Nice, very nice, thanks Tim
You’re welcome, and thank you!
I've been searching for days to find this cheers 🍻
Cheers! Glad you found it!
Bro, I can´t thank you enough. I´ve trying to figure out this crop thing for almost two Years. I´ve heard about using the crop filter and not the crop transform (with alt key) but nobody told that the crop filter should be above the shader filter. Thank you!!
Amazing! Glad this helped!
thank you so much!
No problem!
Thank you so much , I have been searching for this for long, u just get a new subscriber
Amazing! Thank you and glad I could help!
If anyone is having an issue with the dynamic cropping, you need to remove your existing cam and re add it. Otherwise, it will not crop correctly and just cut into the rounded corners. Thanks Tim!
Thank you!
Wow!! Such a time saver...can't wait to start using it. Thanks for the video
Glad it can help! Thank you!

Thank you so much for share this!
You’re welcome! Glad you found it useful!
@@CameraTim I try to load it from file but I don't have options for shader available :(
I'm on M1 mac. When I load it, i get no UI. If I then check-off "use effect file" (even though it's a shader file) and then reload it, I get a black image, but the UI controls show up. Any way to make this work on mac?
@@DavidDavidko Hm, I've had similar issues to this before, but just to clarify so I'm certain:
Which version of OBS are you using?
Which version of Shaderfilter do you have?
What source are you applying it to and does that source happen to have a 10-bit color space?
@@CameraTim M1 Mac with 29.1.3 OBS and shader filter 2.1.2 I try FaceTime camera on Mac also iPhone webcam intro obs and gopro
I developed a program called EYE that lets you trigger OBS Sources directly with your game. That would be perfect to trigger different animated borders depending on the life status. So when you lose life, the border changes automatically.
I heard about the plugin. It sounds really intriguing. Definitely something I’d like to see nutty and Andilippi showcase!
@@CameraTim I Was wandering all the time, that you said you heard about it. Are you a Mod of Harris Heller?
@@flufflessedit Haha! Yes, you caught me.
@@CameraTim what a coincidance. 😻
@@flufflessedit Indeed! How did you find the video?
Duude what is the LUT you're using? Is there any chance you would share it?
The LUT I made for the OBS filter for this video was specifically for Fujifilm F-log. I could share it, but it would only work well with F-log. I made a couple other videos about doing color and saturation in OBS, and these will probably help you with the look you’re going for.
What webcam/camera are you using?
My Guy😊😊😊
☺️☺️☺️
Can we use this on other sources like a picture? I tried but it seems to hide the image
So because of how the filter works, it needs something that isn't an alpha channel to place the border onto, meaning there has to be some sort of RGB value for it to trace. So the easiest workaround for this is to place the image into it's own scene (without the filter), then add a Color Source underneath the image, and just make sure that color source is larger than the image (you can adjust as necessary). Then in your normal scene, add that scene where the image is as a source, and place the filter on there.
@@CameraTim thank you! Will try and report back
@@CameraTim works!!
@@malmins22 Sounds good! Just let me know!
@@malmins22 Awesome!
Hello! Tried using this method, but my facecam dissapears when the shader is visible.. Can you help me?
Is it disappearing when you apply the user-defined shader by itself, or after you select the rounded border shader and/or start moving the parameters?
When I apply the shader by itself
@@Kristineeidet So when you browse and add the .shader file and increase the border size, does it still show up black? And then what versions of OBS and Shaderfilter are you using?
Im using the same shaderfilter as you did in the video (cause I think it looks cool👍) and version of OBS im not sure about, but downloaded it not too long ago. The problem is that the picture (or facecam) does not turn black when I select user-defined shader, it just disappears! Thanks so much for helping btw!🫶
@@Kristineeidet So version-wise, if you're on any OBS version before 28, it won't work properly. The current iteration of Shaderfilter (version 2.2.1 at the time of writing this) only works on 28 and up. But when you load the shader filter, and check the "Load shader text from file box", leave Use Effect File unchecked, and select the shader, it should work just fine. If not, I might need to do more specific troubleshooting.
Does this work on streamlabs obs ?
No, Streamlabs doesn’t work with shaders.
@@CameraTim thanks for the quick answer!
