    Ticks all the boxes with no major flaws; a great option in this size class! 45W output in a power bank this size is pretty solid, IMO; I don't generally need a power bank that can put out a small amount of power for 8+ hours, I need one that can discharge fairly quickly (high power density) into whatever device I'm trying to charge back up.

    Nice! Been rocking this for a few years now( its also often way cheaper than msrp $40). Has the 'perfect' capacity for me for vacation trips. Was just in japan and i end up around 20% every night of a full day of heavy phone usage of google maps + taking tons of photos and videos on my phone. Only con is it can't do the 45w pps that some samsung phones can handle. think their 20k power bank can though.

    Thanks for the valuable info. One factor you didn't really cover much was that this unit goes up to 20V output, whereas many others in its class don't. I just got one and verified. Although its capacity is too small to effectively charge my laptops all the way, the 20V capability at least gives me the ability to partially charge or run laptops for a short time in an emergency, in addition to good performance for phones. That's why I chose it. Thanks again.

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      uh, you may have watched the video but obviously I need to work on it's attention grabbing ability since that stuff is in there 5 or 6 times. It's repeated over and over in visuals, I mention laptops a lot for a 6 minute video. But yeah, it's why the channel is so small, it's not very good, oh well, this one really missed the mark I guess. What part of the video did you get information out of if you missed all that other stuff?

    • @doctave
      @doctave 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AllThingsOnePlace The most valuable parts in these type of videos for me are the comparison charts and your conclusion. I like to see what the contenders are (so I can look at those too), and I like to get your overall impression against these others. Very helpful. Your comparison charts don't mention 20V (only "45W"), and your conclusion mentions "lots of modes of operations" but not 20V specifically. The couple of contenders from your chart that I looked at do not operate at 20V. I could see from your various visuals that BI-B62 covered 20V, but not that some or all compared units didn't. In my case, 20V was the deciding factor. My laptops don't run/charge AT ALL below 20V. So I was just sort of surprised 20V wasn't highlighted as a key difference in the charts or conclusion, because this (for me anyway) is a make it or break it feature, that's all. Now I can buy one power bank, small enough to carry for my phones, but still usable for laptop. Maybe most other laptops work at lower voltages, and that's why it's not the forefront feature that everyone would care about? That I don't know. Note that my original comment was you didn't "cover much" about the 20V, not that you didn't cover it at all. Again I was just surprised that 20V wasn't highlighted in the charts or conclusion, everything else was great for me.

There's a lot of choice but pick one with a battery size bigger than the device you want to charge. So, phone, say 6000 mah battery get a 10000 mah or bigger power bank.

    3:41 *but with the shape of the discharge curve of a lithium cell, 3.6/3.7 must be close to the average voltage value for one full cycle, right? So it should be a very good approximation. Did you ever verify it?

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is why they 'rate' the power bank with those figures. I have tested a few batteries as stand alone, but I didn't check the approximation versus the measured numbers. I usually just check if the cell has at least that amount of energy then it's a 'good' cell.

    Did I miss the voltage fluctuation test or was that not shown? I use one of the 165W adapters from a different brand but I assume it's a clone. Works well to charge my 85W 2013 MacBook Pro with a USB-C to Magsafe 2 adapter. I have tried a few of these things and most overheat and stop charging but this one is able to keep going, although it does get a little hot. Was interested to see what the issue is with the voltage fluctuations you mention. I believe it's got a higher (still less than 1W) idle power draw due to the green ring light which is useless. This isn't much of an issue for me though since the cars I own turn off the cig lighter with ignition off, and I mostly use it in my camper where I have a big power bank.

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I feel like this comment is on the wrong video? Sounds like it's for car chargers... Anyway, I think I showed the ripple voltage in one of the charts, but I think for fluctuation I was talking about changing the input voltage and how the output responds to that. I don't think I fully explained it though.

    Thanks for sharing ❤ I have a question, my cordless clipper used 18650 battery with 3.2 volt DC motor, I want to upgrade with more RPM, is it necessary to replace exactly 3.2 volt or can I use 3.0 volt/3.6 volt DC motor?

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So, if you replace it with a 3 volt motor, the motor will run at higher current, if the product can't dissipate that extra heat or the current consumption is too high the motor will burn out early. The other end of the spectrum is at 3.6 volts versus the original 3.2, the motor will under perform, it may not be able to reach it's rated RPM and you may end up with worse performance. Getting the closest match to original rated voltage is a good idea. Of course testing, testing, testing. Since the ratings probably come with some degree of uncertainty. Ask the manufacturer for a detailed datasheet with charts of performance across voltage ranges.

    Thanks for making this. Do you think the other models of Iniu in this line would likely preform similarly? Im eyeballing the Iniu B62 20,000 65w for its recharge speed and lighter weight. I use these for backpacking and every little gram helps keep that backpack weight down. Do you have any specific battery banks that come to mind for a 20,000mah/sub 3 hour recharge model thats as light as possible? Excluding the Nitecore ones, as I've had the NB20,000 fail on me mid trip last summer on a 3,000 mile backpacking trip. I've also had bad luck with Bestus as well. The fastest charging thing I use it for is my 45w input phone so output speed is less important to me than input speed.

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This video is the B62. The B63 is 25000 mah and 65W, this is a series, I think I say that in the video, I'll probably do a combo video next and cover the 20k and 25k. It's a pretty unpopular series from the video side but that's my production being half assed, ha. The product seems very good though. Yeah, for some reason the nitecore fans get real mad if you say anything bad about them...
      The B63 is probably the closest you are going to get to a larger battery capacity and higher charging speeds. The B63 unit is about 15% heavier per energy unit versus the NB20000. The B63 does meet all of it's claims though it is not the lightest option.

      @@AllThingsOnePlace thanks for getting back to me so fast. You're certainly correct and show the label on the box at 0:03 into your video! What's confusing me is that on Iniu's website they have an "INIU B62 Power Bank,20000mAh 65W USB C Laptop Portable Charger, PD QC Fast" shown, and not a 15,000mah battery option. Do you think they updated this model recently? I reached out to them for weights of a few models and they got back to me claiming the B62 is 13.7oz. Now I don't know which one they were referring to. I was also thinking about the Ugreen 100w 20,000 model. Any thoughts on that brand holding close to their claimed numbers? The nitecore 20k failed on me about 1/2 way through my trip. It started acting very screwy. Sometimes it would flash it was charging but never actually charge. You might unplug it and it would continue to flash it was charging even when not plugged into the wall anymore. Sometime when I did get it to charge I would plug something into it to charge and it wouldn't start charging the device. I met two other hikers that had the same problems out of the exact battery so I'm trying to find a good replacement.

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, sounds like a power bank issue and the way the tablet interacts with the power bank. This power bank tries to stay awake essentially, most power banks will shut the port off and require a physical unplug and replug after finishing charging the connected device. The power bank and tablet probably have similar sized batteries and can both charge and discharge from the same port so there may be a power sharing issue too. One decides it's charging the other device and vice versa in a loop. This is known to happen with any devices as it's essentially whoever yells the loudest or faster gets to charge the other device. The big problem is it'll do this until both batteries are flat.

      I do over current and short circuit as part of the testing on all of these. If it has an issue, believe me, that'll be part of the video, probably the focus of the video. The output voltage is measured during testing so no over voltage on the output side happened or it would be reported.
      Over voltage on the input doesn't seem productive, most of these will fail, and fail permanently in an over voltage input condition. Due to the way these function, where the device asks for the voltage, an overvoltage condition would be extremely rare, like a modified power supply to USB C cable or something. Creating a protection circuit in itself could end up making it less safe, as that circuit then needs sensing and controls. It isn't an industrial product and it isn't protected to that level. Over voltage is a sure FIRE way to end the test quickly though.

      You have 100W baseus Power bank plug in to 100W Baseus charger and you do the Charger the over Voltage test, let's see if it will burn the charger or the power bank 😄😄

      I'm not sure. Look up the Wh of the battery add 25%. Take the output Wh from this and divide by the device+25%, that will give you number of charges.

    Ah, I've just seen that the BI-B62 is now a different power bank. Funny. In any case, it is only able to charge my Honor Magic5 Pro with 5 watt... hardly enough to keep the phone operating at all.

      Yeah, need more information for that one, the battery itself doesn’t really help to figure out charging needs. If the plan is to charge a battery outside of the laptop none of these will work.

      I wish manufactures would stop wasting potential PD ports with useless USB-A ports. USB-C to USB-A adapters exist and are cheap for people that need them. A USB-A to USB-C adapter on the other hand is a waste as it cannot benefit from PD.

    for "Efficiency of Discharge" (86.5%), does that mean if you have a 12975 mAh phone, this 15000mah powerbank can charge it from 0~100%, with 0 battery remainder? (obviously ignoring real life fluctuations, just so I understand how to apply the math of this metric)

    • @AllThingsOnePlace
      @AllThingsOnePlace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that's the intention of the number. I need to label it better. Of course the phone has it's own inefficiency of charge so reality is less than that by probably another 20-30%.
