this is such a short section but just from it (and more generally the section after the break from 15:55) it feels like a "congratulations, you made it", with that final part hyping the success even more
@Ps3Harrison what's so much harder about soulless 4? Pretty much the only part that people have much trouble with is stepping b. Whereas with Soulless 5 it's got kraken, synthetic verse, escalate b, enlightened, and probably more I forgot to mention. Soulless 4 would've been fc'd already if frosted had a guitar with a consistent strum bar.
@Ps3Harrison Since SOAR is pretty much free if you have a good guitar, that pretty much just leaves Stepping B to Breaker, and Mach A. That's only 2 difficult sections. (And Mach A is only a few minutes into the song, so it's an easier reset than conspiracy.) With Soulless 5 you've got a 17 minute song that has sections like Kraken, Escalate B, Synth Verse, Thrice B, Enlightened, and the aforementioned Conspiracy. Many would say that those are on par with the hard parts of Soulless 4. Also, the reason that Soulless 5 was Tech FC'd much quicker than 4 was because Soulless 5 came out years after. People improved at the game a lot in the time, and had a lot of practice from the other soulless songs. I can assure you that if Soulless 5 had come out when Soulless 4 did, people would have had much more trouble Tech FCing it.

Even if you used some patterns from previous soulless, you've somehow made them fit the song and they're cool too. You're a genius man, keep up the good work.
Matteo Sabatini That's the thing with all the soulless songs. Exile recycles some of the patterns and makes the unique enough to be a part of that specific song, but nonetheless the pattern is sort of "iconic" to being Soulless
the fact its almost been 3 years. i remember the day you sent this chart out to the biggest CH youtube creators and streamers, and i remember vividly Acai's reaction to it. time really flies, and the recommended page is repeated proof of it
Hudson McGaughey "objectively" no i think 4 is better. It has more of a sense of identity i think. 5 is great but it feels less like a song and more like a lot of seperate parts that transition into each other
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's very hard to argue that the song making as well as the charting on soulless 5 is not better. Maybe objectively was the wrong word but oh well
Oh god, thats so hard. I don't blame you at all, I think you have to repeatedly spam all the keys at once. with a loaded revolver, then at the end, pull the trigger.
When he named the first soulless song, he called it soulless because it's like it had no soul, the song sounded dead and, well, soulless. But as the soulless 's keep going on, they sound more soulful, so I feel like the next one will be something along the lines of soulful
Return 0 is a upcoming megacollab hosted by mindcap featuring 17min of gameplay. it will most definitely be top 1 and the longest level in geometry dash history
A true test of endurance, made not for the Veterans, not for the Strong of Heart, but for the truest of the Legends and Masters; a trip that takes us into both Past and Future, all the while taking place completely in Present Time, nothing can stop this ballad and I feel that we will see Soulless V's legacy become one that will be hard to top. From how it feels to me, Soulless V, in many portions, sounds very similar in atmosphere and genre to when I composed a simple thirteen note YM2I280 and YM2I5I loop for the Roya Rockwood IV Level Select back in 2003 (track currently only available in Sonic the Hedgehog Bania: Gold! Edition's Nightly Build OST), it has that Old Era Pirate/Sailor~themed feel while still feeling like something that came out of the I8XX century, I984 to I988, and the Late 200X Chiptune scene alike, an interesting amalgamation and a nice throwback for those that wanted a partial genre shift from what Soulless IV delivered to us over three years ago; personally, I predict that Soulless V (Expert Course) will likely get a Single Segment Full Combo in as much time that it will take for Soulless IV, if not a little longer, it's definitely a difficulty spike up from the initial version of IV but nowhere near as brutal as the 20I8 Unnerfed revision, it will be a time for players both old and new to show what they truly know and have learned about the Guitar Hero gameplay formula and I feel that this one will be a welcoming play, the main players of the Clone Hero scene will have a fun time with this one for the foreseeable years to come. (:
It's a matter of personal preference, ultimately: I started using the Capital I in place of Numeral "1" a handful of years ago mostly out of distaste for how the number is depicted in certain fonts; the PC versions of TH-cam, Facebook, Twitter, and DeviantArt (Upload Titles only, in the case of the latter) all use a "1" that doesn't have a stem at the bottom and it becomes a "either have the stem or I take the Capital I or Lowercase L route", which has somehow made typing easier, ironically; this is actually part of why I started using Elsewhere as a primary font on Royameadow: The Channel, this Street Rap~style font from 200I comes with a "1" that is naturally a straight vertical line to begin with, and is relatively welcoming to use for logos, I would highly recommend this font for anybody who wants to feel as if their back in the days of Late '80s and Early '90s Hip Hop, Rap, and Downtempo Trip Hop and also attempt to deliver an Urban style to their works, truly comes in handy. (: As for Rick & Morty, I've only seen a handful of episodes of the series, at the moment, plus some notable highlights that were shared with me while reading an essay on the usage of clever dialogue and the impact of Postmodernism in North American Sitcoms that was written by my good friend and colleague of my group's Generation II/Early Gen III division Lydia King; she's actually a major part of the reason for why I have a different sense of appreciation for the series than most others and it honestly shows, I could even compare the series to many other shows from before its time mostly due to the way that the writing is handled and it is a work that does deserve more attention than it can get at points, virtually every part of it that I have seen has a noticeable impact into understanding a character's buildup and structure and it has helped me see it in other works, most recently in Marlon and even the current era of both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful (as jagged as the filler for TBatB may get at times, it's easy to understand the characters' backstory and mentality more after having read Lydia's essay, truly made all the difference).
Thank you so much for yet another incredible creation to grace this community that people will no doubt be unappreciative of, but hey. You're a goddamn legend. Never forget it.
probably not that long because this actually looks quite a bit easier than 4. most of it is slow and repetitive (not that that's a bad thing) and the few "hard" parts don't look too hard to nail with some practice.
I love how this one throws you right into it. No easy intro like Soulless 4, just throws you right into it after that amazing intimidating intro before the notes start. It’s also incredible that you even made a 17 minute long song.
The Finale feels so sad to me, It's like the song didn't do its job to absolutely murder your hands and those last notes were like a way of showing its sadness.
Is it normal that every time i listen to the outro my eyes get watery Exile, you did a fantastic job with this song. Its extremely hard but yet, its melodicaly complex. As a composition, its beautiful. Thank you for everything youve done over the years. And thank you for this Magnum Opus.
It’s funny that Acai’s video on this very song has more views than the original. Really shows that a lot of people don’t know about Exilelord’s channel, or they just want.... That brown man. Edit: 100 likes!? holy dang! this is the most I have ever gotten! thank you!
A tale of a legendary ship and its crew abducted from the sea by a soulless monstrosity, wanting to make them part of its mindless machine. After they are caged, they break out and perform a daring rescue of their captain, and make it back to their ship, where they make their escape. Not all of them make it back, but enough damage is done to the mechanical abomination that it must go on standby for a long time, and the surviving crew revel in the night, despite their losses, for they could've been well and truly soulless.
I think my favorite part of this whole thing is the Enlightened Solo (I think that's what it's called), the part that starts exactly at 14:56. Something about the effect on the notes that makes them sound like if you were talking into a fan is perfect

@ColdSoda #0959 not sure if this song will be for GH or what but this stream was from today www.twitch.tv/videos/819987151?t=01h26m50s

LOL
The would say the game is glitched when they'd see the sustain notes with the triads
Frostedgh already tech fced it and no mention? Wauw.
All of the soulless songs do this
the fact its almost been 3 years. i remember the day you sent this chart out to the biggest CH youtube creators and streamers, and i remember vividly Acai's reaction to it. time really flies, and the recommended page is repeated proof of it
Wait wait what. Holy shit that was 2 YEARS AGO? Wtf
@@schoolpresentations3593 Honestly had the exact same reaction.
I so can't wait for soulless 6
@@gregfisher4147 soulless 6 is out. it was an april fools joke. i dont think hes actually making an s6
I feel like soulless 4 was more memeable, and had a better intro, but I certainly think 5 is better. Love the work.
Soulless 4 was definitely more memorable and memeable but objectively soulless 5 is better
Hudson McGaughey "objectively" no i think 4 is better. It has more of a sense of identity i think. 5 is great but it feels less like a song and more like a lot of seperate parts that transition into each other
Why do people butcher the word objectively so much now.
TheFirG its almost as bad as 'literally'
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's very hard to argue that the song making as well as the charting on soulless 5 is not better. Maybe objectively was the wrong word but oh well
I've witnessed awesome progression on the development of this song live, and I'm not dissapointed. Great job ExileLord and everyone who helped him.
How to fc this song:
1- Place guitar on ground
2- Lay on the guitar
3- Have a seizure
No if you want that just play unnerfed Soulless 4
Sylver Nah lets wait for Soulless 5 unnerfed.
*I M A G I N E T H E N E R V E S*
Soulless 5 unnerfed wouldn't be much different than it currently is (that's what Exile said himself in another comment chain)
Sharkz117//NGO KURO aw
Haha how original
the section from 5:27 all the way to 6:25 goes unreasonably hard, the melody, the rhythm, EVERYTHING sounds perfect
Can someone help me with this chart? "A moment to reflect" is really challenging me
Step one, delete the song like me
I can FC up to Bass Intro... can anyone help?
You just have to take a moment to reflect on everything in life
dont strum
hope that helps
Oh god, thats so hard. I don't blame you at all, I think you have to repeatedly spam all the keys at once. with a loaded revolver, then at the end, pull the trigger.
Waiting for "If Soulless 5 Wasn't Undercharted."
WEREstheWOLF omg.
I thought this was an underchart given how blank some sections look
Theres not very much that would change.
So many nerves
Exile replied to a comment like this, saying that this wasn't as undercharted as S4
When he named the first soulless song, he called it soulless because it's like it had no soul, the song sounded dead and, well, soulless. But as the soulless 's keep going on, they sound more soulful, so I feel like the next one will be something along the lines of soulful
Imagine he makes this, posts it, then immediately is just like "sweet, now to get back to work on soulless 6."
I really love the style exile is going with since 4 and 5 i hope it keep going or even better
i want to believe that soulless now stands for the state of being you have to get to to FC the darn things. transcend morality
I thought the “soulless” name was representing the sheer difficulty and how exhausting the series is to play.
@FloridSkyesGH didnt he also say that it would be hard to make soulless (1) sound nice as well?
R.I.P Soulless 5
July 21st 2018 - October 17th 2019
Congrats for the FC Frosted
2:23 “hey can I copy your homework?” “Yea just make sure you change it up a bit so it doesn’t look copied.”
11:00 too
10:53 to the end of the section is just a soulless 4 callback. Not to mention the soulless 3 section ripped straight from the song way earlier
11:36 - 12:06 took straight from soulless 6

This song is so good that it actually conveys a scene. A tremendous battle.
I think 14:11 is my favorite part of the whole video. The music just gives a sense of great urgency, and I love it.
14:41 is also pretty good.

Royameadow Why do you use I instead of 1? Also do you watch Rick and Morty
As for Rick & Morty, I've only seen a handful of episodes of the series, at the moment, plus some notable highlights that were shared with me while reading an essay on the usage of clever dialogue and the impact of Postmodernism in North American Sitcoms that was written by my good friend and colleague of my group's Generation II/Early Gen III division Lydia King; she's actually a major part of the reason for why I have a different sense of appreciation for the series than most others and it honestly shows, I could even compare the series to many other shows from before its time mostly due to the way that the writing is handled and it is a work that does deserve more attention than it can get at points, virtually every part of it that I have seen has a noticeable impact into understanding a character's buildup and structure and it has helped me see it in other works, most recently in Marlon and even the current era of both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful (as jagged as the filler for TBatB may get at times, it's easy to understand the characters' backstory and mentality more after having read Lydia's essay, truly made all the difference).
issa song

Lilla Oshisaure lol back in 6 years ago, Exile himself said "im not gonna making another soulless" but in 2015 and 2018 we have sl4 and sl5 lol

I can hear the sound of thousands of plastic guitars breaking, it’s truly wonderful.
I love how this one throws you right into it. No easy intro like Soulless 4, just throws you right into it after that amazing intimidating intro before the notes start. It’s also incredible that you even made a 17 minute long song.
:)

Not sure why it is, but soulless 5 always puts me to sleep. Not in a boring kind of way. More like the music is soothing. Anyone else?
@Servine ty
the solo that begins at 13:20 sounds insane like your in a boss fight or like your in an intense match or something. PERFECT!!!!

Honestly 11:36 to 12:05 is my favorite part. It has such a great tune and mood to it for some reason which I can’t quite describe.
Thrice is a Soulless 3 throwback
Oh absolutely.
It’s funny that Acai’s video on this very song has more views than the original. Really shows that a lot of people don’t know about Exilelord’s channel, or they just want....

A tale of a legendary ship and its crew abducted from the sea by a soulless monstrosity, wanting to make them part of its mindless machine. After they are caged, they break out and perform a daring rescue of their captain, and make it back to their ship, where they make their escape.
Not all of them make it back, but enough damage is done to the mechanical abomination that it must go on standby for a long time, and the surviving crew revel in the night, despite their losses, for they could've been well and truly soulless.
your music is genuinely beautiful and it makes me feel inspired to create. it's like i'm on an epic adventure.

This would fit amazingly in the background of some sort of video game boss fight.
This IS a video game boss fight.
This is a battle for your soul!
I think my favorite part of this whole thing is the Enlightened Solo (I think that's what it's called), the part that starts exactly at 14:56. Something about the effect on the notes that makes them sound like if you were talking into a fan is perfect
those repeated high notes give it a sort of "you're almost there, you got this" vibe
I love how this sounds more or less the same throughout but somehow varies so much in 17 minutes!
nice job
5:27 holy shit this sounds good and the whole song was great. I don't even play Guitar Hero but I loved listening to this :)
17 minutes...
and I thought soulless 4 was pretty long...
Cathedral is such a relaxing sound, and a wonderful technique to do in the middle of this hellscape.
lmao rip the gh community. Soulless 4 was the headshot, Soulless 5 is the double tap.
Lmao
It’s not a double tap. It’s a controlled pair.
Ironically this song is getting faster progress than soulless4
yeah FrostedGH can FC it soon
Yeah because Soulless 4 feels made to be un-FCable. This is possible, just a fucking monstrous endurance run
SOULLESS 5???? IT'S FREAKING AWESOME SONG EVER!!!!!!! IT'S SOULFUL 5!!!!! YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST!!!!
Is it weird that the melodies from 15:41 onward actually make me tear up a little?
I'd have to agree with you.
Its like the soulless robot finally learned how to be happy and is celebrating the end of the song with you.
Its actually a more depressing tone to me
To me it sounds like a long fight has finally come to an end, and through all of the scars and pain you've managed to emerge victorious
the best part is that the section name is "You Did It!" and so it's like you're celebrating with rememberance
