If it has a dvi port you can use an hdmi to dvi cable, just make sure it is the right type of dvi

I got the exact same useless cable in Nigeria for A thousand Naira, same cable design and all, and I kept suspecting what you just said about the difference between the digital and analog signals, and true to reality it never worked- whoever is producing this stuff, they need to be called out. Thank you for this video.

thought the pc's vga cable didnt work so i had to pop open the pc to check out the problem

But few of these products contains actual working IC at the VGA end. Some of the high end ones have these ICs to process the signal
The ones having an IC is called an adapter. Please share the link to one such product. I will check it out.

Hi the adapter provides audio?
Im connecting my TV vga to laptop vga. But there's no audio so I put audio jack in the to tv from laptop. Because my TV has speakers. But a regular monitor doesn't have speakers.
Ideally, it should. But I haven't tried it as I do not have a monitor with speakers.

Nope. There is a separate adapter for that purpose.

The laptop has an output port for HDMI/VGA. So, you will not be able to use your laptop as a monitor.

The adapter heats but it never lagged in my case. Unfortunately, I have not personally tried any other adapter.

Don't connect it to your motherboard, connect it directly to graphic card port.

Depending on your system's HDMI port, you can get a maximum of 60fps with the adapter.
What about heating issues? And what about zebronics HAV01 adapter can I go for it?
It heats up a little on pronged use but nothing serious. You can definitely go with Zebronics HAV01.

One question if you use this what type of display would it use though vga or HDMI?
HDMI should be present on the computer and VGA should be present on the monitor.

Please tell me about your laptop model. It will connect to the GPU only if the HDMI port is routed through the GPU inside the motherboard.

So, I tried connecting my laptop (ASUS FX503VD from 2017) to my TV via the HDMI port. Apparantly, my laptop was using the Integrated Graphics to drive the television as well. depositfiles.com/files/tl03wori2
So, unless your laptop has a MUX switch, it will use integrated graphics for display and dedicated graphics card for other tasks.
My laptop has HDMI out and VGA out. I am using two screens, one on HDMI and the other on VGA but the laptop screen goes off. How do I get the laptop screen to display as well?
Change the settings into extend the screen.

@@AVI6389 did you use TV as your screen? Because when I use tv as my screen somehow some options not shown. But when I use PC monitor, all options available.

It might be possible that the HDMI to VGA adapter that you were using earlier broke down. Try replacing the HDMI to VGA adapter with a new one.
Hi , I connected it but my monitor says "going to sleep" imediatly when the adaptator is connected to the vga cable . It goes to sleep even if I don't plug it into my xbox . I think there are monitors that are not compatible with this adaptator . I just bought the monitor . Please help me . (Same if I trybit with my HP Pc) .

After that , I bought an hdmi to vga cable and it's perfectly working . I don't know why it doesn't work for anyone else . I believe that the adaptater actually works and probably would have worked for me if I had replaced it . And thanks for your answer .

@@bubbles5611 You need to make sure that you are connecting the output port of your device to the monitor. Also, there are two types of adapters. One is for converting HDMI to VGA and the other one is for converting VGA to HDMI.
So, you need to make sure that you are using the correct ports and adapters.

Press Windows + P and then select your preferred option.
What if laptops hdmi port is not working
You can look out for VGA ports on your laptop. If there are none, then you can try this USB to HDMI adapter (amzn.to/3Pm31bd ).
Note: I have never used such adapters so I cannot guarantee that it will work.

You can return the cable back if possible. If not, then the cable is sturdy enough to be used as a rope.

doesn't work I bought one and out of the box it doesn't work lol. I have an old dell desktop PC and it only has VGA and my TV has HDMI I tried connecting them using this adapter and it didn't display anything... the VGA cable is fine and works with VGA ports but not on the adapter.

That's not a scam, the black cable you are using works to convert VGA to HDMI and not HDMI to VGA.
I will try to check this. I cannot check it right now as I do not have any device giving a VGA Output.
