I wanted a car that does not appeal to women, not a pretty car. The e60 is NOT pretty and for that I find it great. It paved the way for the future design language and a lot of its "ugly" features pretty much are the standard today. It was way ahead of its time, albeit with unnecessary tech baggage. I find that, however gives it character, sorta Alfa Romeo unreliability/mood swings. Lets not kid ourselves, we live for that.

My C300 Mercedes tops out at 250 km/hr and i recently pushed it to 250 (speedometer) on the Autbahn A5 from Frankfurt to Alsfeld. I used to drive that fast and faster in a Porsche 928, but now that I am almost 80 years old I really don't feel comfortable at those speeds. My reactions and reflexes are not up to it anymore. It's a shame because I always enjoy driving at high speeds, but it's no fun when I feel my muscles tightening up and knees shaking. Enjoy it while you can. It is good to see a company that corrects its mistakes and stands by its customers as Lemforder has. That lift is also a wonderful device. The Germans have a sensible approach to speed , unlike Australia with its rigidly low speed limits. But you are fortunate to not have kangaroos there. I nearly hit one in my Chrysler SRT8 just yesterday , only 300m from home. They will wreck your day.

yeah its not that great there's always an AMG or Ford blocking the left lane and you're only allowed to overtake on the left lane otherwise you get a fine when the Police catches you.
most of the time you come flying down the left lane with 210km/h to 250km/h or even more and then you have to slow down back to 100km/h to 130km/h if you're lucky than you speed up again and the circle continues. (250km/h - 155mph, 100km/h - 62mph).

This is only the 3rd video I am watching from you and I really feel the need to comment again. You really raise the bar on all these channels out there. In every little detail you show how things should be done. If its how to open bolts, how to torque them, (especially with suspension work and believe me, I saw "professional" workshops torquing them on the lift) even holding the steering wheel in a controlled but still relaxed manner when high speed driving. Not like all this show off dudes with their highspeedautobahnposerchannels and then seeing them with white knuckles cramping on the steering wheel. This is really a channel where people can learn something. Highly appreciated!

Fixing a car, making it right, then driving the wheels off it. Wonderful - exactly how it should be.

E39 M5, a car that would make any BMW enthusiast crawl for miles to be able to drive it on a de-restricted autobahn or anywhere for that matter.
Great video and editing; A real pleasure to watch and listen.

I have an E46, E60 and an E39 and the E39 is my favourite by far even though the E60 is much newer
But for ultimate driving theater, excitement, noise (oh my god, the engine and exhaust note 😍) and edge of your seat speed addiction, few cars come close to the E46

When I replaced the front thrust arms on my E34 a few years ago I upgraded to Powerflex bushes in both front control arms, and wow what a difference! The car feels rock solid and confident inspiring in the turns again, would recommend highly. It would be so cool to have access to the Autobahn on a daily basis. When I drove on it a long time ago the 320d that I rented was on winter tires so there was a sticker on the dash to not exceed 210km , needless to say I exceeded that a little bit,but could not believe what that car was capable of with that base model engine.

This video was the highlight of my day. I love your videos. It's hard to come across a BMW (or any car for that matter) that is meticulously cared for and maintained. Your E39 looks immaculate. These cars deserve care and superb attention to detail. You have done a great job! Keep up the great work.

One little trick. Put a big c clamp across the back of the caliper and the front pads backing plate before removing the guide pins. You can compress the piston easily and give your self plenty of wiggle room fro the new pads and disassembly.
