They stated in an interview that they weren’t trying to sound like zeppelin. One brother loves folk, there singer mentioned emulating Aerosmith as far as his stage presence. They all love completely different styles of rock. You put it all together and you have a great band GVF 👊🏻
Robert Plant said in an interview that he was told by Josh that he was trying to emulate Aerosmith if anything and all 4 members like completely different styles of rock. I own everything Led Zeppelin has ever put out on cd and those 2 GVF records do not sound like those 8 zepplin records I’ve been listening to for 35 years.
@@d.pinit7796 The whole albums, no, but a few of the songs for sure could be Led Zeppelin songs. Had someone told me Highway Song was an unreleased Led Zeppelin song when I first heard it, I would have believed them. I've been listening to Led Zep for over 30 years now and there are tons of similarities. GVF are extremely talented. I hope they stay relevant for 40 more years.
Nathan Stevens A lot of their fans are “ACAB 🧚🏻💅🏻✨🏳️🌈” girls that say “I-” and “ALAKAJHDKA” a lot. Their music is good, but they’re not cool. If you want a band that’s cool, there needs to be another Guns N’ Roses or Mötley Crüe. They’re cool.
@@Legolas2 I think you mean controversial. The 70's and 80's Bands sang about the Devil. Of course back then mainstream society was religious so that worked. Today singing about the "Devil" has lost its effects because Religion is no longer mainstream. Marliyn Manson who has a new album out said noting has "Shock Value" again because everything that could have been controversial has already been done. So what can a young Rock band do in 2020 to stand out? Sing against Gays? Sing against Trump? Sing about Putin and the Russians? My point is Rock bands need to become relevant again...
The only new band I've given a shit about in well over 20 years. I've listened to them almost daily for 4 years, and have yet to get sick of them. Be prepared, world. We've got a course-changing band on our hands.
@@joeruiz4010 It's so sad, but true. I think The White Stripes were the last band to thoroughly impress me and give me hope for rock's future. However that act could only last so long. Good rock music like this has a SOUL and the music industry is SOUL-LESS. They don't get it, and they never will.
What a breath of fresh air. Heard one of their songs in a store. I thought who made this 70s song I don’t know. Searched for the song in my truck outside the store. Now here I am. There is hope yet for music.
Can't believe it lol I'm 10 days clean and sober from a sad and vicious 6month dope relapse. Prior to that had 9 months clean and literally listened to the peaceful anthem album everyday loving life. Realized that I haven't listened to any music since I've been back in my rightful mind, put on the album today and actually smiled, cried a little while remembering how alive I was while jamming out to you guys last summer of 2019... then I was just wishing for a little more, alittle something new greta van fleet music and when? Had no idea it would be tonight. I appreciate your music so much and I owe you guys for keeping me loving life clean a day at a time. Definitely glad that some people can enjoy your music while getting lifted or drinkin some but I have an allergy and or disease that eventually leads me to being full blown junkbox. Sorry haven't really spoken or texted anyone in a week while collecting and bringing myself back to reality that is my life. I'm choosing the road of recovery for now and hopefully as long as I live since, lord knows, just makes my life worth living. Thank you Greta Van fleet for real. Can't wait to see a live show! Love Greta & this song has such a happy goofy vibe. The style of the video makes me think of my youth in the '70s & '80s. Would love to go back & do it all again
Recently, I got invited to join some friends down in Chicago for a Protomen and Cybertronic Spree concert. Just discovered this band in the same month. I'll have to look for when they're going on tour as well now. What a time to be alive.
Joshua Gilbert are you kidding me they were cranking so much out they put out the double EP and almost immediately followed with an album and said they’re already working on the next one.
@Mr. DGAF all good things take time. Honestly I think greta van fleet would be stupid if they were just cranking out tons music. It makes music less special in my eyes when its falling out of the artists asshole.
I believe rock fans to be the biggest babies of any genre of music. They're just very hard to please. For that reason the genre has taken a big dip. I applaud bands like GVF that i believe bridge the gap between older fans and new fans.

I was born in the 50's in Toronto and was privileged to go to lots of concerts at Maple Leaf Gardens. I'm a huge fan of this band. They've got a great sound. I've always loved Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Styx, and GVF is like a blast from the past. I'm a grandma now, and I'll be rocking till I die.
During the days of the first lock down, which were the hardest, this song brings me infinite joy. Finally a young Band that made good Rock. I did all the lock down by myself, and as I looked at the other buildings from my apartment in Milan, I wondered when it would all be over. Music has played an important role. Rock is not dead!
My son just turned 5 in March, and this is one of his most favorite songs. We listen to it on the way home from the babysitter on most days. Volume way up, windows way down!
There was a lot of speculation that GVF was going to release content in early 2020, but it didn't come to fruition. The fact that the boys waited and picked this as the time to release a new single speaks volumes. I believe that if this had come six months ago it wouldn't have had the impact it has now. This was such spark in such a dark and confusing time. All I can say is these boys have found their stride and I cannot wait to hear what the rest of the album has in store.
Izalith a lot of music by a lot of artists has come out during this time, I’m pretty sure they had this record ready for a while now... I do believe they waited, either a management decision for a boys decision who knows, but the closer we are to opening everything up again the better it is to push with new music and a new album end 2020 - early 2021 and start 2021 touring once again
Lyrics: I’ve seen many people There are so many people Some are much younger people And some are so old I’ve seen many places There are so many places And where are the people going Will they choose the road... I’ve packed my bags, and I’ve got my freedom I’ve sacked the rules, so I don’t have to heed them I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden I have but a lifetime Seems so long but it flies by And in the moments passing I’ll bear with no load I have yet to wander Many miles far yonder And with so much left to ponder I choose the road... I’ve packed my bags, and I’ve got my freedom I’ve sacked the rules, so I don’t have to heed them I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden I’ve packed my bags, and I’ve got my freedom I’ve sacked the rules, so I don’t have to heed them I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden

I can modestly say that I adore this band.
Please don't stop making magic with you divine talents.
Thank you Greta Van Fleet.
I hope these guys never stop sounding like Greta Van Fleet!!
Good music is finally making a come back! This is one of my favorites. It is Greta Van Fleet but with a little twist of Rush in it. Am i the only one that noticed that? These guys are the real deal. This master piece should be in the soundtrack of America baby! 😉
I was wondering if someone heard rush 👍
This song is like a party that I never want to end.
I love how they are getting a their own sound, it sounds like 70´s rock, but in a way sound like that their music as grown
the opening part of the music video and song is perfect for a Sinister movie
This song proves that their love of 70's rock runs deeper than just Zeppelin.
Yeah they knock off rush too
Creedence, AC/DC, Deep Purple...
Btw I think it's interesting to approach today's world's problems with a 70s adventure like solid played rock music.
Speechless, this is possibly my favorite song by them now... Something is happening in rock right now, whatever it is it's magical.
I've been thinking the same since these guys came out. A rock and roll revival.
There needs to be a band that makes it cool to like rock. Greta is good, but they don’t do that. Hopefully they ignite someone though
@@Legolas2
They're definitely doing that, as a 14 year old kid, I can report that they are
Nathan Stevens A lot of their fans are “ACAB 🧚🏻💅🏻✨🏳️🌈” girls that say “I-” and “ALAKAJHDKA” a lot.
The video very much felt like an homage to touring and the fans💗💗
I'd love a Lyric video.
Hello how are you doing today.
The only new band I've given a shit about in well over 20 years. I've listened to them almost daily for 4 years, and have yet to get sick of them.
Be prepared, world. We've got a course-changing band on our hands.
Hoping so, but you know the story with the "Music Industry". They only want Mumble-Rap. Rock Music has been shunned out since the mid-2000s.
@@joeruiz4010 It's so sad, but true. I think The White Stripes were the last band to thoroughly impress me and give me hope for rock's future. However that act could only last so long. Good rock music like this has a SOUL and the music industry is SOUL-LESS. They don't get it, and they never will.
@matthatter2849 1000% agreement. Country music is soulless too. It's just pop-rap with a twang. Marin Morris being a big example.
@Joe Ruiz Oh no argument there! Modern country is garbage.
THIS IS HAPPINESS IN THE FORM OF A SONG!
Nailed it
Love the vocals. He's superb. And they really know how to write.
What a breath of fresh air.
Heard one of their songs in a store. I thought who made this 70s song I don’t know. Searched for the song in my truck outside the store. Now here I am. There is hope yet for music.
These f'ers rock.. Glad rocks still alive.. Barely
Peace ✌
Welcome back man, stay clean and healthy! Peace!! ✌️
Well done! Stay strong and enjoy the music,
It can literally be a lifesaver. 💗
Congrats man music is a wonderful thing that helps many !!!!
God bless you man! Peace ✌
Congrats man! I suggest seeing them live. I saw them live in LA front row last year and I loved them!
I’m British and this band is amazing ✌🏾🇬🇧
Love Greta & this song has such a happy goofy vibe. The style of the video makes me think of my youth in the '70s & '80s. Would love to go back & do it all again
Recently, I got invited to join some friends down in Chicago for a Protomen and Cybertronic Spree concert. Just discovered this band in the same month. I'll have to look for when they're going on tour as well now. What a time to be alive.
Makes me want to go on a road trip in the 70's.
okay peaceful army, it's time to go on a roadtrip
Ha I get it
I honestly don't get the haters for them, they really have a nostalgic vibe and they're forging their own sound day by day. Love this new track guys !
i love GVF but they just take forever to come out with music. i think that’s where most of their hate comes from
Joshua Gilbert are you kidding me they were cranking so much out they put out the double EP and almost immediately followed with an album and said they’re already working on the next one.
Same class of pathetic haters that ragged on the The Black Crowes or the Tea Party in the early 90's.
I'm a black 57 year old man since my boy prince is gone today July of 2022 is my first time hearing this band and I have got say they rock haven't felt this excited about rock and roll since guns and roses these guys like roses have the look the sound they have what it takes to go as long as they want refreshing to hear real music again
"We need rock n roll, we believe in rock n roll"
We need Greta Van Fleet ❤
Yeeees dear
YES! I’m deployed right now, and we only get internet every so often. I was praying they would release a song by the next time I got some connection! Such a great surprise! I’ve been listening to this non stop! Cannot wait for the album!!
Thank you for your service.
Be safe and thank you for your service.
Best wishes and stay safe 😊
Thank you for your service from an old fart navy vet!
Thank you for your service! Keep on rockin'!
Best band of our time
I'm 65 and love this music.
What a beautiful smile, they look so happy, I’m going to cry
i had a huge grin watching this whole thing. i’m so glad you guys are back. :,)
And eyes like this
I was born in the 50's in Toronto and was privileged to go to lots of concerts at Maple Leaf Gardens. I'm a huge fan of this band. They've got a great sound. I've always loved Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Styx, and GVF is like a blast from the past. I'm a grandma now, and I'll be rocking till I die.
My favorite drummer in rock!
This song feels like life ... Life being breathed into me again... Vocals, guitar, drums .. all of it just electrical!!
We all have our influences. Not everyone takes them to a cool place like this. Massive respect.
How to make this week better after eddie's death, let one of my all time favorite band out a new song!!!! 🤘🤘❤️❤️
This proves that Rock will not die! Amazing band!
They didn't really wait, COVID was and is a thing. That is why it wasn't released
The best thing to come out of Frankenmuth, Michigan keep on rocken guys.I love it
The more I listen the better it gets
Life's short, travel light, and listen to Greta Van Fleet!!!
Lyrics: I’ve seen many people
There are so many people
Some are much younger people
And some are so old
I’ve seen many places
There are so many places
And where are the people going
Will they choose the road...
I’ve packed my bags, and
I’ve got my freedom
I’ve sacked the rules, so
I don’t have to heed them
I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one
I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden
I have but a lifetime
Seems so long but it flies by
And in the moments passing
I’ll bear with no load
I have yet to wander
Many miles far yonder
And with so much left to ponder
I choose the road...
I’ve packed my bags, and
I’ve got my freedom
I’ve sacked the rules, so
I don’t have to heed them
I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one
I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden
I’ve packed my bags, and
I’ve got my freedom
I’ve sacked the rules, so
I don’t have to heed them
I’ll bet on a chance, If I’ve just got one
I’ll throw out the plans, and live with no burden
They're in the description too
♡
It feels like this is their first music after a 40 year absence but it’s not. It’s kids playing their music that makes you feel like you time traveled back to the 70s. This is what the world needs right now.
Hell yes! Finally!! Thank you guys for always rocking!
I can’t stop listening to this song. It’s so positive and up beat. It’s exactly what we needed right now.
The best song of rock in this year, yeah!
It’s good! But not the best in my opinion. Have you heard Silverspoon by teenagewrist?
And AC/DC?
First albums I bought by these guys and every song could have been a hit. I'm just glad somebody brought rock n roll back. THANKS GUYS
I’ll never forget the day I saw these guys in our home state of Michigan❤️
perfect road trip song🥺✨
Badass summer vibes
This is what Frodo and Sam were really singing on their way to Mordor.
You don't deserve a beer
You deserve the whole barrel just for that joke my dude
This is savage
ive always thought that when they hear the elves singing in the forest they're singing battle of evermore
This... This is how it's done
@@EriCLion-rt7sz bruh but how hes going to drink the whole barrel just by himself
i’m 15 and i was raised on 40-80s music and i love that i live at the same time as gvf😽
