NERF War at The Battle for Waterloo Gel Ball Field!

- In this video I use a Nexus Pro dart blaster at a NERF War held at The Battle for Waterloo gel blaster field in South Australia. Following the banning of gel blasters by our police force, a few gel ball fields have started hosting NERF events instead.
The blaster I was using had the stock spring with the larger of BlasterTECH's spring spacers installed.

a flywheel blaster seems like a disadvantage in these kinds of fights...lets the enemy know where you are. I high powered springer like the Nexus or Aeon is a good option.

I've had discussions with my nerf club before. A flywheeler performs best if you play defensively instead of aggressively.
It’s really surprising because on the internet you always here about how things like the strife and the rapidstrike are the best blasters and that springers are for “peasants”.

@@Juan-nz1gu in the long run if you don’t use rechargeable batteries flywheel guns would end up being way more expensive than a springer. Also flywheel guns require more pre-game maintenance than a springer because you have to check your batteries to make surely they aren’t about to die
Well, I guess that's one positive about all this riff raff, places that might not do nerf are hosting these now.

it's because rival blasters don't look like real guns down the every minor detail. if gelball blasters had ALWAYS looked like nerf, they never would have been banned.

@@FirelordRob76 South Australia has no appearance laws. You are allowed to have a bolt action which looks identical to an ar15 as an example

Really hope you manage to clear the restriction on gel blasters and work towards better laws here in Victoria as well.
Aussie gun laws are so dumb. Just because it looks like a damn gun doesn’t mean it’s a real gun.
This type of thing makes me happy I'm American. Sure guns cause problems but when the government starts restricting toys that's dumb
You don't need to be American to live in a country that doesn't restrict toys. You can live virtually anywhere EXCEPT Australia and a small handful of authoritarian countries. Even our neighbour New Zealand is fine.
I'd still rather live in Australia than America. The quality of life is far better and I'll take that over a couple more freedoms. Like, Bali in Indonesia has very relaxed laws, but it's not a good place to live. Same with America.

I see you’re using the newer banana talon mags, how do they perform compared to the regular straight ones?
I was borrowing those, they performed great and I ordered my own. Can fit 19 darts in them, 20 is a bit too tight. I think I will only need 4 of them total.

Is the Nexus (plus eventual mods (worker metal mod parts 1 & 2 and a Teflon spring) ) worth it? Also I was looking on blastertech and I can't get the price in AUD (like it allows me to select currency but AUD isn't an option)

Any tips on zeroing a scope? My darts like to go off to the right but I can’t adjust my scope any further right. I also had to add something under the rear mount because of height over bore issues.
Guessing your barrel isn't straight if the darts are going right. I'd try solving that.
Awesome field - thing is huge!! be fun to play with more people and some modified rules but still -looks really fun!! Too bad its on the other side of the planet otherwise id join in fray :)

I have a Nexus Pro with a upgraded Turf spring, no barrel mods... What were you hitting for FPS?

Hello, I'm guessing the spring spacer you used was the 30mm spacer. Do you know how far it can shoot?
Distance is probably around 40m total. It's only a 200fps blaster.

Wait, the spacer you used. Was it a 30mm spacer from BlasterTech or is it a 20mm spacer. From one of your older videos someone used a 20mm spacer and got about 180fps

You can buy picatanny fail ones off amazon
I would recommend just a dirt cheap simple airsoft red dot because magnified scopes don’t really work well with nerf. Just like a 15 dollar red dot off of Amazon would work

This is correct, in fact basically I've never really used full lengths except in one flywheel blaster before half length was common for those.
How do you find your darts after you shoot them?

Just a Runcam 2. Do a search for Runcam Scope Cam and you'll find the newer version.

Don't have the max mod yet, just using it on Linear. Actually don't know whether to even get max mod, the FoV isn't too bad

Dam this makes me sad. Wasn’t Waterloo packed with people most weekends? Now it’s a 4 v 4 nerf?
I imagine as more people hear about it or more people actually get a Nerf blaster then more will come. We had 12 or so at peak on Sunday. And yeah usually with gel ball it would be 80 or so people.
Waterloo was our home ground for our Gelsoft team, been playing there before the back field, the one in the video, was even made. Most weekends there would be 140+ people. Miss it.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT tbh I wouldn't get into nerf if QLD went the same way. Not a fan of picking up darts, the fully manual function of them after each shot etc.

Hey guys i need some help here. So I myself have never nerfed. Growing up my parents worked to give me what I needed not what I wanted. So I never had nerf, I always wanted nerf. Grew up and just forgot bout it. Well my wife started a party rental business. Waterslides, tables and chairs. But I wanted to add mobile nerf wars to it. But idk what guns would b good. I already purchased 10 guns, 2 of each. These r the guns I purchased, nerf fortnite dg 15 dart rotating drum, nerf rex Rampage motorized, nerf rough cut 2x4, x shot omega royale mini gun (theses dart get jammed in the rex rampage) and finally the dart zone magnum d2 superdrum blaster. I purchased 2 of each. The smallest capacity is the rough cut, as it only holds 8 darts and shoots 2 at a time, easy reload tho. Now i was thinking of buying guns w large drums for more ammo. I'd rather go that route w o having to mod any gun rn. These r the guns I'm considering. Nerf elite motoblitz 2.0, nerf elite 2.0 flipshot 32, world tech warrior prime motorized rapid fire dart blaster, x shot excel crusher blaster, motorized d dart pro blaster, adventure force scorpion w the rotating barrel, dart zone motorized volcanator, adventure force v twin chain fed mini gun. I want 10 total guns, 2 of each. Now idk what size of darts any of these use yet. My question is, do I need more regular guns than mini gun style guns? And if so what would y'all recommend? I'm thinking another 10 guns, 2 of each. Keep in mind I want them to b universal when it comes to the darts. So nerf elite dart size is what I'm exclusively using.

...I bought a Prophecy Honeybadger Power Pack....220fps and can shoot a straight 37 metres. I'm impressed but it was a lot of fiddling putting it together. The Nexus and Ceda make a lot of sense. Though Ceda is hard to get.
