I've never received physical affection or really any physical attention from any parent figure in my life. I hadn't hugged someone until I was like 20. Never held my mom's hand so it's very possible that she had never experienced it and genuinely thought she needed help. My mom went to get the car so we could wait in the shade. While she was gone, some random woman came up to us and asked if we wanted to participate in a scavenger hunt. Luckily, we both knew about stranger danger (my friend’s dad was even a cop), so we politely declined and I explained that we were waiting for my mom to return with the car. Upon realizing that we had a chaperone, she booked it, and, by the time my mom returned less than a minute later, she had disappeared.
Whats truly terrifying, is so, so many people have had experiences just like this. My grandad was a smoker when he was alive. Keep it mind that he started smoking when he was around 20 or so (in the 1940's -50's) which was way before they knew that smoking was bad for you. And it's not easy to just give it up, because of how addictive the nicotine is.

i live in an apartment with my mom, im 14. We have a neighbor who lives right infront of us, we are on the top floor (which doesnt matter, just for perspective) our neighbor, we will just call "W", is a nice lady but she definitely keeps conversations with my mom going even when my mom doesnt want to keep talking. My mom has some rules when she leaves home, she doesnt want me to open the door for anyone obviously and she doesnt want me to let anyone into the premises of the apartment complex through the buzzer if it isn't her. W needs a charger, and because of the rules, I can't open the door for her, so I give her the charger through the letter box which I guess she thought was weird. We strongly believe W thinks my mom kidnapped me because me and my mom apparently don't look alike. It's very funny but it is a little weird. During a conversation, I was brought into it and I don't remember full details, but I do know that W insisted we don't look alike at all. Also, my mom's hair is dyed red and I decided I wanted my hair red too. I think W thought it was a pathetic way to make me look more like my mom lol. I love telling people about this.

During quarantine I developed really bad social anxiety to the point where if I was out of the house for longer than half an hour I'd start getting a panic attack. I have a wonderful therapist who helped me through this and I'm much better now, but when I was going through that I had to be touching my dad at all times in order to feel safe. Hell, I even yelled at him for going to another aisle at the bookstore. There's another *super* simple and common reason why he's holding her hand:he doesn't want her to get lost??? little kids oftentimes run away without supervision so holding hands is a great way to keep track of them while doing whatever you need to. The fact that this woman just.... didn't even think about that? The girl would NOT have known hand signs at that age, she would have not KNOWN to learn them at that age. I am always aware of people around me, and how close they are to me if they are behind me. If I hear their footsteps get slightly louder, I speed walk outa there. I am always listening to other peoples random conversations. I do not mean to, but I was taught 2 things. Knowledge is power, and rely on no one. I don’t feel safe without a knife, and not knowing everything that’s going on around me. I also try not to talk to anyone, unless it’s like a hello or something. I am very protective of myself am always suspicious of people. If someone touches me once, I tell them politely to back off. If they have a nice tone, I politely tell them I’m fine and I go away. If they insist, I pull my knife. Most times I carry 2, just in case there’s multiple people or it gets ugly. If you feel unsafe or threatened, I suggest a small pocket knife. Chances are you won’t use it, but who knows? It might save you one day.

In a healthy relationship, you are supposed to help each other be better people. No, I think it's actually good strat to support someone that wants to quit smoking but "secretly". You have to make the impression that smoking people are complete half-heads and then when the other person realizes it, they will want to do it in reverse (because it's always nice to do everything upside down to irritate idiots). My grandad was a smoker when he was alive. Keep it mind that he started smoking when he was around 20 or so (in the 1940's -50's) which was way before they knew that smoking was bad for you. And it's not easy to just give it up, because of how addictive the nicotine is.

i live in an apartment with my mom, im 14. We have a neighbor who lives right infront of us, we are on the top floor (which doesnt matter, just for perspective) our neighbor, we will just call "W", is a nice lady but she definitely keeps conversations with my mom going even when my mom doesnt want to keep talking. My mom has some rules when she leaves home, she doesnt want me to open the door for anyone obviously and she doesnt want me to let anyone into the premises of the apartment complex through the buzzer if it isn't her. W needs a charger, and because of the rules, I can't open the door for her, so I give her the charger through the letter box which I guess she thought was weird.
We strongly believe W thinks my mom kidnapped me because me and my mom apparently don't look alike. It's very funny but it is a little weird. During a conversation, I was brought into it and I don't remember full details, but I do know that W insisted we don't look alike at all. Also, my mom's hair is dyed red and I decided I wanted my hair red too. I think W thought it was a pathetic way to make me look more like my mom lol. I love telling people about this.

During quarantine I developed really bad social anxiety to the point where if I was out of the house for longer than half an hour I'd start getting a panic attack. I have a wonderful therapist who helped me through this and I'm much better now, but when I was going through that I had to be touching my dad at all times in order to feel safe. Hell, I even yelled at him for going to another aisle at the bookstore. There's another *super* simple and common reason why he's holding her hand:he doesn't want her to get lost???

I carry it around sometimes in my house, and when I go on my walks around my neighborhood I always grip it. I am always ready for something to happen, and that’s all I think about. I am always aware of people around me, and how close they are to me if they are behind me. If I hear their footsteps get slightly louder, I speed walk outa there. I am always listening to other peoples random conversations. I do not mean to, but I was taught 2 things. Knowledge is power, and rely on no one. I don’t feel safe without a knife, and not knowing everything that’s going on around me. I also try not to talk to anyone, unless it’s like a hello or something. I am very protective of myself am always suspicious of people. If someone touches me once, I tell them politely to back off. If they have a nice tone, I politely tell them I’m fine and I go away. If they insist, I pull my knife. Most times I carry 2, just in case there’s multiple people or it gets ugly. If you feel unsafe or threatened, I suggest a small pocket knife. Chances are you won’t use it, but who knows? It might save you one day.

No, I think it's actually good strat to support someone that wants to quit smoking but "secretly".
