I absolutely adore this tractor. Great buy and great value for money. About the front end not looking aggressive enough, my uncle over in Ireland has this same model. I believe it is his front loader bracket that sticks up like to bent fangs on the front (wish I could add a picture here), its a rossmore loader (FL 110? older model that's discontinued I believe) so could be specific to the loader (btw it looks awesome and is so handy with a loader) and not possibly to get ahold of otherwise but that really sharpens the looks on the tractor for me. Hopefully, I will get to drive it some more when I go over there to work a bit on the farm and meet the family. It truly is a magnificent beast of a machine. Happy ownership and good luck with fixing her up!😃
Right after this, I'm straight on to watching the next video on this tractor, so in love with it, may it bring joy to the family, and I am excited to see Max speeding around in it.😆 Anyways Happy days as Farmer Phil almost always says.
Hi James + Max, That looks a decent tractor the two of you are over the moon, that is going to be a good work horse, I bet Mike can't wait to get his spanners on it. Now go and have some fun in your new tractor, catch you soon Take care
As soon as I pulled it in the yard the other day we were all looking around the nice bits. Mike didn’t bother, he went strait in and pulled the bonnet off to look at the pto issue 😂
Hi James and Max , congratulations on your new Same looks like a tidy example. I would be fairly keen to buy your Same 80 but I would need to sell my MF 698 first these things always come along at the wrong time I think it’s called the law of sod there’s never the right time when money and big purchases are involved 👍
I think there is a switch on the left-hand side of the dash by the steering wheel you press before a cold start which engages a heater and you wait about three or four seconds when a light on the dash goes off start the tractor. This will clear the smoke when starting. In the past I drove a similar Lamborghini to your Same. Best of luck with the tractor
Can I suggest that you give the viewers more warning that the video is about to end as that’s when most folk usually give the thumbs up. When you said thanks for watching there wasn’t enough time to give a thumbs up before the video ended. Anyway lovely tractor, I’m sure you will enjoy the upgrade. 👍
There was a Same just like that just up the road from you for a while a good few years ago at Rose Ash. I wonder if it was the very same one as would be around that age . Maybe worth a look on the log book.
The bottom pto is land drive which is driven by your wheels, you switch between 540 and 1000 on a lever just on the left side of the pto on the back. Also the hook bracket for the top link is there it just needs a u shaped hook to go through the holes
I had a 1998 Same Silver 90, great tractor, easy to run, reliable and plenty of power,. It had a 3 way splitter and the one I had was a little higher spec with an electronic lift etc. The only thing is the gearbox can be notchy if the linkages wear. I would have bought a new one but the nearest dealer was 50 miles away, went for New Holland. SAME us a very under rated tractor, great value for money.
Shame they were so far away and you have to go for an inferior blue tractor haha 😉 The gears in the one seem ok although they are a bloody long way apart.
Looks a good tidy machine, wouldn't be silly money neither but more suited to lighter work. Parts availability may a problem but Deutz dealerships may help out there. Odd place to put the hand throttle though.
why not spin the seat round, its a shame there only cheap tyres on the back, came from a dealers with faults must of been cheap or one from cambridge sale
Yeah can’t have everything I suppose although they are Klebers on the rear which will be fine for us. I was aware of the pto issue and that the aircon.
The stickers are the correct colour except they are poor quality spurious rubbish but they are the correct colour! The black stickers didn’t come out until the series 2 as far as I know , the older same tractors were good but those same silvers were dirt .
@@finditfixitfarmit I'm claiming victory on the tractor purchase prediction by the way,H Curtis had a Same Antares 110 with front linkage and PTO a few weeks back and that was my prediction, you just bought an even better and tidier version 🤣👊👍👌
Well your certainly a happy chappy James , great tractor and your keeping us entertained and making a few bob as well .
Cheers Richard. Hopefully make a few quid as we go 👍🏼
Just found your channel today, and boy it’s addictive!! Subscribed 👍🏻
Awesome thank you Kevin, you are most very welcome.
Brilliant buy , looks a fine looking machine, everything you could probably wish for.
Max looks so pleased by your buy. 👍👍
Thank you Philip. Fingers crossed. He is over the moon

he does have a shuttle on his one though and that feels so handy but more power to you if you can handle the other system better
Thank you Daniel, really appreciate this.

the decals on the 5610 are correct, later gen 2's have the black decals
i was gonna say paint the bonnet i think it looks good the way it is dont change it

Thanks mate, I agree. Luckily I have a friendly dealer nearby who has contacted me. Yeah it is an odd place for the hand throttle 😂
Looks like it has been well looked after!! - How do you make two boys very happy? Purchase another tractor 😊😊👍🚜
She is in good condition for sure and will stay that way for sure. Yeah, we are very happy haha
Nice Buy tidy SAME👍👍 front links & pto Handy the pto possibly has an electric clutch to engage Thanks again
Could well be, more likely clutch plates are warped. Thanks Darren 👍🏼
paint the front grill on the new same around the head lights
Will look at that, thanks Russell 👍🏼
paint the front and bonnet grills black , looks smart personally not a same fan but ive never had anything to do with them
Second that for painting the grills, could do silver tho to match the cab roof and pilled.
Awesome, will look into that 👍🏼
Just leave, it looks great👍👍👍👍😎🙂
I spoke to soon great tractor
Awesome thanks for commenting during, Darren, it certainly makes it more fun. But you’re right I will regret selling the 80. That will be a sad day.
Buy a new Tractor with a flat floor is not an excuse, it's a reason. Nice machine. Cheers
This is true!
Your bottom pto spline is ground drive.
The previous stickers I took off before painting were blue if I remember correctly 👍
They were, I got it wrong Rich. The newer ones are black.
looks to be a tidy tractor........i've got 2 Same Explorer's.....90 and 100, probably a bit more basic than the Silver range
Still beautiful though, lovely tractors!
Your missing the tool box on the back
Yes, shame it does not have the original.
Same
The seat should swivel.
Yes it does, forgot to mention that bit 🤦🏻♂️
What a beast
Thank you John 👍🏼
Nice 👌👍
Thanks Nev 👍🏼

It a same in grey
I think they were blue and white
McCormick
From the shape of the thumbnail you would think so haha.
don't part with the 80 for a while ............those water cooled silvers are often sold for a reason
Or sammy at lucky day competitions
Now there’s a thought 😉
Solid - you needed more HP.
Probably not to be fair, but it never hurts hey 😂😂
Nice is it 40kph
She is, so with front and rear linkage a proper farm sale collection machine 😉
The stickers are the correct colour except they are poor quality spurious rubbish but they are the correct colour! The black stickers didn’t come out until the series 2 as far as I know , the older same tractors were good but those same silvers were dirt .

orange
Should of gone for a 7740 or 8340
You are 100% correct! I love the 40 series. But I do have a soft spot for Same’s.
@@finditfixitfarmit yes they were great tractors we used to have 2 white roof 8340s
Four wheel dive brakeing
Four wheel breaking,far better imo👍

They are the correct stickers for a series one ten series ford because we have a 7610 series one 👍
Max looked it up and you’re right. The later ones had black.
Nice looking tractor guys 👏, best of luck with her. How much was it guys?
Thanks Shane, I will divulge in a future video 👍🏼
