    My dog got bit today and this video is just what we needed. I am not able to take him to the vet bc today is a holiday so I have to wait until tomorrow to finally see the vet. This has help my pup and I tremendously! Thank you for taking the time and effort to make such videos! I appreciate this more than you know! 🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜

    Thank you for this. It's helped me when my dog's ear bled at past midnight. Since we ran out of gauze, I cut a piece of clothe and used compression wrap instead. Thank you for this video.

    Thanks. This is very helpful for me to treat my dog ear wound. He got a small one from playing in a bit too much with his friends yesterday. Thanks much for the helpful demo.

    Thank you! It is such a difficult bandage to do on my dog by myself and haven’t done the anchoring behind the other ear. I can’t thank you enough because the tips of the ear bleed like a crime scene and it has seriously stressed me out and my Furbaby.

      You just described my kitchen perfectly. It looks exactly like a “crime scene”. There is blood everywhere from him shaking his head...blood spatter on the walls, fridge, oven shelves, floor, appliances and ceiling. I pray no one else ever have to see this mess.

      Oh yes! 🤣I have just renamed the pup.
      We call him Crime Scene.
      Feel like a CSI looking for blood-splatter patterns .

      My dog was getting better but she recently kept going so so hard that there’s a chunk of her ear it was literally spurting blood. I got it to stop and used liquid bandage but I put her head in a toddlers pajama leg, because I couldn’t get anything to stop her ear from flopping and hitting things

    Thanks for posting. My pup has a small wound at the tip of her (droopy) ear which tore further after running through some brush at the dog park. It’s been very challenging trying to treat this wound (before going to the vet) and this video helped tremendously!

      Hey this happened to my dog recently too,, his ear has two cuts leaving the middle flopping how did this change the healing of your pet, since everything is shut down I really need help with how to keep him infection free

    • @rheiweukreoh2643
      @rheiweukreoh2643 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, after I bandaged his ears exactly like how it's shown in the video, he felt asleep and I thought everything will be fine. After few hours he got up from his sleep and went all restless, probably because he is not used to with his ears pinned down like that. Though I tried to calm him down and keep away his paw from scratching it, he was stubborn. He ran outside and started rubbing it against the ground all over the grass, until it came off causing more bleeding. After that I didn't bandage it again. I let it be as it was. And I just applied turmeric powder (we call it Haldi), so that maggots won't grow on it. And of course it took some days to heal... and he got healed but his ears, you know ... still split... 🙃

      @_el_del_bajo5_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rheiweu Kreoh thanks, i guess I’ll just have to leave it be,, i don’t mind his ear being split as long as it don’t get infected,, again thanks so much

    • @_el_del_bajo5_
      @_el_del_bajo5_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mar Vzqq he’s doing fine he had a really nasty wound, but we let it heal naturally all i did was wash it every other day, and every day I’d put oxygen peroxide twice a day morning and night, put disinfecting spray, and we’d give him a flanax pill wit his food every twelve hours, along with 250 mg of amoxicillin, now he’s a medium sized dog so maybe you’ll have to give ur dog less medicine or none at all, but he’s fine now he got an ear infection from the other dogs saliva but he got shots for it and now he’s okay, he’s right ear is split in three flaps but he’s okay

    Idk if anyone would help, but my dog recently had cuts on each ear, should I put any Neosporin and bandage both ? I bout some pet lab treats to heal the yeast and it looks like it helped, and his ears would heal with a cone, but then again he would mess with it again. Any tips from anyone that help my dog ?? And he has been eating less and less everyday. I would take him to the vet but unfortunately I can’t afford to take him. This kind of started in March of last year, but it was just little cuts which I thought it would heal with hydrogen Peroxide and it did, but then it got worse. So if I bandage his ears they would get better?

    My dog has bled for two days straight and has lost a lot of blood. I can barely afford the tape for the dog😔 there’s so much blood I finally have it bandages but I feel like I have to leave it for a whole week at least. I had it with gauze for two days and as soon as I took bandage off slowly it was leaking bad

      A simple 1 or 2 inch gauze roll you can get at a drug store or Walmart.

    it took 30 minutes for my dog to free his eaer and start flapping them again, this triggered bleeding (the reason we went to the vet in the first place)

  • @jordanh51
    @jordanh51 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is not the accurate way to do this.. multiple layers are needed at least Bc if you have a normal acting dog and not a dog that sits there like this (which is extremely extremely rare) the dog will easily shake it off and blood will go everywhere. This video is half the job maybe.👎

      Not all dogs are the same. My pups have bad anxiety and need their ears bandaged and their feet wrapped otherwise they cause themselves extreme pain and bleeding after being groomed.

    • @matttotef3971
      @matttotef3971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure they heal, but also creates a mess all over your home. Spraying blood everywhere and getting it on the couch and carpet. I am doing this to my Dane because her ear got bit by my other puppy when they were playing and literally can’t stand cleaning blood from walls and carpeting and floors and sheets anymore.
      I have had dogs all my life and this method works with Neosporin on the wound, bandages and gauze wrap with gauze tape

      Your dogs ear is bleeding profusely, hey I’m not a Vet but I’ve owned a few dogs, don’t do nothing just let it bleed. What kind of logic is this, you should not be owning pets if this is how you think.
