Hey, thanks for sharing! I have the same problem and it is really annoying. Had no clue that anything like DeoxIT exists, ordered one right away - hopefully it will fix the issue.
@@YeahThatPerson to be honest I had low expectations. I applied it sort of in a rush before my commute to work. To my surprise the motor didn't disconnect even once since that procedure, and I'm not taking it easy on the board - riding on cobblestone, dropping of curbs and so on - none of that caused the motor to disconnect. So once again - thanks a lot for the tip!
Does your board still working well? I had the same issue yesterday. The board stopped moving when I still had 50% battery on it. I had to walk home 50 blocks, not fun! 😠
I'm having this exact issue, working for a few minutes then one side will stop (then after turning off and on again, will work again for a few minutes). Going to buy a can and see if it stops the issue, thanks
I'm a little late responding to this video since it is now 3 years old at this point, but just curious how you got the boosted board logo on the esc to be orange? Did you paint it or something?
My battery XR which is brand new 2 days old turned yellow with the 3 lights which means connecting issues, others say this will help but how will it work exactly? Is the pins dry?
yes! the mileage seems to not matter. in perspective, i have close to 6k miles on my v2. boosted has replaced the motors and the motor controller a few times. Eventually i need to put DeoxIT on all of them, some sooner, some later. It is under $10 and will save you waiting in repair line and being without a board
I'm having that issues as we speak . Looking around for answers mine has a 56% battery life and when I turn my board on and use the remote to spin the wheels s it goes fast then slows down until it can't spin anymore and then battery only when down to 54% till having battery life idk . What's going on red flashing light comes on
And honestly I don't own a boosted board but I do keep up on there stuff and I do help out some poeple with there board believe it or not, I believe boosted has the quality, but if you can, can you explain why alot of them are experiencing that
Honestly, i don't know. My guess based on everything I see is, the v3 lineup is hot af and in demand. In such demand that it overwhelmed boosted and took time to get production up to speed. That and what possibly appears to be a batch of motors slipping in, now has support overwhelmed. Boosted is awesome and experiencing growing pains. If we can all try and be patient, it will be all good. Boosted will take care of us, they are just getting caught up
Hi :) I'm having the same issue. Do you think the spraycan version of anti ox will work? My (disconnected motor) used to be able to start if i slowly turned up the speed nob on the controller, but lately it hasn't been able to start. Anybody else had this problem and know if it is a motor or a connection problem?
This should work however I'm not familiar with the spray can version. But the boosted service center the red brush on liquid is what was used. As a best practice here in Seattle We all just put deoxit on all of our motor and battery connections to prevent any connection issues. But as long as the spray stuff does the same it should work spray it on plug it in unplug it, repeat that a few times and then give it one good plug in and reassemble and you should be good to go
I have a question, and I'm that dude with the longboard on Instagram wassup by the way, why are allot of boosted boards even the new models experiencing clicking within the first 50 to 100 miles

I used posca paint pens to fill the color
Thank u for this. Hope it works!
Did it work?

It's an anti-corrosive cleaner and protector. So it will clean anything that's on the connectors and prevent it from corroding in the future
Would you recommend using deoxit as a preventative measure for the battery connection or is it best to not mess with it if it’s working?
I do personally use it as preventative! So definitely
Great tip! My boosted stealth is doing the same exact thing. But I only have 100 miles on it. Is the deoxit still worth a shot?
