You should try installing a smaller rear sprocket to get more top end since its running a cvt. That small engine can easily go 45 bone stock no problem.

One of the most famous german small cc bikes and scooters are the 80's Simson motorcycles. With a 60 cc two stroke engine it reaches a top speed of 35 miles an hour. Great little maschines.

Clearly Zack this should start a new series with sketch bikes called “The Daily Abandoning” - real question is when it doesn’t break, how many miles do you get on that hog? Lol - said it at the end, 40 mpg, yes pathetic
Hi you two (not forgetting Eri!) mentally beautiful RevZillians! I’ve seen both the “building of-“, “driving to Aspen with-“, and now also the “commuting with-“ D&D-mini bike episodes! Went into the Denver Revzilla location yesterday to pick up a few things and this bike is on display, briefcase and everything. Pretty cool to see it in person. 👍
Put a Stage 1 on it and do a governor delete on it. You will double the speed of the mini bike. You can go all out and put a cam, flywheel and a billet rod in it and push it over 60 mph! A torque converter is a must on mini bikes that do a lot of hills, twists and turns. I have a Coleman CT200U-EXR and i love it. We ride 20+ miles a day and we have a blast. With my size and weight, I run 55-60 all day long.

A smaller sprocket on the back will give you more speed also when you put on a new chain adjust your engine mount all the way back then put on your new chain you may have to remove some links ,as the chain stretches you can move your engine forward to take up the slack ,your chain should only have a quarter inch - half an inch travel in its slackness ,keep chain well oiled and it should last for years
Honestly, with a better seat, bigger fuel tank, and a fairly sizable muffler to quiet down the exhaust, the vehicle would be a lot nicer. And some glue could fix that mirror. Especially if you used a suspension for the horns/handles, to reduce the vibrations. And maybe also add a two-speed gearbox, so you can move faster, even if with a 1:1.5 maximum gear ratio. Or bigger wheels, at the very least, to achieve the same result differently. And please add one of those blinker systems for bikes, if you don't add one for motorcycles, at the very least. I wonder how a homemade muffler would work, on this moped.

What I find interesting is I grew up in the same area you're riding this mini bike in and when I was a kid I had a similar mini bike and I would get pulled over about 50% of the time I tried to ride it on the street. After my fourth ticket within a year the judge said one more of these and you won't be driving until you're 21. I notice also a lot of videos with Sur-Rons riding around on city streets unlicensed doing wheelies and carrying on and almost never getting pulled over these days. I guess my point is policing must have changed a lot. With that said I currently live in a small town in Oregon and I get pulled over almost every time I try to ride my Sur-Ron or my off-road only zero even a couple blocks to the store.
I have a go kart with a harbor freight 212, no governor, the same torque converter, 35 chain and 11" tall rear tires. It will top out on the dirt road I live on at 40+ mph. Just some information.
