    I received mines and Love it!!! 20fps no miss frames and the WB looks great!!! Love it. I see a lot of comments but not one of them has said they've touched this flash....hummm

      Do the ATG's real test & there is no way in hell it can do 20fps:
      1. ASA/ISO100
      2. Subject to flash is 10 feet or 3 meters
      3. Flash set @ 35mm
      ATG's specs:
      ATG Pro-10 2400 AirTTL Power Pack (modified with Canon/Hasselblad/Sony RT) can't do.
      Sony HVL-F60 series & even Profoto A1 series are rated 80ws or less
      ATG & Profoto Pro-10 2400 are rated at 2,400ws
      So if a 2,400ws can't do 20fps, you are saying a 80ws (yours) able to do 20fps without cheating?

      @@angelisone lol I'm not sure about in Hell but on planet earth it can and it does do 20fps at f8 ISO 100, 1/50 shutter 10 feet from subject and it's INCREDIBLE!!!. No mis-fires at all not one. I know because I've been testing and using it daily. Have you? no so go back and rent the flash and do your homework because it does. People just talk without ever using the gear smh. Its a bit pricey but i'm so happy i bought it. This flash is a beast!!!! LOVE IT!

    Sony, if you're listening, if you want me to buy flash from you, power them with Li-ion batteries to cut recycle time.
    Integrate the transmitter radio into future alpha cameras so that we don't need another trigger when applying off camera flash.
    By the way, good job integrating the control interface into the camera.

      I think it was Canon who just powered their latest flash with the R5/R6 battery, I liked that feature.

      The fact that Minolta, who Sony bought, had wireless flash control built into the a7 film camera but they don't have it now, it's insane.

    • @ArtKingjr
      @ArtKingjr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They won't listen. The fact it's 2022 and a flash that cost this much doesn't have it's own battery is crazy. I'll be returning mine next week. I just got it yesterday. Btw the ttl reading is trash between the flash and camera. I have some more testing to do, but yikes. I do better with my Godox.

    The greatest thing Sony has brought to the flash world is the swivel head design, and that's barely even demonstrated here, let alone featured. Weird promo.

  • @axeltroja9390
    @axeltroja9390 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I already know what I don't like about these flash units. If I have no available light I cannot focus on my target. In the past we had red light that created a grid on the target so we had edge to focus on and I know this would still work out on Sony cameras, because I made a crossover to test that. Now we have flash units that have no build in auto focus assist light and I think it is not a good option to use the Flash as af light and then trigger a flash a 1/10sec later. That probably causes closed eyes.

    Hate to say this Sony, still have drawbacks:
    1. Using ATG/Godox/Nissin/Quantum battery pack will over heat the flash & later will kill it
    2. HSS is disabled once head is flipped
    3. It's still an 80ws weak flashlight & no way it can do 5fps @ these setting ISO100/10 feet/F8.0
    4. AA is still needed when using external battery pack
    5. Fresnel lens melt down like the Canon EL-1 & Nikon SB-5000
    Let's not forget:
    Not compatible with the king of flashes/monolights, ATG/Godox & queen of flashes/monolights, ATG/Jinbei
    All speedlites can only dream of over 80ws.
    Speedlites DO NOT have the power of 200ws, 300ws, 400ws, 500ws, 600ws, 800ws up to 2,000ws.

    • @angelisone
      @angelisone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@town3 Why not do the test? When one doing this for a living, one doesn't have one flash & 4AA and extra AA around.
      Again, 80ws is just a weak flashlight. Even 400ws is weak for us.
      And overheating, shutdown & Fresnel lens melted are unacceptable.
      2021, Sony can make cameras. But flashes they suck at it.
      < No ATG Auto2
      < No ATG graphene batteries
      < No PC Sync
