The theme of this video, is if vampires invited you over for dinner.
This is why we will keep telling you guys, PTX does not do covers, they do upgrades. and I have to offer an opinion, while headphones are better than just basic computer speakers, if you have a high end sound system that will handle a true 5.1 THX sound system it is even better since you have a true subwoofer and a true vocal range of speakers with left to right and front to back separation.. this one is amazing on 5.1!

While you're watching the video, trying to hear the harmonies and sound effects, and make sense of what's on the table, notice that new things keep falling, on the floor, onto the table, everywhere around them. It's a fun video. Cheeky elf is the perfect description of Mitch.

They have a habit of adding 1 or 2 non Christmas songs to their Christmas albums
They always meticulously choose the right voice for the right part.
Imagine Julie Andrews singing this version to the Von Trappe family.
You are the first reactor I have seen mention the things floating down in the background - go back to the beginning and you will randomly see things come through the air - just a quirky wonderful production idea. and I think Mitch is holding one of the Grammy awards.
Pentatonix's 2022 holiday album, "Holidays Around the World" will be out Oct 28 and they have released an album / tour announcement with their new version of "Joy to the World" and one single, an audio-only of "Prayers for this World". Expect more singles and official videos after the album is released Friday. Also, PTX member Scott Hoying has released his first single, "Mars".

Great reaction. They do have a habit of turning songs I don't really care for usually into ones I really enjoy.
While they were making this video all of a sudden these pieces of cloth started falling from the scaffolding. PTX didn't expect it either. It was a big surprise to them and us.
They were fully aware? The people on cranes had to run down and pick stuff up and start over. The only surprise was the cloth going on Matts chair because he didnt notice it when it happened.

Love this one! Love the edgy makeup all the guys wore in this and Scott's skull. lol. This year you'll have so much PTX Cmas music, they have a brand new Christmas Album dropping on Friday, "Holidays Around the World". They've already released the first song from that Album, "Prayers For This World" which is amazing! And the video for that song will drop on Friday as well!!! Can't wait for new PTX music and yes they pretty much rule the Christmas Music genre!

With Pentatonix expect the unexpected. Thank you for the great reaction to this fun Pentatonix video. Pentatonix always put non-Christmas songs on their Christmas albums. Hallelujah is a great example of that. There is absolutely nothing Christmas-like about that song, yet some people list it as their favor Christmas song because it was on a Pentatonix Christmas album. Pentatonix will release a new video Friday, 10-28-22, "Prayers For This World" along with a new album. Please react to the new video after it is released.
Actually, the original version of Hallelujah that they had recorded for the album had specifically Christmas-themed lyrics that had been written by a Christian music group a few years earlier. However, when they were reviewing the tracks for the album either right before or during their 2016 Asian/Australian tour, they realized that that version just didn’t work for them. So, they scrambled and found a studio in Taipei where they could record a new track on their off day. Kevin has said it was his favorite recording session ever, because he was the group’s translator for the Taiwanese studio people and he could finally combine his knowledge of Mandarin with his music.
@@kathyastrom1315 Yes, but since they used Cohen's lyrics, (and he was the original writer) the version that they used was not a Christmas song. They've said that quite often, especially on their 2021 Christmas tour.
@@vidsorama2 Well, yes, the version that ultimately went on the album is the Cohen one. I am just saying that the reason it was on their Christmas album is because they had originally planned on using the Christmas lyrics version but only changed the version after rejecting their first recording of it. It was probably already included in the album cover track listing artwork.

PTX always chooses one or two songs to release off their Christmas Albums that are lightly themed and can be enjoyed from late Oct all the way through-smart marketing and as yawl would say: “brilliant” for their fans listening enjoyment!

As you head into the holiday season, don’t forget to include Kelly Clarkson in your mix. She’s has some really great Christmas songs like Underneath the Tree, Wrapped in Red, Santa Can You Hear Me (duet with Ariana Grande) and the GORGEOUS Silent Night with Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood. Actually, I’m quite surprised that you haven’t already reacted to Kelly. She is phenomenal. For other great choices, check out her performance of Fancy that she performed at the Kennedy Center Honors for Reba, her 2018 and 2019 Billboard Awards Opening Medley. Brilliant!

The upgrade by PTX for this performance has less to do with the song, which they handle superbly, but fairly straightforward. Rather, the macabre background, which holds throughout the video, does the trick for them this time. I mean, when is the last time you saw random amounts of various fabrics just mysteriously fall from the "sky"? The costuming and unusual "favorite things" were just brilliant ideas for making this performance special.

The vibe of the harmonies are so odd, that they work best while watching the typically unexpected video. I really is a cross between a haloween and Christmas video.
OK. It's been 2 months since you've looked at ptx. A great live one to watch is Aha! Singapore Live at the Star Vista. Avi breaks the speakers 😂. It's a fan vid but it's a good one. If you think you've seen what they can do, this will blow your minds.😊

It's a fan cam so no copyright issues and it is amazing. You have to see Mitch severely jetlagged and on a few red bulls. And Avi breaks the speakers pretty much right away. It's fantastic. Edit: currently watching a reaction to Popspring 2016 and I HAD to come back to remind you about it. You've both mentioned several times how you're surprised by how they get their sound. I know it's 15 minutes long (so way above BP1's comfort zone) but this is a live recording with brilliant audio, it has 3 original songs (one led by Kirstin) PLUS the Evolution of MJ. Honestly, it's the performance that slaps all the naysayers. I would say I'm sorry to nag, but I'm kinda not. 😅

Well, first BP1 had to rebuild the main PC and he lost a lot of the bits and bobs(technical terms)
He is slowly restoring them and should be annoying everyone very soon.
As for all the PTX and Superfruit requests, we have not forgotten about them, we just need to visit other artists along the way.
I am sure you will ensure we don't forget 😅😅

@@tundiel Oh yes! I will be there. I'm at least finding out what is wrong with the old body so in that respect I am better. Nothing fatal just getting old and my weight lifting and athletics I enjoyed in my younger years are biting me in the ass! So to speak.
