I think it’s great that DC seem to have fixed the binding and build issues on their omnis, and the art on the boards is also an improvement. Thanks Omar, a nice comparison with the first print!
I still flinch every time I look at my Geoff Johns' Green Lantern omnis, since volume 3 has the New 52 logo and 1/2 has the new one.
I completely understand. I'm OCD about my collection too. I feel your pain. Lol
I have the same thing with my 3 Preacher absolutes, where one of the is different. It hurts the soul.
If it helps, those volumes’ spines aren’t that great… you could get custom dust jackets to fix the issue!
@@serbiansauvage Same here but in my case, all 3 are different so I actually don’t mind. It’s like “DC”, “DC Vertigo”, and “Vertigo”. Kinda cool.
The art brings me back, i loved this series so much, it is very nostalgic for me, i was 19 at the time which was perfect for me

@@TravelsAndConversations the author of the manga “berserk” which is Omar’s favorite and mine as well sadly passed away suddenly so a lot of us thought it was over for good. But his assistants and team as well as his life long friend who the author told the ending and lots of story stuff to are going to continue the manga in his honor

So Dc is able to reprint a 1400 pages Omnibus with paper thick enough you don't see through, but Marvel can't do it on an 600 pages Omnibus ?

I’m pretty salty that it still doesn’t include the two issues by Gail Simone and Liefeld. I want everything, warts and all.
I picked my up yesterday at my local comic book shop. It is great. I missed out on it several years ago. Glad DC reprinted it.

I bought the original printing the day before a reprint was announced for 135 USD (technically under cover price) but damn, what a slap to the face lmao. Luckily I sold my original copy for like a 5 dollar profit and got the new printing for 80 USD from IST.

I’m really annoyed because I pre ordered my copy of teen titans Geoff johns omnibus and I’m still waiting on the damn thing because stupid usps. It shipped out from California and I live in Indianapolis, then like 3 days ago it’s up in pitspurg Pennsylvania, way out of the damn way. Then it finally leaves there and has been sitting it Cincinnati, Ohio for 48 hours, wtf it’s a rock throw away and it’s still not moving. I want my omnibus, been waiting to read this in omnibus format for years now. I hat the stupid ass post office

Whoa… so glad they updated the book casing to an image over the dreaded black paper. BUT kinda pisses me off too, since the Gotham Central reprint doesn’t have an image. Wtf….

These comparisons are awesome, I bought the old version 3 years ago and I'm happy with it, but the new wraparound cover looks great. Is it me or the new printing is a bit thicker? :)
It’s huge. Bigger than my y the last man Omni which is a similar page count. It’s most likely bigger than the old one

Considering the improvement in the build of DC omnis do you think they will do the same for the JSA? I can still get the three volumes but I can also wait. I seems like they are reprinting a lot of omnis so I wonder if these will be reprinted

I’d recommend The New Teen Titans first. To me, that’s the definitive version of the Titans. Even just picking out a few of the main story arcs like Terra Incognito and The Judas Contract would be a good introduction. The Judas Contract being regarded as one of the best story arcs from DC altogether. Plus, George Perez’s art is just too good not to take in.

The Beast Boy ( formerly known as Changeling ) Mini-Series, was published from Jan-2000 to April-2000. It was written by Geoff John’s and Ben Raab.
Penciled by Justiniano, and Inked by Chris Ivy.
Justiniano, was the pen name of Mr. Josue Rivera, Penciler and Inker.
On May 10, 2011, Justiniano under his birth name of Mr. Josue Rivera, was arrested on charges of first-degree possession of child pornography in connection with a July 2010 incident in which he allegedly gave a thumb drive containing child pornography to an employee of a funeral home by mistake.
On November 2, 2012, Justiniano pleaded guilty to second-degree possession of child pornography, and was sentenced to a 10-year suspended sentence. Justiniano, was sentenced and served three years in prison, followed by 10 years probation.

What are your opinions on that Omar? Because I get that some books are a product of their time but I personally would like to know so I can or cannot buy a book especially such an expensive one.

I’ll be honest I didn’t notice it. Perhaps they are talking about Starfire, but that happened more in Outsiders. I actually thought the sexualization of all the characters was tame and handled well. I’m really trying to think of what the rapey scene would be and I can’t for the life of me figure it out. I’m sorry I would hate to say it’s clear and then you find something that I didn’t.

Good build, less gutter loss than the original printing, thick paper, 99% consistent with the original design (okay, logo changed but do you want to compare it to Marvel's font size and everything else changed just for the sake of it? C'mon!). DC is doing reprints the right way and improving over sub-standard old releases. Marvel... well, I'm not buying their reprints anymore, nothing else to add.
One grip I have is cyborg look,to me it’s corny.
Isn’t a spoiler anymore the fact that Coner Kent dies by the hands of Superboy Prime and then he came back to life again and doesn’t have to became a black lantern during blackest night.
