  • A short video that would have saved me a few minutes when opening/removing the access panel to gain access to the water valves on this LG WT1101CW top load, direct drive, smart drum washing machine.

    Thank you very much! I couldn't figure out how to get that plastic piece up until I saw your video. I had to replace the Inlet Valve Assembly and it was easy once I saw this.

    Are the valves inside separate pieces or all one part? And interestingly, mine does not have that pry gap. I have been unable to get that cover off completely.

      Do you have the same model #? The valves are mounted together. I think you can buy them individually, but think they’re normally sold together.

    I changed the inlet valve because it was dripping water, now with the new one installed water doesn’t flow in when starting the wash. Any recommendations?

      You’ve likely verified that the wiring is as it was before you disconnected it and that the water supply is opened. Next step would be to look at the ‘control module’. Not sure the part number or name of that part. Another possibility is that the valves you got are faulty.

    Roger Navarro : thank you SIR . MY PROBLEM IS ON RINCE CYCLE : SPINS BUT SOLONID WONT OPEN EVERY NOW AND THEN . LOOKE LIKE 5 SELONIDS THERE ? WHICH ONE IS FOR RINCE CYCLE ? THE OTHERS WORK FINE ON WASH CYCLE . ANYONE EVER HAVE THIS ISSUE ?

      I’d recommend replacing all the valves while you’re in there. They come in a set/group anyhow. Good luck!

    Anyone find a good water inlet valve for this one? I got IE code and cant really find a good replacement part for a good price.

      it was a long time ago, but I did find reasonably priced replacements - they came all together, not just one, I seem to remember. Good luck and I hope you find what you need.
