Note how many of the $hit calls are from Hernandez. Horrible umpire. Also note the number of times an umpire rings up a player is with the count full and the player knows it is a ball and starts heading to first. It's like the umpire does not want you to be calling the balls and strikes so he will call you out if you start heading to first.

  • @crs1639111

It’s simple. See ball hit ball.
You’re only going to get one good pitch per AB. When a hitter has 2 on ‘em, you have to shorten up and protect. Don’t leave strike 3 up to ‘Blue’.
Most, but not all, of the called 3rd strike looking, were close enough for the hitter to make an attempt.
And, a lot of nobody’s begging for calls. As a hitter and pitcher, you’d better have proven you deserve the corners. Unless Angel Hernandez is behind the plate.
    Then, protect your ass.

5:20 might be the worst call I’ve ever seen in my entire life. 😂😂

What are the official MLB protocols for reviewing particular calls and/or the performance of particular umpires who have made multiple calls which are clearly incorrect?

Love how the majority or at least it seems like most of them were Angel Hernandez

One of the reasons I don't watch baseball any more, horrible umps who think they are the game.

Angel Hernandez is special. Not many people can say they were truly the worst person in their profession for such a long time. Quite impressive feat.

This is just painful to watch. Why can’t MLB keep the umpires and have them call the digital balls and strikes? Very simple solution.

5:13 was the worst ball/strike call I've ever seen. I'm a Rays fan in Dallas, I was at the game, and if it hadn't been the second week of the season I would have been enraged.

So as a catcher in little league "framing" the pitch was something i work on a lot. I feel like the catchers influenced a few of those calls, some of those were just absurd tho.
