Excellent job again Muzz. Thanks for the info on SpotX. This video gives a good idea on how steep the country is. I've got friends here in Utah that think I'm pulling their legs when I describe it. I'll be back in NZ this March if all goes well, and I plan to check out some of the ground I used to know.
Yeah bro, hard not to be happy with that haha. How are you getting on? Trust there’s a roar video in your future? I’m heading back up the range today for a look around. Will check your latest vid when I get back 👍🏻
Yax’s little heading dog Fern is blueprint trained. He has trained a couple off the blue print and likes the system but natural traits of the dog seem to be the most important part of the puzzle.
Do the deer carry ticks in New Zealand, I stalk deer in northern England and Scotland and they are covered in ticks, it used to be only the summer months but with the milder winters they are about most of the year now, love the channel👍
I try keep this spot for those that already know it mate. My top tip for spots is the spot x hunting book, it will cost you $40 but has spots and how to access them the length of the country. Good luck, and start your licensing process now if you haven’t already, lots of delays.
That was 352 meters, I’m not running anything fancy just 150g federal blue packet factory ammo. I’ve tried the fancy stuff and my rifle doesn’t like it, just to fast. If I’m zeroing a new rifle I buy 3 different packets and see what preforms best and roll with that.
Awesome seeing all the deer and stags out on the tops. Mint trip
Well done guys... good old ruahines still delivering

Good trip Muzz. All getting a stag makes it a good trip. Thanks for the vid. Take it easy.
Nice to see a lot more animals about than when I hunted those tops in the 80's.
There’s noticeably more on the tops even from 3-5 years ago. Pretty much since WARO stopped shooting.
Mean effort lads. 10/10
Good work Muzz, looks like the lads had a hell of a trip👍🏽, hot barrels
Cheers Jason, was choice to your daughter doing the yards to get her first deer.

Cheers, Yax has had his for a few years and rates it and I only just bought mine before the trip. Good quality, fit and at a reasonable price.

Haha just checked out your channel and see you can shoot so sorry for extra explanation when it wasn’t required 😂

I leave that bit out on purpose so it doesn't get packed full of pigeon peckers.
