- I got a couple requests for this after I mentioned in CH's Discord server that Soulless 4 was undercharted. Most of these undercharts were because I thought accurately charting it would make the song less fun and no one would play it but there are a few legitimate errors I made while charting the song as well.

My favorite part is that it's famous for being played on Guitar Hero, but doesn't actually have any guitar in it.
So if you wanted to be no-fun strictly literal about it, the chart should actually be blank, waiting for the guitar section that would never arrive.

@@Ray-uq6nh Me actually. Some undercharted songs miss out on notes and you expect to play them but they aren't there. Some people can go from an easy song to a hard one just by knowing the beat. If you know what notes to play undercharted songs can be strange and irregular to people. You can strum a note that isn't there on a underchart just because you want to from the top of your head. However you are somewhat right to new players who are learning the basics. That is what is bad about undercharts because they teach people to play wrong.

I will never, ever get over those erroneous green notes in the intro right before Tradeoff in the beta chart
They were actually lower in the song originally but I changed it at some point and never updated the chart. The same thing happened with the "tradeoff" part where the four 2 note chords at the end of sections used to be four four note descending scales.
And this is why we need beberle2 back.

just also noticed its a remaster, amazing..
I went and corrected some errors in the song such as rhythm instruments being out of tune but most of the changes are minor. The split audio tracks will make it sound different though because it is changing the way the song is mixed.
It's great that you're still working on the song. I checked out the project and I still saw some notes like "add harmony here" Can't wait for the actual final version of Soulless 4.
that's probably the actually final version. I have a lot of those notes left that I never deleted in the project file. Sorry if it got your hopes up

I stand corrected. I've felt most of the time because I couldn't hear the notes that Soulless 4 is overcharted. But the piano roll doesn't lie!
I still think Plutomato's Hard chart is a lot more fun than the Expert chart and this one probably wouldn't endear me either, but that's probably just because I have no skill for GH.

Yo ExileLord, gotta ask. Would you say this is closer to how you imagined Soulless 4 to sound when you first made it? I know this is a remaster from the original, with certain aspects like the drums kicking harder, but other segments being less punchy.

@@LawfulT The point of Soulless (and the reason it's named Soulless to begin with) is because there's no chord progression, according to ExileLord himself. It's not supposed to sound all that good as a song, ExileLord just seems to enjoy making super difficult charts...

I don't really know anything about music theory. I know basic scales and chords and change stuff if what I made sounds wrong.

Ok can I go on a tangent how fucking awesome the fact that this song's section names can actually tell a sort of story if you think about it? Like by reading the section name and listening to the tone of that section, it can actually tell the story of robots gaining consciousness and revolting against humans for being so oppressive, at least imo. I don't know if it's intentional or not, it probably is, but it's fucking cool because this song has no actual video to it that can tell a story. This is really cool looking- I don't think we've really ever seen the piano roll or whatever this is for any of the songs yet. If you still have the piano roll thingy for it could you potentially do Soulless 3 or something if you still have it?
If you mean the midi background, the background is there so that you can prove that it is accurate to the MIDI sound file of the song, since people complain that S4 is overcharted as is and it is pretty clearly undercharted compared to the sound file.

How did you do that midi-style play thing in the background? Does FL have that functionality?
After splitting the FLP up for split audio tracks I exported the "lead" as midi then used external software to capture it.
