Frost armor seems like it was sometbing made almoat exclusively for pve. Why try to build into frost armor that only gives 2% DR per stack when woven mail is free.... Man I wanted stasis to come out sooo much closer to top yeeesh
Not only that but in PvE it's 36% at max stacks, where behemoth by itself with the way I used it in PvE was 70%. 50% from overshield and 40% from being near crystals. 30% on top of that from resilience. Now it's just terrible.

Hey, dude. I have you to thank for getting me to enjoy Crucible again. I never once used Stasis until after all the nerfs had hit, because I'm an insufferable contrarian. The only Shatterdive kills I've *ever* performed are from a Cryosthesia shot. It still makes me burst into giggling every time. I have a hard time seeing how the frost armor is going to help me much (maybe I'm wrong?), but I'm not switching my Bakris for a technicolour-dream-cape.
It's actually a huge buff for hunter and warlock because one crystal (for hunters a large crystal) is way more valuable as damage resist than a tiny amount of overshield. Don't be sad about those two classes, they gained only a fourth of what behemoth lost though.
Also your view on this is completely fair, speaking form the heart of the icy few of us. Perhaps the prismatic mix with titan might make something new and fun for us. 😢
Prismatic is now just better because you don't have the annoyance of Cryoclasm to worry about, you don't have to cope about frost armor being a shit replacement for rime overshield, you have 3 melees, you have knockout, and any ability kill or knockout punch gives you a diamond lance which of all behemoth related things, got a substantial buff. Behemoth itself is in shambles.
I actually feel really bad for you bro, I hope bungie hears your voice. I met you in a rumble match a while back and ik I’m a good player, have over 4k hours on this game but I got absolutely rolled! I was so furious because I was frozen for 70 percent of the game and I had a hard time adapting because it was my first time experiencing cryo gl; but at the same time I was impressed because when I inspected you had over 20k on a gun that’s never talked about and I realized in that moment that this isn’t just cheese, it’s pure dedication…Found ya channel and been a fan since, mad love and respect brotha!
There is one thing that everyone has forgotten which they changed with howl of storm when stasis came out where you pop howl on walls and uneven surfaces it used to generate all the crystals and detonate since shatter damage was insane at that time they changed it to which it is now where it just spawns a small crystal which is awful....when shatter damage was nuked for pvp they didn't revert this.
I almost forgot about how they changed so many things around frost armour, this is gonna severely hurt the "budget titan" Ballidorse build on Shadebinder that I was actually enjoying these past couple weeks. maybe the pve benefit will be good... right? right??
I saw this coming a mile away when the shards reworked dropped. I was already pessimistic of Warlock’s existing cooldown of six shards fifteen seconds downtime, but then they just added it to the other classes. And forced everyone to eat an aspect + fragment just to generate shards to also nerf chains instant place anywhere DR that didn’t rely on enemy spawns

wow, this is horrible. i've followed your channel for a while and you've convinced me to become a solo behemoth player in that time. it sucks primarily using (one of) the least popular subclasses in the entire game only for the niche it fits to be obliterated. i'm rallying behind the cause to revert these changes but i wouldn't be surprised if nothing happens. thank you Mantrual for opening up the possibilities of fun with behemoth titan to me, it's just tragic that new behemoths won't be able to experience the behemoth we knew.
Man my first flawless was on behemoth a couple months ago. I was running the smg cryoslide nicho build essentially, besides a couple fragments and guns. I loaded in and had a bit of hope when i slid because rather than saying 4 seconds on the cooldown it said 2, but as i slid a corner on 2 people then tried to slide back i realized. “Oh right, I’m fucked.” Even just in normal gunfights, if i try to do a slide flick i get thrown by the slide distance if i have the cryo up.
The biggest punch in the face from most of these stasis changes is that it feels worse in PvE too. Like that was the whole reason these changes happened in the first place but the only winner from it seems to be hunter, and it’s only for boss damage. It’s neutral is still subpar
I can't speak for PvP. However, in PvE, I'm a fervent behemoth acolyte and I've never felt more powerful. Wicked Implement + Cadmus Lancecap has stomped all over the legendary campaign and I expect it to destroy lost sectors, GMs, and raid content as well.
Was max frost armor so strong that you could survive a 3 tap from a hand cannon like you couldn't shit out a barrier on demand with void? And you have solar warlock with Transversives being I think faster and giving a 3rd person pov on cooldown for free.
Ive been a Pk behemoth main for a year and half. You and i have dmed a few times. I hope you enjoy your break...but honestly as a fellow player with a dumb amount of kills on my cqc weapon (shayuras 56k crucible kills) this change really hurt my mood. I loved the whole kit of behemoth and how good it is at movement class and just as i was mastering the kit they changed everything and i feel lost. Just wanted you to know youre not alone. This is not cool 😅

@@Manstrual yeah I do have that stat split and honestly, I'm going to stick with Cyroclasm it's still so good for closing the distance. I'll learn the new timing for the super slide. And yeah basically pks got every benefit halfed but they are still the best way to play smg. I just run 80 mobility, now to get the 25 from pks to have max 100 mobility for the strafe. It used to give 50 free mobility lol.
@@SighDUX yeah, I think I heard they got bugged to not work with the expansion. Also, you should use d2armorpicker and get 80 mobility with a minor mobility mod and take it off for 75. Definitely the play with those boots
im mad at how s**t the healing is with stasis shards are still, like they said they buffed it, but it still pevides awful healing, and the removal of the shield like.. okay yeah we get frost armor, but it still takes longer to get the damage resists, unless we can stack it with woven male witch i don't think is possible (but i havnt tested this out so who knows)... it just feels the same, frost armor is great but its just, they needed the buff the healing at least for stasis hunters and for the love of god give us more stacks per shard like wtf..
Intentional but misunderstood of what "generous" means. You should at least get 9 shards because by default you can use 9 crystals from glacier grenade and howl of the storm. That is not spam. That is using your abilities.
my brother, come join the cryoclasm clan, its not so bad. It'll just have a bigger adjustment period. I think shiver strike is gonna be crazy on this new behemoth though, they added a fragment that slows when you punch people so the melee might actually oneshot when you have frost armor. IF I could get bungie to change behemoth to be viable for pve in a good way, I'd make it lean more into the movement. running straight into a stasis wall was always dangerous as hell so cryoclasm never had a place in high end pve. What if while you're sliding, or with frost armor stacks you had more resistance with cryoclasm on? that'd be at least a motive for pve players to actually learn slide cancelling lol I think behemoth slide cancelling is one if not my most favourite movement in the last 6 years. Titanfall is dead, Quake is dead, TF2 is dying. The last bastion of movement has been destiny for me and sadly even that is getting muddied. I frankly think whoever is in charge of titan has no idea on what identity he wants for the class. Berserker had a good design, but its core is flawed as its centered around spamming abilities, and its sloooowly creeping into all the other light subclasses along these years. We got more survival but at the cost of titan losing more identity as we're pretty much just add clear john now.
First of all, I already use Cryoclasm about 90% of the time. This video exists because while yes I can adjust, I'd rather return to something that I'm familiar with that I know is fun, which is buildcrafting into shard generation. That's not possible anymore, so I'm mad. It's no longer a second option that I can go to to avoid Cryoclasm changes. I've used Behemoth in 3 stacks in PvE, ran GM corrupted and birthplace in less than 12 minutes for platinum, sub hour run of legend onslaught with CammyCakes, all sorts of stuff. Solo GM players use Cryoclasm from what I've seen, I know how strong it is as I know how to do double shatter damage every time you Cryoclasm and absolutely chunk majors. It's a ton of fun for running through missions and campaigns because you go fast. I've been using Cryoclasm for years now, but it's change hurt me enough to fall back to what I know but that change is even more extreme.
I will continue trying to make it work. No matter what. We shall press forward... no matter how much they beat us down... Maybe my icey warlock friends can help me

Super glad I didn’t pre purchase this expansion . Tone deaf is a major understatement for how bad Bungie botched the subclasses. I k own it’s bad when Activision/ Blizzard is doing phenomenal job at giving the players what they want and making the game better, when Bungie is just doing what they want and giving us things we never asked for.🤦🏻♂️
Rip the natural 70% resist, going to 36% in PvE. Boring playstyle too of what you described compared to just spamming ice and not giving a fuck but it still at least works.
I stopped playing the game months ago because I am a behemoth main with cryo and the BXR in my offhand. I have thousands of kills with both weapons and run it in PVE AND PVP. Bungie has ruined the game by stripping the identity from the individual subclasses and the introduction of prismatic is the nail in the coffin for me. I loved that each class and subclass therein had its own niche. Now every class can do what the other ones can and when everything is special, NOTHING is. I’m out for good this time because crafting ruined the chase of weapons and made all new weapons meaningless. Now classes have been blurred, nerfed and made redundant with prismatic which is just plain lazy on Bungies part to not make a NEW darkness class. 🤷🏻♂️

Hey man, I also hate the lack of arcstrider buffs. It has become the weakest hunter subclass in the game now And guess what? Prismatic (just THE BASE BUILD, barely any fragments, no artifact, no exotic class item) is already 10x better than the entire arc kit They also killed Assassin's Cowl because now lethal current aftershock steals your kills and it doesn't give you health and invis anymore :)))))
I wish you at least had full radar while invis from cowl. I stopped using it after that change. These dudes who press one button to go invis ruined the exotic where you have to get an actual kill. Sad times.

@@Manstrual ahhhh well I’m not playing this season as a result of the changes so I wouldn’t know. Once I saw the prismatic reveal I was really disappointed and underwhelmed. I learned a long time ago not to pre purchase games and wait to see what they offer. Best choice I made in a while as my favorite class is gutted. They gave one of the main reasons to play the class, cryoclasm, the Antaeus treatment. The shards thing is awful and the new ice armor is a joke. I feel like they did all this because it’s now free for everyone to get Stasis so they nerfed it preemptively. I honesty think Bungie are incapable of balancing their own game and have no clue what their community wants. They are making a game they want us to play instead of a game we want to play. Buff up to match outliers not nerf every good thing into the ground. I don’t know I’m just over it after 10 years of this.
@@Manstrual also to your point in one of the videos I was the guy you would run into in comp that was running Geomags, strafe glide, symmetry and Lonesome. I ran that load out solely way before it was a thing and would get so much hate for it. But of course because the vocal minority complained about it, the build was gutted and I never played the class again. That is until they releases the lightning surge aspect😆. Then I threw on my T steps and trespasser. The point I am making is that Bungie takes outliers and nails them to the wall rather than evaluating complete trash classes, aspects, fragments, and exotics to bring them up in actual, viable power. Once Stasis came out though I fell in love so hard with the kit of Behemoth and never looked back because nothing else in the game activated my monkey neurons like this one class did. Hopefully Bungie has the sense to undo the changes to a .08% subclass but probably will not.

Yes, like I said I'm not upset you can't take a team into pvp and spam infinite ice. PvE hurts more, and most of all you can't even take a single behemoth into pvp and make as many shards as what you have available at base. With no exotics or teammates, you can make 9 crystals, so you should at least be able to generate 9 shards. One behemoth is useless, let alone compared to void titan. Can't even share frost armor to teammates, let alone max stacks being worse than a void overshield in terms of effective health on top of the fact that you can't even generate max stacks lmfao

At base, one titan has a glacier grenade and a howl melee, that's 9 crystals. With literally 0 exotics or teammates you should be able to make at least 9 shards. I don't care that 3 or 6 behemoth titans is useless anymore, we've had nearly 4 years to abuse it. It's the fact that one behemoth is useless. They nerfed multiple behemoths by nerfing single behemoth. It's really just dumb. Historically I don't do this nearly as much as cryoclasm and other things but since cryoclasm was getting a dumb change too I wanted to fall back to this, but that's also going to be a waste. Bungie obviously was targeting triple behemoth but their change affected solo players who can't spam infinite crystals like the gameplay. This is a terrible way to change things.

Anything that gave overshield actually gets a buff from frost armor since they stack on top. Behemoth got hurt the most.

Yep that's the only usable behemoth strat in PvE now. It's super effective but not as fun as don't give a damn run at GM tier enemies and spam ice.

@@Manstrual yeah I do have that stat split and honestly, I'm going to stick with Cyroclasm it's still so good for closing the distance. I'll learn the new timing for the super slide. And yeah basically pks got every benefit halfed but they are still the best way to play smg. I just run 80 mobility, now to get the 25 from pks to have max 100 mobility for the strafe. It used to give 50 free mobility lol.

Also, you should use d2armorpicker and get 80 mobility with a minor mobility mod and take it off for 75. Definitely the play with those boots

im mad at how s**t the healing is with stasis shards are still, like they said they buffed it, but it still pevides awful healing, and the removal of the shield like.. okay yeah we get frost armor, but it still takes longer to get the damage resists, unless we can stack it with woven male witch i don't think is possible (but i havnt tested this out so who knows)... it just feels the same, frost armor is great but its just, they needed the buff the healing at least for stasis hunters and for the love of god give us more stacks per shard like wtf..

Intentional but misunderstood of what "generous" means. You should at least get 9 shards because by default you can use 9 crystals from glacier grenade and howl of the storm. That is not spam. That is using your abilities.
my brother, come join the cryoclasm clan, its not so bad. It'll just have a bigger adjustment period. I think shiver strike is gonna be crazy on this new behemoth though, they added a fragment that slows when you punch people so the melee might actually oneshot when you have frost armor.
IF I could get bungie to change behemoth to be viable for pve in a good way, I'd make it lean more into the movement. running straight into a stasis wall was always dangerous as hell so cryoclasm never had a place in high end pve. What if while you're sliding, or with frost armor stacks you had more resistance with cryoclasm on? that'd be at least a motive for pve players to actually learn slide cancelling lol
I think behemoth slide cancelling is one if not my most favourite movement in the last 6 years. Titanfall is dead, Quake is dead, TF2 is dying. The last bastion of movement has been destiny for me and sadly even that is getting muddied. I frankly think whoever is in charge of titan has no idea on what identity he wants for the class. Berserker had a good design, but its core is flawed as its centered around spamming abilities, and its sloooowly creeping into all the other light subclasses along these years. We got more survival but at the cost of titan losing more identity as we're pretty much just add clear john now.
First of all, I already use Cryoclasm about 90% of the time. This video exists because while yes I can adjust, I'd rather return to something that I'm familiar with that I know is fun, which is buildcrafting into shard generation. That's not possible anymore, so I'm mad. It's no longer a second option that I can go to to avoid Cryoclasm changes.
I've used Behemoth in 3 stacks in PvE, ran GM corrupted and birthplace in less than 12 minutes for platinum, sub hour run of legend onslaught with CammyCakes, all sorts of stuff. Solo GM players use Cryoclasm from what I've seen, I know how strong it is as I know how to do double shatter damage every time you Cryoclasm and absolutely chunk majors. It's a ton of fun for running through missions and campaigns because you go fast. I've been using Cryoclasm for years now, but it's change hurt me enough to fall back to what I know but that change is even more extreme.

I stopped playing the game months ago because I am a behemoth main with cryo and the BXR in my offhand. I have thousands of kills with both weapons and run it in PVE AND PVP. Bungie has ruined the game by stripping the identity from the individual subclasses and the introduction of prismatic is the nail in the coffin for me. I loved that each class and subclass therein had its own niche. Now every class can do what the other ones can and when everything is special, NOTHING is. I’m out for good this time because crafting ruined the chase of weapons and made all new weapons meaningless. Now classes have been blurred, nerfed and made redundant with prismatic which is just plain lazy on Bungies part to not make a NEW darkness class. 🤷🏻♂️

I mean the class literally was gutted after release, the cryoclasm nerf is absolutely ridiculous because as we all know when your kit is not available on demand it may as well not even be there. The shards nerf is crazy because I am LITERALLY one of the only people in raids and nightfalls running Behemoth and now i can’t even keep my kit going.

Hey man, I also hate the lack of arcstrider buffs. It has become the weakest hunter subclass in the game now
And guess what? Prismatic (just THE BASE BUILD, barely any fragments, no artifact, no exotic class item) is already 10x better than the entire arc kit
They also killed Assassin's Cowl because now lethal current aftershock steals your kills and it doesn't give you health and invis anymore :)))))
I wish you at least had full radar while invis from cowl. I stopped using it after that change. These dudes who press one button to go invis ruined the exotic where you have to get an actual kill. Sad times.

@@Manstrual ahhhh well I’m not playing this season as a result of the changes so I wouldn’t know. Once I saw the prismatic reveal I was really disappointed and underwhelmed. I learned a long time ago not to pre purchase games and wait to see what they offer. Best choice I made in a while as my favorite class is gutted. They gave one of the main reasons to play the class, cryoclasm, the Antaeus treatment. The shards thing is awful and the new ice armor is a joke. I feel like they did all this because it’s now free for everyone to get Stasis so they nerfed it preemptively. I honesty think Bungie are incapable of balancing their own game and have no clue what their community wants. They are making a game they want us to play instead of a game we want to play. Buff up to match outliers not nerf every good thing into the ground. I don’t know I’m just over it after 10 years of this.
@@Manstrual also to your point in one of the videos I was the guy you would run into in comp that was running Geomags, strafe glide, symmetry and Lonesome. I ran that load out solely way before it was a thing and would get so much hate for it. But of course because the vocal minority complained about it, the build was gutted and I never played the class again. That is until they releases the lightning surge aspect😆. Then I threw on my T steps and trespasser. The point I am making is that Bungie takes outliers and nails them to the wall rather than evaluating complete trash classes, aspects, fragments, and exotics to bring them up in actual, viable power. Once Stasis came out though I fell in love so hard with the kit of Behemoth and never looked back because nothing else in the game activated my monkey neurons like this one class did. Hopefully Bungie has the sense to undo the changes to a .08% subclass but probably will not.

tone deaf bungie devs? what else is new. they do not play their own game, and if they do, they do not play it to the extent that REAL players do. they genuinely only look at things as they appear on paper, on graphs, in theoreticals. i haven't played the game in 4 months, i haven't purchased the final shape. the game has only gone down hill over the years and i truly with my whole heart hope it all fails so that someone fires these anti-gamer corporate scumbags. losing all of those devs has been a big clusterfuck and of course any drops in quality can be attributed to that. the people that need to go are the ones who made the decision to fire employees and then expect quality to rise.

Yes, like I said I'm not upset you can't take a team into pvp and spam infinite ice. PvE hurts more, and most of all you can't even take a single behemoth into pvp and make as many shards as what you have available at base. With no exotics or teammates, you can make 9 crystals, so you should at least be able to generate 9 shards. One behemoth is useless, let alone compared to void titan. Can't even share frost armor to teammates, let alone max stacks being worse than a void overshield in terms of effective health on top of the fact that you can't even generate max stacks lmfao
@@Manstrual I get the sentiment in pve, verglas hunter with renewal grasps got a similar treatment where frost armor is so underwhelming even at max stacks it feels far weaker than resistx3 when we had it, which causes the duskfield to feel completely useless

It does suck specifically for titan as they make more shards and are the only class without an exotic that gives frost armor with the renewal and ballidorse changes. At base, one titan has a glacier grenade and a howl melee, that's 9 crystals. With literally 0 exotics or teammates you should be able to make at least 9 shards. I don't care that 3 or 6 behemoth titans is useless anymore, we've had nearly 4 years to abuse it. It's the fact that one behemoth is useless. They nerfed multiple behemoths by nerfing single behemoth. It's really just dumb.
Historically I don't do this nearly as much as cryoclasm and other things but since cryoclasm was getting a dumb change too I wanted to fall back to this, but that's also going to be a waste. Bungie obviously was targeting triple behemoth but their change affected solo players who can't spam infinite crystals like the gameplay. This is a terrible way to change things.
@Manstrual as a pve behemoth enthusiast, I agree. But there is no way in heaven or hell they don't change it, so all we can do is wait. Or have them buff icefall (that's a personal thing)
@@user-hk7st5ok9s icefall doesn't need a buff. You get 50% resist from overshield, 100 HP, and on top of it frost armor. It's literally the only thing that got a buff in this entire behemoth update.
