OMG! I LOVE the Spiders, Shake Electric is plain out incredible! Again, and again, Sweden delivers THE BEST pure, real, kick ass hard rock with major attitude and style ..The Backyard Babies, The Hellacopters, Hardcore Superstar, Graveyard, and tons more....2 things...I truly believe kids there are taught rock music 101 in grade school, and 2, I am SO CLOSE to moving to Stockholm with my guitars and amps and getting a total kick ass hard rock band together...I relate to this music so much it's insane, it's just in my damn blood and DNA!!!....SWEDEN F.T.W. ;) (p.s. On my 7th time listening to this gem of a song
I had to come back and say a few more things...First off, this song the Spiders have crafted, absolutely strikes the core of what hard rock music is. It's like supercharged 70's rock, maybe a hint of early Pat Benatar, mixed with a dash of modernization, then wrapped with the Spiders unique style, attitude and talent. 5 star just on the song alone. But what really puts this way, WAY over the top, is Max Ljunberg's vision and video direction. Mixing those quick camera swoops, out of focus camera shots, those glowing lens flare effects, and the double mirror images that harkens back to the 70's, especially Led Zeppelin's "Song remains the Same" concert video. He took the Spiders just playing on a stage and turned it into a visual assault of awesomeness that you have no idea what camera shot your going to see next. Big KUDOS to Max, this is a visual feast to behold, and of course with the volume CRANKED, it's pure bliss. The only caveat I would add, put a disclaimer at the start of the video....something to the affect of: WARNING! EXPLOSIVE CONTENT AHEAD! ;) The world needs to see and hear this video and see how it's suppose to be done.
+rodger deering Just discovered them myself. Shake Electric is an awesome disc. Got lucky and saw them in Pittsburgh in late January. If you like this, check out Imperial State Electric. The Hellacopters guitar player formed it. Start with a song called Uh Huh. Enjoy!
Hey there trv411! Well met ;) Ya know what? They played in Cleveland OH just right before they played in Pittsburgh!!! I wasn't in town, or I would have went and saw them! Im 20 miles from Cleveland. But yes! I love Imperial State Electric! I LOVE all those bands from Sweden! But thank you for hipping me to that anyway...I got one for you...type into the search "The Biters - Electric Blood full album....They totally freakin rock! And some of their videos....low lives in high definition, restless hearts, 1975, so many nights...plus they have tons of other EP albums....I think you'll dig'em.... Have a great day, talk to you soon...Rodger :)
Just saw then tonight, before hank von hell in Montreal. After the show i saw the singer at the merch boot, i talked to her and the song playing in the bar was City Slang by sonic rendez vous band. I challenged her to tell the name of the band playing, and she called it instantly. Had to pay 10 beers. She got my respect at that moment; and my heart
This isn't the only band doing this right now, by far - but I gotta say: 70's style rock has returned in full effect :) Great to see bands just being bands again!
Yooh...this is a great Rock Song.... so 70's .. there's that funny line..."Young and in Love... " I had the oppertunity to see the Band live and they Rock..cool guyzzz,, and Ann-Sofie is a nice brunette from Sweden..heheh... more live-footages from NL on my TH-cam Channel : xs4allbeenz Thumbs up and Rocks-off
Again, it's derivative - someone already pointed out the similarity to Big City Nights - and they remind me of something I might have done in High School and thought was cool, but I still like them because they're positive and they do rock … a bit. Plus I do respect the fact that the drummer is using a bona-fide vintage 70s Hayman drum kit! That scores points for coolness all day long!
2022 here. Still really good.
2019 here. Just discovered them today and they don't suck.
2021 here. Right now I know this band for less than 1 hour and I'm nicely surprised, they're great!
Sounds a hell of a lot like "Big City Nights"...so yeah this shit is going into my playlist ASAP
Great band and frontwoman, I love it.

Sexy bad ass rock n roll.
The beginning of the riff sounds quite like Whitesnake's Fool for Your Lovin.
Even so, I'm still a great fan of Spiders.
Big city night

You could do worse than have an Elle Macpherson lookalike who can sing in your band. Kick ass band/songs/image/vibe/etc

Not one to sit too...
thank God for the Aussies
What Aussies?
The chords remind me of the scorpions
Yes you're right, it's like the riff of Big City Night !
Baptiste Le Loup yes!
So much Jabs in solo too.. basically is "fool for your loving" and "big city nights" together!! Nice

very nice, but just not as nasty as it should be… would be worth taking drugs, that's my advice
do ya spy ?
