Nice and I like your upgrades and explanations. Looking at one of these over a smaller one and I like the addational flexability and apparent safety of the worm drive for the engine I want to mount.
    Thanks!

It seems like all engine stands made these days only have four arms to bolt to the engine block. If they had four more smaller ones, shaped like the ones that come with the stand you could have a much easier time to fit the stand to ANY engine. The original ones should just be straight with the smaller ones doing all the pivoting. There are some engines that you just barely can mount and at the least you can't balance the engine so it is easy to crank or pivot the engine around. All Harbor Freight engine stands are designed wrong. The best one I ever used was a Ford Rotunda stand 54 years ago. I build stands like that one and modify my other stands to work better.

Might have to pick one of these up for my dealer. Our engine stands are getting a bit tired.

I was really surprised how nice it was. They’ve also come do in price since I bought this one. All those 274 piston/engine jobs wear out engine stands real fast 😂

Awesome review. Can’t go wrong with Benz hardware.

Make a video of improving it. Sleeve the base and replace the tube and make a handle.

Now you’re actively trying to get me to mot work on my project cars?

Get rid of those stupid castor wheels on the end that will be below the water pump when an engine is installed. Unsteerable ones will allow you to steer the stand around MUCH EASIER in your shop. Works better without an engine mounted too since you always have something to hang on to.

What size type engine is this?

Pretty nice ! Well, our 2012 Mercedes ml63 AMG needs a new starter. We HATE to pull the motor to get at the starter, yes, motor out ! 17 hr job, dammit. Hand built beautiful m157 motor, must be removed to get starter out, insane !

I don’t know who told you that you need to pull the motor out for that, but it’s not true.

Probably an informative video the random clicking muzak makes this unwatchable.

The music I originally had on there got replaced. Thanks for the heads up!
