Idk if other people "get" what i mean but i love watching a skilled driver (like clr17) use a car with "not much" horsepower on a track. I love when you can use every drop of horsepower throughout the run. Im re reading what i typed here and i still feel like im not putting to words what im talking about but this video is a great example of what im getting at
Awesome driving skills , honda civic type R always punching way above its weight , most performance enthusiasts will underestimate the civic type R cause it's fwd and only 2.0l 4cylinder turbo, it will be able to beat any hot hatch in the world on the track with same power .
Auvray Cedric Thank you. Good to know. Some are running 0w30 or 5w30 as they believe 0w20 is not thick enough for driving on track. But engine clearances may be tighter on this car. Are you on stock brake pads or another brand?
@@apolloandratti7922 0W20 actually doesn't have any problems in this engine, unllike some BMW engines that need to use LL-01 (mostly 5W40) but with manuals that say 0W30.
@@clr1713 Did you had issues with the cooling or does the injen cooler and oil cooler provide an improvement? The issue I had so far is with the fuel injection (when low fuel volume on a fast lap, the car goes into safety mode).
Nordschleife Type R yes when it was very hot and i Gad the same problem on the Nordschleife started a lap and no more gas thé fuel was too empty and engine cuting

It's both though. The car is the best in it's segment, it outclasses golf by a long margin. It has better suspension, better engine and better weight distribution than Golf and for the price, it's unmatched.

I'm impressed with the cars' performance and handling but, more impressed with the driver. You really have to know the track to drive like that.
