You also give this mask to the little kid in Kakariko Village. When you play the game and go to the house near the entrance of Death Mountain, the child's mother will talk to you and say that her son is either playing in the graveyard or is asleep. You give him the Spooky Mask... I always wondered what happened to him and I have a theory as to why his house got turned into the Bazaar after you come back as adult Link. What if you gave the child a death sentence? Every single time you see him, he's wearing the mask. It could've been slowly draining his life and one day the child could have died and that's when the mother decided to move away or maybe she died from heart break.
I remember when I was a kid I would always look around to see if I could find the kid because I thought I was supposed to meet him again some time as an adult. I always kind of assumed he had died, but if you asked me why I couldn't have told you.
it is true, some people have thought that maybe he is actually a really powerful individual. I mean even just the speeds he moves at casually are faster than we can see. Something to think about! Cheers!
_ _ That is a good theory, does it also glow when you give it to the kid as part of the mask trading sequence? I don't remember him mentioning this in the video
Theory: Dampe is much older than he lets on and vastly more powerful than a lot of other people in Hyrule. He's a Shiekah who grew up learning about various prophecies and was tasked with caring for the catacombs, which is why he dutifully does his job as a grave keeper. He's the only ghost in the game that keeps his original form after death and is found haunting the halls of the graveyard catacombs. Not to mention that the shadow temple, which would be easily accessible by Shiekah, is located at the back of the graveyard. He's probably much more important to that period of time in Hylian history than the lore gives him credit for. This would explain why the wooden chests located underground are in such good condition when you find them.
@@PeakCFW Though Sheik also isn't Sheikah and Impa is a woman with a fairly thin build. There are multiple examples of Sheikah with non-thin builds in Zelda (Yuga being a major example, or other versions of Impa for that matter). The major differences between them and hylians are cultural rather than physical. And Dampe's usage of magic to stay conscious after death actually adds to this theory.
One of the things you forgot to mention is the fact that redeads appear in castle town after Gannondorf's take over. I think this is significant because this is the only place redeads appear outside of kakariko village and considering there aren't any graveyards near by and redeads don't move much it's unlikely the mask were used as any sort of protection or torture in the afterlife or redeads would only appear in places where the dead are buried (unless Gannon took the time to import them). I think it's far more likely the mask were used to reanimate the dead and anyone unable to escape when Gannondorf took over hyrule castle were killed and brought back by the mask to be used. Although it is likely that the mask were primarily used by the shiekah to create mindless sentinels to discourage people from getting too nosey, Gannondorf's use of black magic would easily allow him to do the same. The fact that the mask doesn't affect link is evidence that it only works on the dead. The dying off of the shiekah and their clearly common use of the mask means it's very likely that there were extras and the happy mask salesman got his hands on one. Also Dampe is either a shiekah or worked very closely with them as he clearly knows whay the mask are and what they're used for, possibly even making them himself as he would've been the one who had to dig up the coffins they're made from.
I actually have another theory coming out very soon as a followup to this one, and while it is very much so speculation... it covers the idea that the ReDead may be a sort of disposable army! I think you would enjoy that when it comes out tomorrow :) Welcome to the channel Darius Patrick, glad to have ya!
I think the happy mask salesman has a genuine passion for masks. Specifically, collecting them and learning their cultural significance. If you show him any mask in MM, he'll comment on it's origin and meaning. I don't think he was going to sell Majora's Mask to anyone ever. I think he stumbled upon information about it while researching other masks, and wanted to make sure it didn't fall into the hands of someone unsuspecting like skullkid, or worse, was found by someone who knew what it was and wanted to use it. Of course, that backfired... but someone would've found eventually if HMS could. It was only a matter of time. Worst case, maybe he was mostly fascinated by it since it's ancient, unique, and powerful. But I think he was smart enough not to sell it.
a fair point! I tend to assume that most of the negative things in Hyrule's history involve the civil war... but there are some very loose ideas that hint that there may have been an ancient holy war at some point the ReDead could be a by-product of that? Good thoughts, welcome to the channel, glad to have ya Mr. Grey!
I always appreciate your editing on videos, showing us your research/gameplay while throwing in bits of footage you want to show in the moment. It’s unique, it helps move the video along, very enjoyable!
ironically my gameplay is probably what I get the most criticism for, as it can be pretty random sometimes :P still glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out Trevor Landreth, welcome to the channel!
The Spooky Mask seems to glow on Link as if it is the “light” of his life that glows bright like his future while the ReDead’s mask is dark like it has no light to shine with since he is dead with no spark of life within. I also like to point out how you said that the masks may have been created to keep the dying alive past death as a means of torture and would like to connect with another theory about Bongo Bongo, to which it was mentioned that it may be an executed Sheikah who betrayed the royal family... Maybe he wasn’t the only one?
I like the idea that it kind of reflects the individuals remaining life-force. Maybe he was the leader of a rebellion and his followers were sentenced to be bound in clay with masks made from his ( Bongo Bongo's) coffin as punishment? His evil powers, assuming he was a powerful individual, could have corrupted their bodies turning them into ReDeads? Good thoughts, welcome to the channel LightRaider96!
It could be, I haven't really heard many people outright say it though. I always just kind of thought about him as termina's equivalent to happy Mask Salesman. Welcome to the channel!
I think it has to be. In the flashback scene from Majora's Mask that shows Skull Kid ambushing the Happy Mask Salesman and stealing the mask, they are clearly in the same area of the Lost Woods that Link gets attacked in at the start of the game. Which we know is still in Hyrule (or at least the same world as Hyrule if not within its borders), because Link only goes through the portal to Termina after getting attacked.
It’s less interesting, but a wooden mask like that wouldn’t be hard to make. Maybe the mask salesman knows the dark purpose of the mask and sells it as authentic to generate mystery. He is a salesman after all.
There is coffins in I believe in the bottom of the well..Gibdos come out of some and in one you find a key. But there stone coffins that you push open.
You did see the Happy Mask Salesman all out grabbing and shaking a child Link in Majora's mask? That dude's face was scary as heck! Clearly hes evil! Or at least... Chaotic
I know Bongo Bongo's soul was sealed in the well but what about the masks being made from his coffin? Separating the body and the soul seems like a thing that would happen in Hyrule.
I could see BB being the individual whos coffin they would use. Someone mentioned that maybe the ReDead were Shiekah that committed treason, maybe he was their leader and they used his coffin to effectively torture his followers with his own evil powers? lol so much new head canon! Welcome to the channel!
I don`t know if you knew this, but apparently Dampé was implying he knew what coffin the mask was from. Now IDK how true that is but it makes sense, he`s a grave keeper. (I don`t wanna be THAT guy, but if you`d like to know how to pronounce his name it`s ``Dom-pay`` assuming it`s of french origin )
people really seem to like the idea that these masks were made form a specific individuals coffin. I just thought I was making crazy ideas, but people really seem to have stuck to that idea. I like the idea that he knows which coffin the mask is from!
In the french version, the biologist never talk about a coffin ... I remember a NPC mentionning that those mask were used during burials. Yes, the major party of the deads from the Era of Chaos and more were buried in a pauper's grave. But, there how I think traditional burials work in Hyrule. To prevent the skeleton never becoming a Stalfos, the corspe was cover by Clay, and because the face of the dead would be scary, a Wooden Mask was put on him, and the whole thing wrapped into bandagdes and put into a stone tomb, burried in the dirt, in front of a stone tomb. Rich people have underground mausoleum like we can find Under tombs in ocarina of Time. Gibdos came from stone tombs in Ocarina of Time, and if we burn them, there is a Redead Inside the badagdes. I think, Redeads are Gibdos without a Tomb to rest, their badagdes were all wet and fall apart. They are no more than empty corspe hungry for Life. Just burn the corspe, dammit !
I've got a feeling that the mask's have a special type of power to make it so that you can't take it off. link can because he only wears it for a while, but the kid would probably wear it day and night. since it looks like there are very small holes so he cannot eat or drink, thus his death or maybe the masks would suck out all key parts of eating with appetite and of course rotting that is why the redeads look like they are hungry and not really rotted
also I have an idea for a video. if zelda or impa weren't alive what would happen? would the kingdom be destroyed and if link does become an adult then who would help him with everything?
3:21 is my favorite part because why not put computers in front of the undead? It just makes them less spooky and slightly cute but not really. Nice editing on that part lmao XD
I'd love to see someone tackle the lore and mysteries behind the Oceanside Spider House. I never see many videos exploring the secrets and mysteries of that place and it'd be nice to watch a video dedicated to it.
good discussion! It makes sense as they do have the wraps we associate with the Gibdo. Still makes me wonder why they are so different than the other Gibdo.
I think the only two characters that are the same between OoT and MM (aside from Link) are the Happy Mask Salesman and Skull Kid, and that the HMS is Sheikah. On the ending cutscene, Skullkid mentions that Link has the same smell as the fairy boy that taught him that song in the forest, which plays right after the credits. I also moreso believe Skullkid was the friend Link was looking for, rather than Navi, as she was sealed with the Master Sword.
Navi was in the Room with the Master Sword when the Door of Time closed. Unless that window had no glass or she somehow broke said glass, she was sealed in the Room.
I would be interested in finding out- after looking into it, luckily the debug rom I am using is save stated at just the perfect time, he just says the same thing... lame... but it could be my version as well maybe?
Another awesome theory. My take on the Mask Salesman is that he doesn't care about money at all, and is a weird magic-sensitive or outright magical being, traveling between lands, and giving masks to those they... "fit." He clearly has and bequeaths magic masks to those he does with just a shitty little grin. He may have known all along Link was a child of destiny, and that the Sheikah mask was for Link's quest, but made Link hand out some other masks to those in Hyrule he knew needed them. Maybe he wanted an errand boy, maybe he's restricted in outright handing them out himself, as some kind of divine limit or something. This doesn't mean he's benevolent by any means; clearly he can exhibit rage at failure (both games), and who knows how magical beings "think," or what his motivation is. Maybe some masks are sinister, like the Redead mask, but since the child desired it, he gave it, being an alter-human or spirit who doesn't care about age or moralistic implication, essentially handing out rings of power to whoever's dumb enough to ask for one, regardless of the person's ignorance to the consequences. I think he's just one of the many powerful beings in the background of Hyrule (and other realms), and if one crosses his wandering path in the course of one's quest, it is some form of destiny, and one should be extremely careful what kind of bargain is struck with him.
There are also a lot of ideas floating around that he just really likes masks that have cultural significance, not as fun, but it would explain why he would want Majora's Mask in a less evil way. Cheers!
newbornkilik I've been following you for a bit now. You've got stone great content! I really look forward to all your theory videos. This one was awesome and creepy I loved it!
One theory I heard about the spooky mask that I like is that it's a traditional burial mask. That's why it's so unsettling to people, and also why the prisoners of war in the Shadow Temple didn't have them. They're criminal/rebel scum, why should they get a proper burial?
Tbh i doubt the happy mask salesman is just selling it for a quick buck the guy seem to have alot of knowledge about those masks and he's probably sitting in hyrule on OoT for a specific reason he has no counterpart in termina he has the same identity which could mean he is the only charachter with link that are identical to the ones we see in OoT (for example he knows what majora's mask is capable of ) just selling masks for the sake of passion hardly make sense to me haha. great vid btw
Good thoughts! I really would like to see his lore expanded further! Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out Bryan Park, welcome to the channel!
I agree, MM was a very rushed game. It is still fun to think how it could fit in to the Zelda lore in New ways. Lol at least it isn't the Link is dead theory. Welcome to the channel, cheers!
The Happy Mask Salesman likely would have never sold Majora's Mask, and he most definitely knew of its power. He knows its history. While he is at first glad that you've recovered it, he seems somewhat disappointed that it was returned without its power.
The mask of the screaming face he has in majora's mask is on the mirror shield. Maybe he has link's screaming face as a mask. No one really talks about the new masks you see on his pack. Perhaps he himself is stealing faces as masks. The smile he has can be seen as one who is posessed.
im just wondering like what kind of powers he has, hes purple so they might lead to dark majic or shieka stuff, he had majoras mask i wonder what other masks has crazy powers (and we should get to use a mario mask) i feel like he travels to any nintendo universe then and has crazy powers. majora turned link into a deku scrub like majin buu turns people into candy thats really powerful. but he has the power to undo the effect and use it as an ability on and off at least for link to use. but i guess if you arnt something else to begin with maybe he cant turn you into your own mask. idk. majora turned i think the one guy into a partial mummy with a curse if im not correct. if they have majic like that then maybe they can turn people into redeads, but that would mean the effect can be undone. i wonder why he has a shop. just for money? or jumping to conclusions testing mask power/popularity for the best masks?
What if the ReDead are Sheikah that betrayed the Royal Family? The Royal Family would definitely feel they have a reason to punish the 'traitors' and the Sheikah still loyal to them would see it as a breach of their oaths. So it would make sense that both parties would come to some kind of agreement of how the rogue Sheikah should be punished. It might not have been what the Spooky Mask was originally designed for, but was adapted to fit the need. The Sheikah have a history of magical masks that hold some dark and disturbing powers, so the Spooky Mask seems right up their alley. What if it functions like Dark World magic, like in A Link to the Past? When people come into contact with the Dark World they transform into monsters, but can still retain their sentience and personality. Wonder if the same can be said about the ReDead, only their ability to speak has been removed and can only scream and moan. They do tend to mourn the death of one of their own and if they have been through what's being implied it's not surprising that they will attack anyone on sight. As to the construction of the mask, maybe the planks were taken from coffins from innocent victims of the attacks carried out by the rebellious Sheikah. People who had no part of the conflict, that didn't take up arms against them, that had their lives taken before they could make peace. Could they be bound to the mask in some way as to torment the person wearing it? Now all this has me wondering if the rebel Sheikah found some way to weaponize this magic. Turning the fallen soldiers into Stalchildren and started creating Bongo Bongo as their super weapon. The Stalchildren all wear a cingulum militare (The armored loincloth) which takes it's inspiration from the ancient Roman military, so it's safe to assume they were soldiers. And in Majora's Mask Tatl comments "It's a Stalchild. They were they cursed soldiers of Ikana... What are you gonna do?". Different soldiers, but a parallel can be drawn between the two. The Happy Mask Salesman. Where to start. He's creepy, and it feels like he's hiding behind his smile like it's a mask. He has intimate knowledge of Sheikah masks and the magic they contain. My guess is that he is a Sheikah, perhaps even the creator of these items. Like the Spooky Mask or the Mask of Truth. Maybe even the Bunny Hood, considering it stops the Stalchildren from attacking. There's also a good chance Majora's Mask is related to the Sheikah, but even if it isn't he could be trying to reverse engineer it somehow. The fact he gets so furious when you don't have it for him is shocking, and he drops the smile in favor of a look of pure malice. I would not be surprised if he was playing Link the entire time, let alone all of Hyrule. Might be a long stretch but the Happy Mask Salesman could the Ghost Hunter in the adult timeline (Which doesn't conflict with Majora's Mask because of the separation in timelines) which would explain how Hyrule Castle Town is full of ReDead. He might even be the 'Man who can see the truth' given just how much he knows. He even teaches Link the Song of Healing, which turns spirits into transformation masks. Is the Happy Mask Salesman just a mask? A mask he no longer needed when Ganondorf conquered Hyrule? Should also bring up the fact there's two ReDead in a hidden grotto in the middle of Kakariko Village. Always wondered why they were there. They seem to be guarding the treasure down there. So are they just guard dogs or did someone hide them down there? Were they friends or family that ended up on opposite sides of the fighting, or were they people someone held a grudge against? My apologies for making this so long. One thought lead to another. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a nice day! :D
Oh man what if the spooky masks were like a secret item that only members of some kind of cult were given, so that when Hyrule fell they would be reborn as redeads?
What if there were so many dead during the civil war that Hyrule had to stop making stone sarcophagi to place them into vaults and switch to wood coffins and burial to save time... and the redeads break out of their own coffins after burial and bring a piece of it with them? That could explain why we don’t see wooden coffins- they are still buried in places we don’t go because we are mostly in crypts.
@@newbornkilik how long are we gonna let people like you torture and kill these innocent fishies? nah but really i like your channel and hope they have another zelda game where the happy mask salesman appears heavily in.
Some people claim that the goddess of the sand is evil. What proof do you have that the goddess of the sand is "evil" or another interpretation of Hylia (also it's goddess of the sand, not goddess of the sands, they need to get your facts straight)? They have no evidence that the goddess of the sand is "evil" or that she is a different interpretation of Hylia because there are many different religions and "deities" in Zelda's world, world of which Hyrule is just a very small part because there are countless other continents/neighboring countries, like Holodrum and Labrynna for example, and even the real life version of Koholint created by Windfish deity and that we see a dream version of in Link's Awakening, since we can see it in BOTW (Koholit Island, Mabe Village Ruins, Toronbo Beach)*. Also some people (especially the races/lands that have been violently conquered and oppressed by the Hylians and their royal family and then subjected to a forced global monarchy) would argue that the three goddesses of Hyrule are the "evil" ones. The Hylians, and especially their royal family, have been demonizing other races' religions and cultures and desecrating/taking over their temples for a long time now (that's why you find the crest of the royal family above the entrance of the Gerudo temple in OOT and TP, and all over the place in the Gerudo temple in TP, not to mention the crest of the royal family of Hyrule on the boat in the Shadow Temple where a rebel Sheikah turned Shadow Beast who could see the truth and who was executed in an attempt to silence him and who was imprisoned in the bottom of the well because the miror of Twilight probably didn't exist at that time yet is exposing the atrocities perpetrated by the royal family of Hyrule like torture and beheadings with guillotines and all the dead in there turned restless undead because of their horrific and traumatic death at the hands of the royal family of Hyrule, Bongo-Bongo wanted to expose the royal family of Hyrule and their atrocities and that's why he went straight to the Shadow Temple after breaking free instead of wrecking havoc all over Hyrule which he would have done if he had been really "evil"). The Hylians and their royal family had this racial and religious superiority complex, anyone who didn't think or believe like they did were demonized, hunted down and killed. The Hylians have committed some pretty fucked up, horrendous crimes against the other races of their world. Those who didn't practice or support the religion and culture of the Hylian crown who imposed a forced global monarchy were wipped out, same with those who demanded self-ownership and self-government and equality for all the races of Hyrule. You can't blame the Gerudo, the Sheikah, the Twili and their ancestors, etc, for fighting back against the Hylian Authoritarian Dictator royal family of Hyrule and their forced global monarchy. Folks, you can't call them "evil" for doing that. Were the American people "evil" for fighting against British monarchy and demanding their independence, the right to self-ownership and self-government? Were they "evil" for wanting independence and freedom, and for choosing democracy over monarchy? I don't think so. You can't just say that oppressed people should just lay down and take it or else they're just "evil people/neighbors". People need to get that. *The Wind Fish deity is real as we can see at the end of Link's Awakening, and its possible that Koholint do exist even if it isn't the exact same one as the dream. If the three "goddesses" can create a continent like Hyrule, then the Wind fish deity can create a Koholint even if the real one is slightly different from the dream version seen in Link's Awakening. There's also the possibility that when Link got back to Hyrule and told stories from his adventures (since he might have been one of the few people of Hyrule who saw the dream version of Koholint, I'd guess), and the stories became legends (I believe that other Links do this too hence all the Zelda games being Legends) and people named the village, island and beach after the legends, hence why some other locations are called unrelated place names all across Hyrule. See this discussion in this videos (18:40 - 24:45, especially 22:50 - 24:45): th-cam.com/video/_BGBNeiVJVM/w-d-xo.html
Fun fact the hero's shade is actually supposed to be the Link from OOT and Majora's Mask. There is time travel involved, so who knows what kind of crazy stuff is possible! Welcome to the channel Keith!
You think the Happy mask shop is related to the MAN who can see the Truth. The mask of Truth he has and it can talk to the Shiek objects like the eye stones (forogt their called)
The Keese mask repels keese. Have you tried to walk close to a redead? I never tried to interact with the redead because they were so scary. What about Dead Hands? There must be a use for it in dungeons.

True, there are masks used in some cultures for many different purposes. Kind of makes you wonder what Nintendo took for inspiration sometimes! Welcome to the channel, cheers!
in kokiri forest a kokiri girl says the spooky mask looks like you have a shield on your face and in majoras mask the mirrors shield is the spooky mask lol
The idea of redeads being made if clay might not be a cover up fir zombies in an E rated game. I had a friend named Eric who was jewish, he tild me the in the hebrew religion they have "zombies" called Golems, artificial creatures made if clay
They do seem more E for everyone if they are made of clay :P OOT specifically has come under some fire for certain religious symbology in the past, maybe this is one that they caught early on or tried to cover up. Good thoughts, welcome to the channel Giirbot Gamingz!
Newbornkilik, Holy fuck, man. Your spooky mask theory is so fucking dark it makes feel nauseous. I knew the royal family of Hyrule was evil and fucked up, but wow turning people into undead/zombies to guard their grave and to put prisoners of wars through cruel and unusual punishment even in their afterlife until their undead bodies are detroyed with fire or a magic sword (so Link is pretty much unknowingly setting the souls free when he destroyed the bodies of the redeads with fire or magic sword, and he's still very much ignorant of the evil things the royal family is doing to countless people of other races and religions or he became some kind of sheep just blindly following orders from Zelda and the royal family, no questions asked and brainwashed into never thinking for himself). The royal family of Hyrule is fucked in the head.
Michelle D. The royal family isn't evil ! >:-( Ganondorf did the Sheikah Genocide. All Sheikah were good until the Yiga. Bongo Bongo is the guardian of the Gate to the other world. The man who can see the truth was just the inventor of the Lens of truth. The Twili have nothing to do with the Sheikah. Same for the Ancient one of Termina. The Civil War wasn't this bloody, compared to the Era of Chaos, the Shadow Temple is about the Era of Chaos. I theorised than the King in OOT is none other than ... the Lion King himself ! Proof ? His deep connection with Ganondorf and how we don't know a fuck about him in OOT exept his existence.
lol it is all speculation, admittedly I do have a tendency to assume the worst out of the Royal Family, for some reason, they could be good? But my head canon is that they are not XD Cheers!
You also give this mask to the little kid in Kakariko Village. When you play the game and go to the house near the entrance of Death Mountain, the child's mother will talk to you and say that her son is either playing in the graveyard or is asleep. I tend to assume that most of the negative things in Hyrule's history involve the civil war... but there are some very loose ideas that hint that there may have been an ancient holy war at some point the ReDead could be a by-product of that? Good thoughts, welcome to the channel, glad to have ya Mr. Grey!
Actually wooden remains can be found in ancient tombs quite often...
Good thoughts, welcome to the channel LightRaider96!
when your hunt for secrets brings you to drop a fish in front of the master sword
I MUST FIND THE SECRETS
Master fishermen use master- uh
Divine bait.
I thought it was common knowledge that the happy mask guy is the same exact one from oot
Yeah and he tells link that he followed him to termina so they must be the same person
Yeah, I was under the impression that Skull Kid, You, and the Happy Mask Salesman are the same from OOT.
@@ailisroman2451 Same. They 100% have to be otherwise it wouldn't make sense to me and I see no reason why they shouldn't be the same.
It’s less interesting, but a wooden mask like that wouldn’t be hard to make. Maybe the mask salesman knows the dark purpose of the mask and sells it as authentic to generate mystery. He is a salesman after all.
I like the idea that it might be a fake, it might be that he added the glow to make it seem magical?
That salesman is the true villain of the zelda series. Ganon's power pales in comparison to the owner of the masks!
lol depending on how many magical masks he has access to, you might be right!
There is coffins in I believe in the bottom of the well..Gibdos come out of some and in one you find a key. But there stone coffins that you push open.
I thought that was the Shadow Temple, though I could be wrong :) welcome to the channel!
You did see the Happy Mask Salesman all out grabbing and shaking a child Link in Majora's mask? That dude's face was scary as heck! Clearly hes evil! Or at least... Chaotic
True, chaotic at best... I would really like to know his motives. Welcome to the channel Contra 502, glad to have ya!
Dampé ? It's not french since I am one, maybe Italian ?
people really seem to like the idea that these masks were made form a specific individuals coffin. I just thought I was making crazy ideas, but people really seem to have stuck to that idea. I like the idea that he knows which coffin the mask is from!
I always thought that the happy mask salesman was the person in ocarina of time
There is one in both games, he's just more prominent in Majora's Mask.
In the french version, the biologist never talk about a coffin ...
I remember a NPC mentionning that those mask were used during burials.
Yes,
the major party of the deads from the Era of Chaos and more were buried in a pauper's grave.
Just burn the corspe, dammit !
that is a really solid theory, would you mind if I used that in a video at some point? Would make a really good mini theory, with credit of course.
Thank !
Yes, I would be glad if you do it.
Take my ideas !
Cheers!
I love your theories and I'm really enjoying your voice. Keep it up, I need more of this .. good stuff.
Honored! XD Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out Dunja Sa, welcome to the channel!
I love how people still make theories about old games like Ocarina of Time
Love it ✌✌❤
Cheers, there are plenty more here on the channel. Welcome!
A good look into it for sure! Good thoughts, welcome to the channel, glad to have ya noah!
newbornkilik thank you I like on how you always tell what you think about the commenters theories(unlike other youtubes) so yeah thank you
also I have an idea for a video. if zelda or impa weren't alive what would happen? would the kingdom be destroyed and if link does become an adult then who would help him with everything?
I had to sub. You love zelda as much as me and I think that deserves a new follower. Keep rocking, dude
glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out Drewbie UnderFire, welcome to the channel!
those redead knights in TP were called Gibdos in the japanese version.
I think it would be an interesting place to take a look at! Welcome to the channel, glad to have ya OtterloopB!
8:52 0_0 wth.....
"You have some good quality wood there, kid!"
i never noticed the double entandre... loll
lol I didn't even put that together! XD
shit my minds not pure
The ReDead in Twilight Princess are actually Gibdo, not only in design but also in the original Japanese version of the game!
Gaigaborn yes, in English, but that's irrelevant: they are ギブド (Gibudo), Gibdo. Not ReDead at all.
good discussion! It makes sense as they do have the wraps we associate with the Gibdo. Still makes me wonder why they are so different than the other Gibdo.
newbornkilik more realistic, just like the rest of the stylization used in Twilight Princess. 😁
It also aligns with Hyrule Warriors where the Gibdos are based on that game but the game also has ReDead Knights
I forgot all about Skull Kid's dialogue saying how Link smelled, thanks for bringing that up!
But she flew away rather than been sealed with the sword unlike fi
Navi was in the Room with the Master Sword when the Door of Time closed.
Unless that window had no glass or she somehow broke said glass, she was sealed in the Room.
did u try speaking to the soldier that dies while wearing that mask?
Gaigaborn you misunderstood the question. Kevin asked if Newbornkilik had spoke to the dying soldier while he (Link) wore the Spooky Mask.
Mudora is right, now I see I could have phrased it better
I would be interested in finding out-
after looking into it, luckily the debug rom I am using is save stated at just the perfect time, he just says the same thing... lame... but it could be my version as well maybe?
Cheers!
stupid theory: the guard in oot that blocks the gate to death mountain is a korok.
well his dialog is "wah-ha-ha! hows business mr. hero? wah-ha-ha!"
3:21 Well, that's one way to make Redeads not as freaky.
lol the more you know
What song did you use at the beginning of your video?
Man I love the Zelda series.
they are awesome! Thanks for checking it out Jxudo, welcome to the channel! Cheers!
newbornkilik I've been following you for a bit now.
Two theories in one video?! NBK you spoil us!! :D
sure thing! lol it fit in well, I felt like making it a separate video would just make watching this video more difficult :P
newbornkilik this is true lol thanks NBK!!
The Happy mask salesman is the master mirror from The Witcher
I hear great things about that game, but have never played it :/ Anyway, Welcome to the channel Manuel Mejia, glad to have ya!
@@newbornkilik it is a great game, its my second favorite game of all time(Zelda is #1❤) and thanks love your content!
They re-used models in Majora's Mask due to time constraints. So there being versions of characters in each game doesn't always mean much.
I agree, MM was a very rushed game. It is still fun to think how it could fit in to the Zelda lore in New ways. Lol at least it isn't the Link is dead theory. Welcome to the channel, cheers!
Love these videos! Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out PhightMe, welcome to the channel! Cheers!
"Everyone's favorite nightmare fuel" loooool.
HMS still genuinely creeps me out years later as a thirty year old adult.
he is hiding something for sure! I would really like some more information on him truth be told
The Happy Mask Salesman likely would have never sold Majora's Mask, and he most definitely knew of its power. He knows its history. While he is at first glad that you've recovered it, he seems somewhat disappointed that it was returned without its power.
hmm... that is true. Maybe he wanted to use it for something? Good thoughts, welcome to the channel Sara Ross!
10:38 i want that statue too
The mask of the screaming face he has in majora's mask is on the mirror shield. Maybe he has link's screaming face as a mask. No one really talks about the new masks you see on his pack. Perhaps he himself is stealing faces as masks. The smile he has can be seen as one who is posessed.
I like the idea of him stealing faces for masks... lol bummer he had to take Mario's face XD
im just wondering like what kind of powers he has, hes purple so they might lead to dark majic or shieka stuff, he had majoras mask i wonder what other masks has crazy powers (and we should get to use a mario mask) i feel like he travels to any nintendo universe then and has crazy powers. majora turned link into a deku scrub like majin buu turns people into candy thats really powerful. but he has the power to undo the effect and use it as an ability on and off at least for link to use. but i guess if you arnt something else to begin with maybe he cant turn you into your own mask. idk. majora turned i think the one guy into a partial mummy with a curse if im not correct. if they have majic like that then maybe they can turn people into redeads, but that would mean the effect can be undone. i wonder why he has a shop. just for money? or jumping to conclusions testing mask power/popularity for the best masks?
I am quite interested in the idea that you could reverse the ReDead effects with powerful enough magic! Good thoughts, welcome to the channel!
lol when ancient magic is at play ANYTHING is possible! Cheers, have a good day yourself!
The reDead are also capable of browsing the internet and finding my internet history....
This is the spookiest part... They know!
The happy mask salesman has a mario mask and I think Mario is link who bought the mask and is now doomed to be Mario forever
the secret fourth timeline! lol actually it is a pretty fun idea. Welcome to the channel Stopmotionz At large, glad to have ya!
I’ve had to rewind so many times
So redeads all wear this mask .... *drops fish near mastersword*.
Me: well this is relevant footage lol
lol gameplay is the cornerstone of a video after all XD
@@newbornkilik how long are we gonna let people like you torture and kill these innocent fishies? nah but really i like your channel and hope they have another zelda game where the happy mask salesman appears heavily in.

what if the redead just wear part of their own coffin on their faces? aren't redeads from the hyrule cyvil war? they might've used wooden coffins then
They very well could have I like the idea welcome to the channel!

It's just a burial mask, gosh...
lol but that answer is no fun! XD we have to over analyze and draw wild conclusions! Welcome to the channel!
Could the masks be made from the heroes shade's coffin?
Fun fact the hero's shade is actually supposed to be the Link from OOT and Majora's Mask. There is time travel involved, so who knows what kind of crazy stuff is possible! Welcome to the channel Keith!
This could explain what happened to the kid in the graveyard in OOT
I enjoyed it also do one for majors mask and ocarina of time combined
Could be fun to look at, cheers!
Dang! I just realizrd how much there shoud've been redeads in BOTW with an entire subplot/side quest.
kind of makes you wonder why there are none in the game. It has been a while since we have seen them in a game TBH. Welcome to the channel!

A dead redead is called a reredead
A redeaddead? Lol
i like this guy, he thinks dark...
Lol it is apparently a trend in these videos.
Newbornkilik,
Holy fuck, man.
Ganondorf did the Sheikah Genocide.
But my head canon is that they are not XD Cheers!
it would be nice to have a face to put with the mysterious king in Oot!
