Good morning 🆎!! That bread is pronounced HOLLA. That bread is pretty and its eggy too. I like this version of French Toast better than the traditional way. It freezes great too. I just cut a serving size and place into a freezer bag. Half and half is a great alternative for milk. Makes it more custard-y.
Pro tip for brown sugar: Put brown sugar in glass container with a piece of bread. The moisture from the bread will keep your brown sugar from getting hard. You will have to change the bread out because once the bread loses its consistency it will get hard.

MAIN!!!! You never want to make something that you’ve never made before for people you want to impress. But, AB will make you think you can. He is right. This is a crowd-pleaser! I had to double the recipe except for the amount of the brown sugar layer at the bottom. The only thing I changed was I placed the cubes in a large bowl and poured the custard over the cubes and lightly folded to ensure the cubes soaked up the custard then poured in the prepared dish. I baked at 375F in a glass dish for about 30 minutes until the top was golden and the bottom was bubbling. I was asked for the recipe and asked not to forget to send the recipe. Thank you, Mr. AB!

This was absolutely DELICIOUS. I made two of your recipes for a last minute "brunch". This one was a hit....I ended up having to make two of them. I made one in a 9x13 and the other one in an 8x11 pyrex - the "smaller" one was way moister - but the were both delicious!! So easy and quick to put together! Thank you!!!

I've used your other recipes and they worked great. This one was soggy toward the bottom. Maybe I used too much bread. I cooked it with a convection oven, maybe that changed it. I even put it back in for longer and it was still soggy on the bottom. I love your channel.

My Dad Al sways said the best cooks clean as you go. I fully agree and practice that and always think kf my dad
My dad taught me to clean as I go, I've never regretted it!! It's so lovely to eat and not have a disaster area to clean up afterwards!

This also works in a plastic container. Please allow time for the sugar to soften- you may need to revisit what you're making! 😊
