Is there a petition to leave her alone? If doctors want to make sure she is ok, then bring her back to her home in the ocean, that doesn't bother me, but let's let her live her life! She would not be able to enjoy surf life in captivity.

You know what the wildlife officials should try? Leaving her tf alone, in HER home, where she is happy! Then again if they do CAPTURE her, I hope each person responsible ends up having to be examined and involuntarily "rehomed" themselves, so they too can experience how she feels.
I can't understand for the life of me why they are trying to capture it. People swimming in the ocean need to understand the ocean is not Disney Land. You swim at your own risk and no one is liable if you get bit by something.

Here's a solution, carry airhorns or similar to make noises that the otter likely wouldn't like. Use them to drive them off your surf board or whatever if they appear to start munching on it. Or find a wax or coating that would taste foul when bitten.
How would you like it if someone came over to your home with a blow horn and blasted it off every day and night? The otters live in the ocean, humans don't. You're the problem.
This Otter belongs here, it's her home, the woman in this video is just so fussy over this issue, come on lady there are other things in life that are so much concerning like Climate change, Wars, hungry people in poor impoverished countries, gun violence etc. Focus on these issues lady and all those other so called Olympic surfers, stop complaining and if that otter is biting ur precious surfboards go surf elsewhere

Monterey aquarium is very good keeping sea otters safe and cares a lot about the ocean
so they want to capture the otter to experiment on it or kill it. But not the surfers that are trespassing on their natural habitat
