Went a second time with a buddy who had his Ford Ranger Tremor…
Let me just say this truck is in a whole other class than the Ranger. ZR2 took climbs in 4 HI no lockers easily that the Ranger was struggling to do in 4 LO with rear lockers.
Video doesn’t do it justice, but this little cut was tougher than it looked (to a beginner like myself). More than confident now on this trucks ability to conquer more difficult trails moving forward!

I am a Gladiator owner and I'm seriously looking at the ZR2. My off roading is a little more demanding than this, but all the tech and performance of these has me on notice for sure. I put the looks on par with the Tacoma (New one)

@@themouas oh! So far I’m impressed with the performance. Have had some random issues with it- passenger keyless entry button wasn’t plugged in all the way inside door and rear view camera had to get replaced :/
The Tacoma is a better offroader. It has a much more powerful v6
I’m down to go do a showdown of Taco vs the R2. I am curious. Stats wise would say this new ZR2 is more powerful…
The current Tacoma V6 is one of the slowest most boring engines I’ve ever driven. The Zr2 has over 400lbft of torque. It’s way more powerful. We will see what the new Tacoma will bring.

Tacoma V6 = 278 H.P.
Colorado I4 = 310 H.P.
So where is the Tacoma more powerful?

It’s always funny when people like you post stuff like this, as if anyone cares lol. I’m not a big Chevy guy. I just like the way these trucks look so I bought one. Everyone around me has Tacomas so that influenced me as well.

Curious, tell me what you mean by lawn mower engine? I’m guessing small is what you mean? The few times I’ve taken it offroading with my buddies of other vehicles with v8’s and mostly v6’s, it’s far outperformed all of them lol. Of course the v8 didn’t have the articulation that this does so that didn’t help. But other buddies with tacos, rangers and a frontier, it outperformed all of them (all of us stock too).

The Plus 390 ftlb tune runs at 20psi boost and the HO 430 ftlb tune runs at 27psi boost so you may here more turbo sound on the HO @@aarong6616

Still not worth an extra 20K over the 22s.
