- With this cuboro cugolino marble run, one marble starts and 66 marbles arrive at the bottom. A fitting name for this marble run is therefore "Route 66".
Some of the special building blocks used in the track and the marble wheel were made by Dietmar Wächtler ( / @diddiskulima ).

Magnetic rotation, if you listen to them goin up, you will hear a Motor rotating a magnet, making the stall balls go up. I was the same as a kid

@@webanite9907Notice how just before that part different marbles go down two different routes? Gravity pulls the glass marbles down one path and magnets pull the steel BBs the other way.

The price of these components. . . Fine Swiss craftsmanship, the cost of good hardwood, design of the individual blocks to interact with each other and keep the balls moving: I can see where it comes from.
But that set is about the price of a good used BMW. The kind with four wheels that actually runs.
That said, I am glad our hero made the choice he or she did. That is one epic marble run, and a lot of work and creativity went into it: Well done!
Good point, but something tells me this marble set will be in use long after a used BMW gets junked, not to mention that until that inevitable day, BMW stands for "Buying Maintenance Worries." Somethings in life are priceless, others are overpriced.
