As a single woman and mother, I appreciate videos like this. Over the years I have saved so much money fixing things myself. Inspired by this old house when I was a young girl, and now you tube. Thanks.

Worked like a charm but was truly glad that my hubby was my wingman. The middle hose, its clamp and the electrical connection were a tight fit. Thank you for the clear instruction!

Before you just replace the valve, know that these are repairable. The solenoid can be pried up and the valve body can be unscrewed and cleaned. I was about to spend $70 on an OEM replacement valve (don't get the aftermarket stuff, they are junk), but decided to try cleaning these first. Took me about an hour to disassemble the 5 valves, clean and reassemble. You want to make sure the tiny pressure equalization holes in the rubber membrane are clean. I put a small sewing needle through each hole to clean them out. Worked great, and no more leaks.

Excellent video and I hope I can use it to fix my own problem. My symptom is water continuously pouring into my washer even when the washer is powered off. The only way I can stop the water from flowing is to shut the supply valves on the wall. (Fortunately the drain function was working so no floods.) I was also getting a FE error message on my washer as it was happening. The online info says FE is a "Water Overflow" error. Another site indicated replacing the Water Inlet Valve will be necessary but I want to be sure this is the only possible solution before I buy the part and give it a go. Do you believe my symptoms warrant the replacement of the Water Inlet Valve as described in your video above? Thank you in advance for all your time on this and the excellent instructions! I look forward to the fix if it's a match!

It does sound as if you do have an issue with the water valve. If you can provide your model number we can look and see which valve is the correct one for your model.

@@appliancepartspros Great, thanks! My model # is WT7100CW and the suffix on the Product Code that seems necessary is ABWEUUS. I appreciate your continued help!

Great video, but you missed unimportant step - required for SOME models. The control box does NOT simply flip forward like you show. Instead, there are some models with a trim strip at the bottom of the control box that needs to be removed. You can loosen the strip by removing two black screws at the bottom (visible from the back of the machine when the cover is off). Once the screws are out you can push on the tabs and the strip will pop out, allowing the control box to tip forward. Also, on my model the two black hoses were REALLY hard to remove. Took quite a bit of effort!

Note*: in order to get the contol panel to layover, two screws had to be removed from under a gray trim piece behind the lid.
