sorry not sorry.. ISMFOF was a literal blip. Number 12 looks like you was objectively bigger at the time, horse was larger, alot of other weird kid scene bands were more impactful.
ISMFOF was MySpace royalty because of that Soulja boi cover, but the modern reality is that ISMFOF HAS over ten times the monthlies of number 12 as of today with a commanding lead in total streams. Not to put down number 12, there a good band, but they’re demonstrably less popular and look a hell of a lot better on paper when considering bands for such modern festivals. Calling them a blip doesn’t line up with reality here.

Yes, myspace cover woopty woop, but waking the cadaver wasn't the best 2000's deathmetal band because all the scene kids used it as their profile song. I'm glad they made the best of this situation: but they weren't the first, they weren't the last, and the broke up before fully capitalizing on the momentum.
@ it sure looks like they can sell it out now looking at videos of them playing there this year, and that’s what’s more relevant when a band is being considered for a festival, not when they couldn’t years ago during member transitions
@ it’s under 1k standing room only venue… the fact they were booked there last year says it all my dude. If anyone gave a shit, they’d have played a bigger venue. If that 818 in your name is where your from it’s literally smaller than midnight hour
@ as someone who’s been a touring musician internationally for over a decade, I’m well aware of the 250 cap at the chain reaction. Number 12 and Horse are/were great bands, but they didn’t have the mass appeal ISMFOF had, even if only because of the cover. Every band plays bad or poorly attended shows, it happens, but that’s not evidence enough to make the claim that those other bands were more impactful or bigger than ISMFOF when the numbers tell a completely different story.
