he carries baggage he can't put down every show, every night, every town
should be #1 comment
I've seen them somewhere between 4-6 times, I forget, and seeing them in Cbus tomorrow. Parker has been like that at most of the shows during most of the songs. It's not new. During certain songs at certain points he'll get more animated. His favorite song is The Glass and every time they've played it he hasn't moved a muscle lol.
He has great energy. He’s focusing more on his vocal range in the story so far. His stage pressence is still there, it’s just different. The story so far has shifted their focus artistically and no pressure is an outlet for Parker to be the classic pop punk bank with high energy that TSSF use to be. That doesn’t mean that he hates The Story so Far, it just means he wanted to mature their sound.
on point ✅
it's pretty obvious the not moving thing is because of the size of the shows TSSF plays nowadays
the last no pressure shows he seens a litle bit tired too
0:18 I went to one of these shows, the tickets were about £25 and he stood there for the whole set, occasionally moving his arm
why are your lips not synced
@@tabbyy_yy I wish I knew lmao I got this new camera and got the settings fucked up
@@VizzyPlus dang because its really distracting lmaoo, i cant even watch the video
This is a Childs opinion.
stfu bro you don’t know anything
I bought tickets to a festival about 5-6 years ago and he did the same shit. I will never see them again it was super lame
That’s exactly how they were when I saw them at Reading fest (UK), pretty sure 2019. They were really boring.
bro his trying to be like liam gallagher and trying sound like oasis to , its obvious
Maybe we should not forget that it's actual people performing on stage and not machines. Also he is not in his early twenties anymore. Touring and playing shows every day / every other other day is exhausting. I was at a EU show lately and they sounded great even though Parker did not move much and even sounded off pitch occasionally.
@@Mexfinity yeah I mention he’s probably tired, years of touring isn’t an easy thing especially now finding out about his dad
Just saw TSSF last week in cologne. The set lasted for more than 1 hour, they played songs from all of their records. They even played Quicksand as an encore, though I thought they wouldn't play one more song at the end of the set. The vibes might be different to No Pressure, but also the vocals are much harder. Parker performed great, I believe that TSSF just hits different for him than NP after all. The latest album shows that Parker still cares about TSSF, but maybe in a more serious way.
I'd rather have Parker Cannon sing perfectly than him being out of breath from moving everywhere. Edit: And also he has been having real stuggles with being burnt out and he just lost his father. Just listen to the lyrics.
So I have seen TSSF 2 different times now, so not a lot to go on but Im still gonna say my piece. Saw them headline with mom jeans, microwave, and Joyce manor back in 2022, and I saw them support ADTR this past summer. He is stationary, but both times the man put on a hell of a vocal performance. Ntm he did interact with the crowd the whole time (not in major ways but he did engage) and both times I saw him with a big smile just enjoying being in the moment. I’m hardly one to say how he’s feeling, or anything like that, but I don’t think he’s half assing his shows. I think he’s in his mid 30’s and decided he would rather give the best vocal performance he can, rather than jump around and throw out his old man back. Would I like more movement from the band as a whole? Yeah. Do I still love them? Also yeah
Its probably because he's sick of that band and acknowledges how insufferable his main fan base is
Corny video, caring about the "energy" of a band on stage should be left to pre teen's that just discovered slipknot. The music is better than it has ever been. Tuff.
The music is god, no one said it was bad brother- energy at a show IS important as you paid money to watch a SHOW.
Honestly I saw The story so Far at Warped Seattle in 2014 and fell in love with the band’s music. Parker’s aggressive pointing really sold it as well. Great breakup music. Hopefully he gets some peace in life after these harrowing events with his dad
He did this at the Disrupt Festival in 2019 at the Woodlands. I was like, is this the same singer ive seen before? Looked like he didn't want to be there at all.
on lawd im surprised nobodys talking
saw them in sa in july they sounded great
Don’t be a hater man, he prolly feels like he sings better and has more breathe when he’s not jumping around - yes it’s more boring but quality went up.
@@jacobrubinton2144 I’m not being a hater lol I like this band but that doesn’t mean I can’t talk about there stage presence not being the best, I also do mention in the video that he sounds good
Cant relate. Go to a no pressure show
Could you imagine burning yourself out that much writing mediocre music? Just quit man.
I was actually at the show the first clip is from(can actually see me holding up the phone recording in the clip) I took my girlfriend who isn’t a pop punk fan and both her and I wasn’t massively happy it was only an hour set if that and they had no energy whatsoever the entire show with no fan engagement at all so
W
I lived in a town 36mins from where they’re from I knew people that went to school with him and they said his dad was the biggest influence in his life and was his influence for music. it shattered him. I just think he just needs time to heal and he should be back to his normal self. 😊
@@unusualN0OB damn heartbreaking shit, hope he heals soon
@ I hope so too! I wanna see a collab with him and state champs one day! That would be so 🔥
I’m pretty sure his dad passed away from cancer shortly before writing I Want to Disappear. Those songs were pretty much his way of grieving. Soo, maybe folks should take that under consideration.
@@FlotsamCity damn that fucking sucks, It would also make sense since the energy started slowing down seemingly a few years ago (probably when they found out about the cancer)
You need to read the lyrics as you listen. the first 3 albums are the addiction cd 4 proper dose is about getting clean and struggling with sobriety and cd 5 is about loss and his father's passing man The band the story so far is a project that was probably tied to his old self and he planned to be done with it after proper dose but made a new cd because blink told them they needed new material for the tour they where doing and it all worked out to I want to dissappear (which start to finish makes me so sad about how one day I'll say goodbye to my parents) The reason you like no pressure is he started that band to get away from the heavy shit he was dealing with and to just have fun again with it but if you once again read the lyrics he says things that sound like he's dealing with his dad's health decline And las what does this rant all mean that under all the circumstances I explained he has lived a rough life and he keeps giving everything he has to everyone else these songs are parts of him and he replays that just to give us a good show on top of touring 2 bands at the same time because both tssf and no pressure had dates all over the us and other countries this year if the mans tired it's because he is and in more way then one Thanks Parker for giving us all something to help when our times get dark we arnt as alone as we think I guess ❤
He did the same thing at 2019 Disrupt fest. Dont know the factors as a spectators and I had never seen them in person. I was pumped, but they were a let down that night.
seen TSSF at outbreak autumn a couple of weeks go he had quite a bit of energy there. i think its barrier vs no barrier shows that makes the difference for him
Niche as your latest videos have been, you’re talking about shit I’m thinking about but no one else is covering. Keep it up man!
its cause tssf songs are harder to sing. he not moving around improved how he sounds
Is he liam?
Saw them at The Roundhouse in London around 2 weeks ago and I enjoyed the set but it was under an hour and ye his energy wasn't really there but it didn't ruin the show for me personally was more how short the set was
They’re so bad live man. The energy VACUUM takes anything away from how they actually sound live. I don’t like modern TSSF. Under Soul and Dirt for life haha
F an apology im not sorry for anything
@ Northstar rules
They sound amazing
@@ThomasTheCure Did we just become best friends?
did it at Disrupt Houston in 2019 too. I was bummed
wait millersville? youre not from lancaster are you? LOL
None of this matters.
The most embarrassing thing is this dude calling people staples to warped tour when he was likely still cum or an infant with a soft head and has no idea what warped tour was nor really is.
Idk if it’s just me getting older but I feel so fucking disillusioned with the scene. All new weird people man
Only if Nabil come back
sorry not sorry.. ISMFOF was a literal blip. Number 12 looks like you was objectively bigger at the time, horse was larger, alot of other weird kid scene bands were more impactful.
ISMFOF was MySpace royalty because of that Soulja boi cover, but the modern reality is that ISMFOF HAS over ten times the monthlies of number 12 as of today with a commanding lead in total streams. Not to put down number 12, there a good band, but they’re demonstrably less popular and look a hell of a lot better on paper when considering bands for such modern festivals. Calling them a blip doesn’t line up with reality here.
@@offthewallsk818 so as someone who was there. They couldn't even sell out chain reaction before they broke up and were dropped by epitaph. Yes, myspace cover woopty woop, but waking the cadaver wasn't the best 2000's deathmetal band because all the scene kids used it as their profile song. I'm glad they made the best of this situation: but they weren't the first, they weren't the last, and the broke up before fully capitalizing on the momentum.
@ it sure looks like they can sell it out now looking at videos of them playing there this year, and that’s what’s more relevant when a band is being considered for a festival, not when they couldn’t years ago during member transitions
@ it’s under 1k standing room only venue… the fact they were booked there last year says it all my dude. If anyone gave a shit, they’d have played a bigger venue. If that 818 in your name is where your from it’s literally smaller than midnight hour
@ as someone who’s been a touring musician internationally for over a decade, I’m well aware of the 250 cap at the chain reaction. Number 12 and Horse are/were great bands, but they didn’t have the mass appeal ISMFOF had, even if only because of the cover. Every band plays bad or poorly attended shows, it happens, but that’s not evidence enough to make the claim that those other bands were more impactful or bigger than ISMFOF when the numbers tell a completely different story.
They only fell off because nabil left. Matt sucks at making music and always has. Nabil was the back bone of ismfof.
But after what they did with Live Nation are they really surprised? And it's not ISMFOF as we know it, it's just Matt. Nabil was the driving force behind that band, hence why they're stuff since he left has been ... hit or miss.
Ima be real, I’ve never heard of these dudes
They were pretty big back in the day
Pretty sure ISMFOF owned the url for WWWYF and held the url hostage until they got offered a spot.
As of November 7th 2024, Fixed Altitude has 328 listeners and the only other song they’ve released is a full version of the meme clip Sanity Slip however, still has 12.2k listeners, though they haven’t released any music since 2024
Honestly all the artist you mentioned for monster stage would be so fire, I’ve seen a few of these groups live. I had fun moshing to turnstile and knocked loose with all the people there for a rap show 😂
Lmao why is this shitty band so pressed about this shitty band they have so much in common
