I mean if you can only hit to one side then you aren't exactly a top hitter. People only call you that cause of the chance of the long ball. If you are a lefty and it is well-documented majority of the hits go right field, I'm stacking as many bodies as I can on the right side. If you hit oppo, fair, you beat the shift but I'm still going to stack on the right because there is always the likelihood you will pull one.
It's crazy how they are actually throwing 102, usually pitches clocked at 102 are at 101.7 or rounded up, but when you throw a solid 102.3 thats impressive
dont worry, as long as ben joyce stays in the angels organization you wont have to worry about a starter for the angels having the hardest pitch. that kid throws HEAT
Having a legit flamethrowing closer makes baseball so much more fun to watch, it's like having an electric kick returner in football -twins/packers fan finally getting to experience both
Joel Zumaya would have been the Detroit flamethrower of the pre-Statcast era who clearly threw harder than the listed pitchers as seen by pre-Statcast Chapman's 106 being replicated with a bunch of 104-105s.
2 days later and Ben Joyce is the new leader for the angels
Looks like Ben Joyce has the angels record by a lot now. 102.9 I think is his fastest pitch so far. He threw 105.5 at Tennessee
“Ted Williams hit .400 with the shift”
- every oldhead baseball fan
I mean it’s true tho

Man, the Brewers never have any flamethrowers lmao
Hader?
@@TheWavyWorldOfJuice He throws 97-98, not really considered a "flamethrower"
@@cantkillmetal666 thats still a hard fastball
@@percnowitzki3808 yeah but its not that fast for an elite closer, all the other closers as good as him can usually throw 99-101

Man only a few days and someone already broke one of these records. Ben Joyce gonna be great
I think trevor megill set the new record for the brewers a couple days ago

it didn't take long
@@TartWeaver1 yea lmao he made his debut yesterday. didn't throw 105 but he'll do it soon
For the royals if not for Chapman, wouldve Yordano Ventura been mentioned? I miss that guy😢rest in peace.
I don’t think he threw that hard but RIP indeed
Wait i concur you are right sir
Chapman is the stereotypical speed demon with no command at times.
“the pants shitter”
If only he had Nolan Ryan to mentor him
@@SimGunther Ryan had no command either lol
Joe Kelly threw 104 to judge a couple years ago lol
Love the content bro…thank you and keep up the good work 👍

Nwangwu is better
Mad respect to the brave catchers taking those bullets
Thanks for the video!!
the video i never knew i wanted to watch so bad until you posted it
Omg this is such a great video to make plz make more
Ben Joyce just got called up 🥶😈😈
So we get a slowest pitch video next?
9:23 wow, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time
prime Chappy was unstoppable
He threw a 104 for the Royals. Safe to say he kinda is still in his prime.
@@clarkesmith. can't argue with that
Hicks and Helsey for the Cards make 100+ regularly would not want to face that as a hitter. Nasty
i miss joe so much as a sox fan!!!!
I like this video
ben joyce just broke the angels record
Seeing Nolan Ryan's velocity "marginalized" is odd. But when you realize he burned it up there for 26 years...
Imagine getting hit square in the shin with a 106mph fastball.
ben joyce just broke the ohtani record with 10 pitches registering at 102 mph in his debut against the white sox
Video has been out for 3 days and Ben Joyce has replaced Shohei 😂
Ben Joyce just broke the Angels record
The Red Sox K record is incorrect: Nathan Eovaldi had a 101.6mph strikeout in game 5 of the 2018 ALCS
Unfortunate timing Ben Joyce just threw 102 for the angles
You’re gonna need to update this video since the Angels called up Ben Joyce lol
It’s too bad this came out just before Ben Joyce came up for the Halos. He’s gonna take all those Ohtani spots on the leaderboard real quick
I hate that this is all by statcast because Joel Zumiya threw a 107mph heater for the Tigers in 2007 and I was at that game.
angels now got ben joyce
In the detroit tigers i remember matt Anderson and joel zumaya with triple digits
zumaya threw 105 pre-stat cast iirc
chapman know owns the rangers too 😭
Now your going to have to remake this video for the angels considering ben joyce just joined the roster
Ben joyce is pretty much gonna destroy all of shoheis records on the angels
Gotta update the angels lol
What about joe Kelly 104 on the redsox
👍
Not anymore for the angels. Ben Joyce came 3 days late for the video
I've been salty about the cardinals letting joe kelly go for about a fuckin decade lol

High Heat!
What about hunter greene’s 105 mph pitch?
I mean he could have showed it since chapman's wasn't under statcast but chapman's pitch takes the top spot
After this video Abner Uribe threw one 103-104 this season.
Chapman snags three spots! NYY; cubs; reds
And royals!
@@madethecut2 Ben Joyce
Say what you will about chapman but he’s a beast
Bautista’s strikeout vs Cruz wasn’t even a k it was a 1:1 count lol
One of those laser beams could kill a batter some day.
chapmans 106 with the reds was actually 105
I thought Bryan Abreu hit 102 a few times
Didnt justin verlander throw 102 for the tigers?
Statcast era
What is a “K” pitch? Knuckleball?
what about ben joyce???????
Joel Zumaya threw faster for Detroit.
Ben Joyce threw faster for the Angels.
Zumaya was before statcast

I think he just didn't want to say paedo because that gets your channel in trouble
Why not list slowest to fastest? Listing stats by division buried the info I really wanted to see. Stopped watching as result.
The top three would all be Chapman if he did that
