One of my favorite lines from the Sandman is when we see Lucifer on a tropical beach after retiring from Hell and an old man stops by to talk to him. The man talks about how he's lost everything in his life. One of his twin sons died in Vietnam. Then he and the other twin got in a car crash where only he survived. And then years later his wife died from cancer. And on top of that his leg hurts all the time. But when he comes down to look at the sunset, as he used to do with his wife before she passed away, he thinks to himself that if God can create something as beautiful as the setting sun, and a different one every night at that, then he has to respect him for that at the very least. After the man leaves, Lucifer smiles and says: "All right, I admit it. He's got a point. The sunsets are bloody marvelous, you old bastard. Satisfied?"

Especially considering Gabriel is quite weak for an Arch Angel and has never displayed any reality warping powers where as Lucifer has shown it countless of times. After all Lucifer has God's infinite Will and can shape reality at a whim. Not once has Gabriel shown to be capable of the same and it's generally accepted that it was Mainly Michael and Lucifer that created the Multiverse and Gabriel refined it e.g Life forms. That comic where it says "Lucifer has not made a Universe before" is a contradiction. He's just never made a Creation with life in it himself. Yet in that same comic we see Lucifer bringing Time into existence under his own power, creating planets with life etc. This is why I say these comics contradicts itself a lot. There's absolutely nothing that Doomslayer could ever do to ever actually hurt him, Lucifer might toy with him for a bit but will quickly grow bored and then just either destroy him, send him far away into some other random unstable Dimension outside of the Multiverse or even just will him out of Existence with a thought, all of Time and Space and the Multiverse, as if he never existed at all.

Go for Sandman, pretty please! Way back in the 90's, it was not only my introduction to comics, but the story that saved my life. I could not become a teen suicide statistic, because I had to see how Neil Gaiman's brilliant, beautiful, and touching story would end. Thank you Neil, for giving me a reason to hang on and live. Life's turned out to be a pretty neat thing, and I'm glad I didn't miss it!
I would definitely like to learn more about the Presense, given he is very likely going to appear in the 5th season of Lucifer. At least, I think that'd be a safe bet, especially if the 5th season ends up being the last season (though I've heard talk that there could be many many more).

The wolf was Fenris, a deity and embodiment of entropy - likely allowed to flourish due to Destruction of the Endless having abandoned his duties and role. Lucifer, meanwhile, was in a heavily weakened state, having just faced off against, and killed, his brother Michael at the roots of the world tree, Yggsrasil; reaching the tree had taken a fair toll on both Lucifer and Michael already too, and for that matter on Elaine as well. Finally, Creation was already under threat of falling apart at this point, with the Presence/Yahweh having abdicated his throne. All in all, Lucifer wasn't at his most powerful to say the least, whereas the wolf was at his absolute prime. And Lucifer still won.
Lucifer was weakened by his travel to Yggdrasil. When they really fought later Lucifer, even with just his spare power that he stored after god left, easily defeated Fenris (after he got close enough)
Like Others said Lucifer was extremely weakened. The Presence left creation throwing everything out of order which also effects Lucifer and Michael's powers and the trip to reach Yggdrassil was even more taxing on the power they had left. He was still powerful enough to kill Fenris, in reality he was toying with him until he got serious and ended him. He still manages to Tank the Dunamis Demiurge which is Gods Power and Energy and can literally destroy all of creation easily e.g. The entire Multiverse. He syphons that power into Elaine though. He did all that while he was a shadow of his former powerful self. That's enough to tell you just how powerful he is
It seems to me that the concept of the antiquity of ancient gods returning to the modern world explains itself way more better than that God is Dead comic that I previously read back then.

I never once even before the show thought the devil was evil. I always saw him as the one to stand up against his father because his father was manipulating his own creation. God being the "evil" of the two. But then again I don't really believe in God or the devil this realization came to me when I was little.

Especially considering Gabriel is quite weak for an Arch Angel and has never displayed any reality warping powers where as Lucifer has shown it countless of times. After all Lucifer has God's infinite Will and can shape reality at a whim. Not once has Gabriel shown to be capable of the same and it's generally accepted that it was Mainly Michael and Lucifer that created the Multiverse and Gabriel refined it e.g Life forms. That comic where it says "Lucifer has not made a Universe before" is a contradiction. He's just never made a Creation with life in it himself. Yet in that same comic we see Lucifer bringing Time into existence under his own power, creating planets with life etc. This is why I say these comics contradicts itself a lot. Gabriel never showed any reality warping abilities whatsoever. He isn't even a quarter of the Arch Angel that Lucifer is, especially when he lost his wings he fell into a drunken depression where as Lucifer was still killing Gods when he lost his wings

I dislike it. I want to see Lucifer on a vacation, but exploring the endless, heaven, hell, and all the multiverse is like going on a epic journey. Maybe having to show the presence showing what is outside that plane of existence which is outside heaven (heaven and earth literally meant universe in this case omniverse in DC) and hell as in outerverse to Lucifer .

I could not become a teen suicide statistic, because I had to see how Neil Gaiman's brilliant, beautiful, and touching story would end. Thank you Neil, for giving me a reason to hang on and live. After watching Lucifer, some of the details from here are kind of funny to me. Like the scar across lucifers face is now on his twin brother micheal.

It doesn’t make sense how Lucifer is a creator the universe and ruler of hell but gets beat up by a wolf
The wolf was Fenris, a deity and embodiment of entropy - likely allowed to flourish due to Destruction of the Endless having abandoned his duties and role.
Lucifer, meanwhile, was in a heavily weakened state, having just faced off against, and killed, his brother Michael at the roots of the world tree, Yggsrasil; reaching the tree had taken a fair toll on both Lucifer and Michael already too, and for that matter on Elaine as well.
Finally, Creation was already under threat of falling apart at this point, with the Presence/Yahweh having abdicated his throne.
All in all, Lucifer wasn't at his most powerful to say the least, whereas the wolf was at his absolute prime. And Lucifer still won.
And this is the same wolf that in Norse myth was destined to kill Odin.
Lucifer was weakened by his travel to Yggdrasil. When they really fought later Lucifer, even with just his spare power that he stored after god left, easily defeated Fenris (after he got close enough)
Like Others said Lucifer was extremely weakened. The Presence left creation throwing everything out of order which also effects Lucifer and Michael's powers and the trip to reach Yggdrassil was even more taxing on the power they had left. He was still powerful enough to kill Fenris, in reality he was toying with him until he got serious and ended him. He still manages to Tank the Dunamis Demiurge which is Gods Power and Energy and can literally destroy all of creation easily e.g. The entire Multiverse. He syphons that power into Elaine though. He did all that while he was a shadow of his former powerful self. That's enough to tell you just how powerful he is

It seems to me that the concept of the antiquity of ancient gods returning to the modern world explains itself way more better than that God is Dead comic that I previously read back then.

I never once even before the show thought the devil was evil. I always saw him as the one to stand up against his father because his father was manipulating his own creation. God being the "evil" of the two. But then again I don't really believe in God or the devil this realization came to me when I was little.
Also the devil punishes evil in hell, so if he was evil why punish evil??
