True, ive watch jelly, then outgrew that, next was teo and I think teo will continue to be my favorite yt for all my early adult years even into my 30s,
I unsubscribed to him years ago but only because I like coming back after a while and be surprised with any new content.
This was probably my favourite siege session since getting back to it. Very much enjoyed it (despite what that first match may look like hehe)

hey teo as for the ranked system in 2.0, its not perfect with the hidden system, but it is important to remember that the hidden mmr determines how many points you'll get from winning and how quickly you will rank up. so when the season starts its a free for all, but as the first week or 2 pass of the 3 month season, everyone falls into where they're supposed to be. this season has been out for about 2 weeks now and should start to calm down pretty quickly.
The changes in this season has significantly shifted the meta for the better. Still not great, but it's the most positive improvement yet.

The way ranked 2.0 works is the game auto detects your skill level and gives you hidden mmr. It detects it no matter what gamemode youre playing, and its saved through seasons, unless they say they cleared it. When they released ranked 2.0, they did reset hidden mmr. When you play ranked, the game puts you with people of similar skill, but everyone starts at copper 5. The farther you are from your hidden mmr, the more ranked points you get per win, and you lose less per loss. They made it this way so people had reason to play ranked because the actual rank itself is more of a grind to get to than requiring skill to get to.
Definitley did not reset it got plat 2 ranked 1.0 and i get champ and diamond lobbies every game. So broken :( just means i have 0 fun every single game

I might be wrong, but as someone who quit the game about Three years ago, the ranked feels like it evolved backwards

And yeah the hidden rank thing is confusing but i think it balances out in the end since basically everyone is forced to grind back up at each reset. So you could be a naturally high rank player who ends up in lower ranks and vice versa so your hidden mmr affects more who you go up against versus who you get paired with teammate wise.
So games can get sweaty but i think basically the people in the middle of the park get the balanced experience where we can still enjoy like the old days. Coz ive been playing since beta and i do miss how the game used to be such a vibe before they started catering to the pro league stuff so i only ever hop on these days when i got a 5 stack and we can just all vibe where we are all basically between gold and silver without having to get either a too chaotic experience or a too sweaty experience.
I do wish tho they bring back night maps and open up the map pool and kill the ban system coz all that stuff made the game so repetitive when Ubisoft forgets that most of us just wanna vibe and have fun, its only a small % of the player base that actually falls into that bracket of sweaty pro players and sweaty streamers who care so much about balancing anything and everything. I remember the days of hiding in dead bodies even 😂 but all that stuff basically got sucked out of the game in the name of pleasing pro players :(
The problem was that people were not playing Siege (and ranked). Now you have to grind. Even though you're the best player, you'll need to play a lot to get your Champion rewards. That's what it solved. Playerbase.

To be fair if it had been awhile since I played. It wouldnt exactly encourage me to pick up the game again if I had to jump back even close to my highest rank. Since it not only feels like a whole new game, but those are people active in the changes have been made.
You guys need the muzzle that reduces vertical recoil.

They should make it to where if you reach a certain rank you stay at that rank I don't see why they have this whole deranking system in games when your skill is obviously much higher than the rank you get demoted to
If youve been away for a long time the meta changes, ur game sense changes, everything changes. However i do agree with ur point but maybe they drop u like 3-7 ranks every season just to know ur still good
Nah man siege is like this nowadays. Lots and lots of smurfs, and cheaters (of course) and people just basically sweating at every point to get clips to put on TH-cam and feel validated.
The casual mode is even more sweaty and the matchmaking is very broken.
It very rarely feels like you are facing someone even/ similar skill level.
But I am glad you enjoyed.
And I truly hope other streamers also speak up about the state of this game instead of sympathizing and justifying it.

Ya definitely need to optimise attachments with the new season the meta can be really strict with how the ads and movement speed works now and ranked 2.0 is the worst thing to happen to siege in so long

Siege ranked is so messed up now. You don’t get a rank from how good you are. It’s silly you all start at copper, and build up not how it used to be
