As someone who also uses the DJI mic. 2 for interviews and walking shots, It is a game changer. That 32-bit float is so flexible and as a solo shooter it relieves ome stress from having to deal with audio levels
You probably figured it out by now but, the main benefit of connecting the DJI mic with the adapter is that you can bring up the 16bit to 24 bit, successfully increasing the sound quality. Also, for slightly a few more bucks, Deity lav mics are way better than Rode’s and water resistant. Great video though.
Try that new G300 next time! I’ve had similar issues with my G200 facing windows (even with tint). My next purchases are basically the G300, B500, and the Spotlight SE.
Hey are your consultation calls up and running yet, I remember you mentioned starting it in one of you other videos! I would love to chat with you about your work and hear your advice on what I do in the filmmaking world. I am learning how to scale and would love your get you advice!!!
You said you didn’t like the atoms Shinobi cause of the colour contrast/accuracy. I’ve had lots of experience with atoms monitors. Shooting mainly corporate interviews and corporate sports with them. Can you tell me why you wouldn’t recommend them?cause I have thought of buying one myself. Cause of the experience I’ve had with them. I do know they take a few seconds to turn on/off. What brands would you recommend me buying? That doesn’t cost a small mortgage. Loving these vlogs keep it up Jared 🔥🔥
Ive got a few issues with it, kills me there is no grid option on it. Luts always seem way off and the startup time is kind of long. I do love the size and weight, plus the 4k is crispy
@ I do also love the size and weight of it even with the cage attached. I have noticed the Luts are very contrast high, maybe I have used a later model or could be a firmware update but I did notice there was a very dull black grid in the one I used.
@@JanWilliamsBailey Yes the Slog3 LUT was /is way too contrasty , luckily now the fx3 has Cine EI / Flexible ISO Slog modes ,and Rec709 LUTs in the camera , so don't have to use the Atmos ones , saved the day .
@@robinprobyn1971 I used the monitor with the C70, and I only used a Sony camera once at film school. But yes I did find the LUTs very constant heavy even with just the Rec709.
I heard you talking about the atoms Shinobi monitor and not liking the colors. I bought version 2 and I thought it was just me… is there anyway to adjust it? I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. It’s soooo dark compared to what’s on the actual camera
Do you just get hired by other People too film and not edit. Or du you shoot and edit for your own clients? It feels like you just get hired by other people to film. How did you start taking jobs from others?
I don’t know how you film yourself while your on the job is Awesome 👏🏾.
Haha the osmo makes it easy, set it and forget it
Love your stuff. Since I’m in the same position trying to build my company, it feels like we going though this together 🙌🤜🏻🤛🏻
Love that!
Gotta love picking up new gear - another productive week, looking forward to seeing the results from that spotlight mount!
Yeah! I'm stoked to see what it can do for some of my shots. Hopefully I can post results soon!
uploaded one minute ago! wow, first time for me! I'll continue to watch the video, thanks for sharing all this
Thanks for checking it out!
Nice work bro! Love that clip of the actual footage to showcase the work being done, sounded great also
Appreciate that, the audio really does make or break it haha I think the new mic setup was a good upgrade
Thanks Jared! Your vlogs are very inspiring and helpful to me.
Glad to hear it! Appreciate you watching!
Good job mate!
would love some content where u show us how u edit, grade
Might can make that happen

Totally agree! It's a must-have for the flexibility it provides.
Man this is actually really good
Keep doing these, i can see you blowing up
Thanks, appreciate it!
You can also mount a vmount under the camera plate on the dji gimbal 😁 I usually have a 99wh connected to my gimbal
Heard!! May do this

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check out the Deity mics! I actually didn’t know it was going from 16->24!
@ happy to help 😊. Thank you for inspiring.

100% will! cant wait to field test it!
If you ever make it to here in Vegas for NFR, I would love to capture video BTS for you.
For sure! That would be sick!

They should be coming very soon!
Amazing I so look forward to it 🎉😊
The raised shutter should be ok because there will not be that much motion in a sitting shot🤷🏿.
If it was my own client, I agree…I didn’t wanna send it to the person who hired me and have them be upset.
@ gotcha.

Who is doing all that editing!!!
Personally, I LOVE the look of 1/320. Idk, I guess I don't like the natural motion blur that 1/50 gives
I dont hate it either!
As a Dallas native who hasn't been in the States for the last 6 years.............this looks ALOT like Dallas lol
It is! 🤣
I was just thinking the shinobi has horrible color/contrast as you mentioned it XD
Yeah idk what the issue is
What’s the platform you use to find jobs called ?
Bark and Production Hub
Your gimbal setup isn't jank.
I run the exact same setup on my rs2 pro with two top handles as my side grips and the Lumix s5iix.
Haha, yeah! It gets the job done.
@lensofjared 100%

Look into some -2 monitoring LUTs
Cover the DJI magnet with your own logo print a label, or use black electrical tape
I’ll try that out on the next one!
its the LUTS your using, Atomos is top tier.
huh interesting, I couldnt manage to get mine accurate, no matter what LUTs I used. Apparently it's a common issue with these monitors as well
I did notice when i switched to a -2 monitoring lut, it was far more accurate.
We aren’t gonna talk about the gas prices? 2.45??
Haha I know, it’s crazy right now!
