You can plug in the VGA cable to your PC and attach a HDMI Cable to the converter and then to your Television , afterwards change the TV Input to HDMI and then you can surely use your Television as your PC Monitor.

So, if I get the product you are showing me, I can connect the vsa mal to my one laptop, the other hdmi male to the HDMI Switch. I am running HDMI cable from the swich to my ONE computer monitor. So, now both my computers are connected to the switch. Therefore, when I am working with both computer, I can switch to display in my monitor by simply clicking the switch button on the switch. I have not hooked them yet. This is what I am hoping to get it done. Please advise? Thanks!

You have to connect the audio cable that came with adapter to the AUDIO OUT (or headphone out) port of the pc.
