So from what I've seen in this comic so far and the obvious alternate universe premise, I can assume that Gaster has something to do with the kids getting sent to a different world. I'm guessing that Gaster is trying to make his way back from the Void or make contact with whoever can notice his presence and it's supposed to do with those doors and that portal to that new world that the kids are in. Also, I'm assuming that that portal was meant for Sans and/or Papyrus since they have more experience with changing worlds.
Please make part 6 I really want to see gaster so bad
