Got mine before the covid hit around February. They make a wide difference compared to stock! Got mine in yellow tho! One of the best upgrades for fogs! The oems look so cheaply made o.O
Wow, those things are waaaaay better than stock. I need to get me some of those, our street lights out here suck. I could totally use the increase in visibility. Thanks for another great, informative video 😎🙌
I got the pro version. Man I can’t tell you how good they are. I heard people saying I can’t drive with out them now. I was like lmao . I’m one of those guys now.. lmao
...bright is only half of the equation...it's also how the light is focused too. Bright is nice, but if it is focused poorly, then all it does is create a hot mess, especially for on-coming traffic.
Thanks for the video. I'm adding fogs to my base wrx and was deciding between just using katanas in some factory housings or the ss3's. This makes the decision a little easier.
For those map lights, if you cut out the recessed area on that grey piece the interior light becomes 100% Brighter. I did it when I swapped out the OEM bulbs for LEDs and would definitely recommend if you want more light. Great install man!!
Are there better fog lights at a higher price point for WRx/STi? I haven’t seen any myself. I’m trying to decide what fog lights to go with for my 2017 STi. Also trying to decide if I want the yellow or white ss3.
The SS3 fogs are definitely one of the best higher tier options! Personally, I like the white because they match the headlights. They have multiple options for the strength of beam but I highly recommend getting the "driving" versions, not the "fogs" because the driving versions have a hard cutoff on the top of the beam and won't blind other drivers
@@WRXGarage the fogs have a lower and wider cutoff. The driving is more for putting light straight down the road in a less wide band. I would be going with the Sport SAE Fog in these but I can’t decide between white or yellow. I have a world rally blue STi
Katana LEDs on Amazon. Best bang for your buck LEDs in my opinion. Match the color temp of the new fogs perfectly too! I talk about them for a while about halfway through the video
No problem! Before the new diode dynamics fog lights, I was using the Katana LEDs for my highs, lows, and fogs. My C lights are morimoto, which is why they're a slightly different color temperature
@@WRXGarage Wrong again guy. Top of your fog cutoff should be 4" below the center of your fog lamp AT 25ft. You can get away with 2" probably, but its not meant to integrate with your headlights...they're fog lights for a reason.
Not necessarily. If your only definition of "fog light" is a light to be used in fog... Then sure. Mine are setup to be effective at light output when driving no matter the weather condition! In the last 5 years of my life I've driven in heavy fog maybe 3 times.
@@WRXGarage Wrong, my guy. It's simple geometry. The way you aimed your fogs will rise in distance. The top cut off on the beam of the fog lights should be 4" below the height of the fog light location in your bumper. anything higher will rise over distance blinding oncoming drivers. it doesn't help that most subie owners like to slam their rides and buy fogs because the fogs fall off directly in front of their bumper. Fogs should illuminate the ground below the headlight beams which is the proper and most effective way to drive in the fog/snow/rain/dust
...the only way to fix the aim is to add washers to the top mounting holes...yes? I see no other way to adjust the fogs. Is it also possible to mount the lights upside down?
Y’all subscribe to these guys they are honest have good installs and cool guys!! HIT THAT NOTIFICATION BELL

Crazy upgrade in output, might have to get me a pair of these for late night mountain drives.
Agree. Installed mine 2 months ago.
Amazing 👍🏾
Those fog lights are nuts! Good video

This is the definitive fog light to get. Amazing how (legally) bright they are the street. Wish I could install these on my Lexus 😔

We’ll that settles that, def getting these in future - thanks for sharing your insights

Katanas or other leds in the factory housing are also a pretty good option! Much better than stock halogens.
where did you find the bezels?
@@Mk7Albert You can purchase the factory fog bezels for the premium/limited from any Subaru parts dealer or go aftermarket like from subispeed.
Literally just got these from them. Awesome vid too!

Which grey piece are you referring to?
Kevs....did you ever try the osram fog breaker bulbs? Yes, still halogen, but designed, color wise, for fog.
I'm ordering those as well.. you ever decide to change the colors of your gauge cluster or hvac lights?
Baja Designs Squadron Sport Ambers FTW
Are your low beams in the oem reflector housing?
I been looking for the size of the visor lights with no luck I got 2021 wrx
The visor lights are 5050-size led!
Can you post the links to everything you bought for this setup?
The only thing you need is the link in the description! Nothing else.

Yes! My apologies, I mixed the two up. I'd suggest the fogs, not the driving option.
love my yellow PROs. Curious.. what front lip are you running?
It's just a cheap eBay lip 😂. Hopefully switching to something new soon!
matt do you have any videos for your yellow pro ss3?cause im planning to get the pro than the sports
@@wasonbandong7180 not a video but I have pictures on my Instagram @mkey15
matt key i just bought my pro ss3 too..i just followed u bro
What did you use for you drl/high low beams?
Katana LEDs on Amazon. Best bang for your buck LEDs in my opinion. Match the color temp of the new fogs perfectly too! I talk about them for a while about halfway through the video
Thought that's what was used on the fogs, sont think you mentioned using them in your DRL'S but if you did I apologize. Thanks for the great content

Cool, thank's for taken the time to respond. Cheers
What bulbs do you use a low beam bulb led?
Katana LEDs for everything! Best bang for your buck off Amazon. Tested on bulbfacts.com
Do they fit an Outback or Forester?
They have specific models for those cars yeah!
@@WRXGarage thanks!! I’ll check it
Are these the sport or pro's?
Sport!
Those are aimed WAY wrong.
They're matched exactly 1" below the cutoff line of the low beams, measured at 10 feet from the front bumper, which is the industry standard! :)

Does the colour temp match the OEM LED headlights?
Im not sure because I've never had the oem headlights. They are pretty much spot on 6000k though.
