Very good video. I’ve had great success with target training. Also, I love your idea of putting the bird on the floor. I usually just put the bird down and walk away. I don’t like putting the bird in it’s cage because I don’t want the bird to associate the cage with anything negative. And, I can’t imagine getting bitten and not making a sound. 😂😂😂. Whom ever came up with that has never been on the receiving end of a really good bite. ❤️
Hi Kayla idk if you got my message, But I wanted to know how soon can I introduce a nest box for my two white bellied caiques? They are both currently over a year old , so i basically want to know what the perfect time to introduce it to them so they can get used to it etc
Sorry, I am behind on messages. My babies have a nest box even though they aren’t with their parents! You can introduce it anytime Dash mine sleep in their’s.
@@ParrotBliss Last thing I been looking on Amazon for a nice nest box but you never know what you are really getting any suggestions I'm where I can buy the appropriate size nest box for caiques?

I love your white capped pionus, he is so cute! My Floyd is just like your Milo (lavender). I have a male Barraband parakeet (superb parrot) coming Wednesday, I m so excited! I am hoping he will be buddies with my Floyd since they are both young. Time will tell.
In our local Facebook group someone has a red bellied parrot and an irn. They're so opposite! She's really struggled with her irn so I shared this video with her and told her u have several. Last night we visited a friend who has 11 parrots and her irn (female) is one of her sweetest (I held her), and she has a variety of parrots, so there are exceptions for sure 😊
Why does my Amazon parrot fly onto me then bite me? If he's afraid of me then why does he try to fly on me any chance he gets? And when I leave him on my arm for a few seconds he'll give my arm a big chomp. He bites in general but it really perplexes me that he'll even fly onto me and bite me. I've had him for two years now and he still bites me with no improvement. Should I buy him a female and turn him into an aviary bird? I work from home and i'm literally with him hours everyday and he still isn't tame, what else can do? Sorry for the rant. Just very frustrated.
No, h'es only bonded with me. He's very scared of other people, if anyone else walks in the room he'll fly to the side of the cage. I got him when he was 6 months old from a pet store and now he's about 2. No other parrots. He also screams like crazy but that's another issue. I don't think I can keep him like this for longer. 😞 @@ParrotBliss

@@ParrotBliss Hi, Percy is male. The first week he was with me, he climbed my net curtains and got his claw caught. He was upside down and he was panicking.
