What a ride! Can you imagine that first 20 seconds! Straight up into the dark at 3 gs and then 90 degrees per second roll - this is AMAZING video - well worth MANY viewings! Congrats ReelNASA! Every watcher needs to post this everywhere they can!
The things, the wonders we can build and fly when we work together. So many thousands of lives, so much sweat and intelligence and effort and imagination. Culminated in this. Thankyou all. This is who we are and what we can do at our best. Lets never forget it.
What a beautiful film - I actually saw the ISS + Shuttle pass over my house in the early hours of this morning too ....a great clear sky and managed to see if for 4 mins just before dawn broke - fantastic!
This is Fantastic! The editing and music are great, but the variety of angles from which this was filmed is Phenomenal!!! I do wish that the descent of the external fuel tank was viewed longer into the Earth's atmosphere; would like to see how it disintegrates.
"But out of the whirlwind came a silent bird from the stars, a symbol of our ability to work with nature, to use our intelligence and within the limitations of our world, to do great things." - David Levy on witnessing the 4th landing of the Space Shuttle Columbia, Page 28, 'Astronomy' magazine October 1982.
This video is very nicely done! The music is very fitting. The shuttle is one of the most amazing machines ever built. I do wish NASA would keep the shuttle program going well into the next decades.
This is remarkable footage, it's crazy how such a video gets less views than some ridiculous and quite frankly pointless videos that can be found on other parts of this site.
Mind blowing. Someone else in the thread said spectacular, but quite frankly words fail. Thank you very much for uploading this. thumbs up and favourited.
I want to see this done to the music for "THE NATURAL." That whole music is suggestive of a launch... Even Star Trek the Motion Picture The only reason they don't do that is copyright. My vids to that music were taken down I suspect for that reason. I had a couple of good ones. Which is why I don't post videos anymore.
One of the coolest shuttle videos I've seen.
RIP Alan Poindexter (STS-131's commander), we'll miss you buddy!
I visited discovery in a museum and i saluted to her for all the astronauts who flew her, including Alan

Awesome! Sad to see them go, glad I saw a few launches in person!
Spectacular video! Superb imaging and editing. Thank you for bringing this to us, and be assured that it's appreciated.
I've seen all this before but you guys did a good job putting it all together... great production.
very spectacular. Launch sequence is obviously the most exciting part of it :)
I`ve never been compelled to comment on anything on youtube but this was stunning. Amazing editing, really clever.

That's remarkable how much it sways around 3:10!
This is perhaps your best video yet!
This video should be released in IMAX format and show before every IMAX film this Summer : )

piękne, beautiful, excellent job
Awesome video! Any chance we could see an entire ride to orbit from the window 4 minicam? That would be cool.
Really puts an entirely new perspective on the Shuttle launches.
QUERO GUARDAR PARA SEMPRE ESTAS IMAGENS COM SAUDADE
Fantastic.

This video is Awesome!!! *****
@VancouverDriver Those are the Tyvek Covers for the RCS jets, not ice or foam. They're designed to fall away at liftoff.
every time I see these pieces of ice flying around the shuttle. I am a little scared
i watched it prime time at spacevidcast.
7:03 can’t see a thing from the recovery of the boosters
Very eerie and creepy
I'd very much like to know what the music was
Excellent video footage, a little crazy on the editing though.
I didn't know he died. How sad.
hello , what is the name of the back ground music
1:45 WOW .imagine the power
nice! :)
how long is this crew going to be in space and what are they doing ?
are you going to keep this file up or take it down like NASATV channel did? I would like to share it with friends, but hate sending out dead links.
