I agree people are leaving florida due to escalating home owner insurance prices and property taxes yet Clearwater is still packed . Im there often so not sure how you come to this conclusion .

I live in Clearwater myself, and I agree with the statement above. Also, I listen to your video almost its entirety, and it says that you were there on a Tuesday at 6 o’clock so very misleading because people who live here know that Tuesdays are work weeks and 6 o’clock in the evening usually is rush-hour and then it dies down around that time especially because it gets more towards US 19, ulmerton. During the summer, you cannot even find a parking spot on Clearwater Beach.
Looks beautiful. Have you seen ANY California city? This is without trash, homeless, grafitti or obvious crime. This looks as sparkling and crispy clean as any Japanese city. I would love it!
For almost 40 years I dreamed about retiring in Florida. I had many wonderful vacations in SW Florida that will remain in my mind forever. In 2016 I thought I was going to make the move. I was in the process of purchasing a beautiful Coach House in Lely. On the final day of the 15 day right to cancel the contract period, I woke up and decided not to go ahead with the purchase because my instincts told me it was not the thing to do. We still continued to vacation in the Naples/Marco area but each trip was less enjoyable. The final vacation was two weeks in Lely last December. Never again! Lely was the same but beyond the resort was unpleasant. Too crowded, too expensive, too many rude and arrogant people who I don’t care to be around. And I am sure they don’t want me around either. Bye Bye! It was great while it lasted!
I moved here in 1997 (and left last year): it's ALWAYS been dead like this. Scientology owns all of these buildings. Clearwater/St Pete is amazing, but this is NOT indicative of Pinellas County. This is the "dead zone". People are on the beaches, downtown St Pete, the malls, etc. Or up near US 19. This area is far from empty- there are over a million people in this county. It's just that NOBODY hangs out here (or ever did). It's like the one piece of "quiet" in the county.
Why don’t they offer a company cheap taxes for the first 2 years to bring in business If it’s any help the bottom is falling out everyone will either on the street or fighting for their lives We are all here because of Bidens deals
Im born and raised in Clearwater. Clearwater has changed so much. Nothing is the same. Rhe beach used to be a fun lively place. But not anymore. Does Scientologist screwed up our city
Nothing wrong with an empty town, Sarasota everyone's strange you say hi and they look at you like why did you say hi... Held a store door open once for a young mother and her kid in Sarasota and she actually asked me why did you do that for us, told her I came from Lake Wales and we still hold doors for women there.. She thanked me and says it never happens here and I was just shocked someone did that for us...
😅😅😅 bro, no disrespect but Sarasota is better than lake wales. Safer too, well if you think Sarasota sucks you should see how nasty people are in: venice California. Anderson Indiana. Sarasota is pretty chill. I like it here. Naples is absolutely snobby. Boca too. Aventura as well. My lake wales video did really well
That's the way! Most people appreciate if they react at all and as for those who are offended, -can't please everyone! I hold the door open if someone is right behind me regardless of gender, -how I was raised.
After spending 4 hours out of the house and buying really nothing big and feeling like I spent $300 I wouldn't leave the house either prices are so high.
After spring break is done most of Florida empties out compared to normal. Not really untill after memorial day weekend will it pick up once schools are out.
Scientology has a program where parents give away their children to the church and a program that some of the children are forced into is called SeaOrg. This program takes place on a big ship/boat maybe the one they saw. My understanding is that some crazy things happen on this boat. They take the boat out in the middle of the ocean so the children are essentially trapped. Scientology purchased the majority of the commerce, small businesses and definitely have control of local law enforcement. There are lots of videos of people trying to walk around Clearwater and being harassed for trying to video on the street. Tom Cruise owns a very huge house somewhere downtown there too. Be so careful! Don’t drink the Kool Aid!
Every place is like that last 3 years ..Everyone is broke , and or poor now or afraid to spend any $$ ...Only hope is turn it all back red .oh, make sure volume is down before start video , it starts with a lady's voice so loud it rattled my speaker in tablet and people in next room ask who I was taking to!! Even turn down there are peaks where the hole tablet vibrates
Go east from downtown Clearwater on Gulf to Bay, right before the bridge going into Tampa highway 60 go north on Mc Mullen Booth road then go down Main Street heading into Safety Harbor.
I am continuously amazed (well, not really) at how the term hypster has evolved to refer to a caricature of the original hypster community. Yes the hypsters were always partly abnoxious but they were once a fairly humble transcendent artistic counterculture who often appreciated authentic food. Great video btw!
Looks sooo beautiful and clean. There is not one piece of trash anywhere and all the streets & sidewalks are well groomed. Most cities are boring in the summer due to the heat unless you are at a major tourist destination place that has cool weather like San Diego, California etc. Clearwater looks clear of trash & deadbeats
I thought the newly renovated park Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater was quite nice but you're correct. The downtown Clearwater area isn't as nice as downtown Sarasota or St. Petersburg,it more on the par of downtown Bradenton. Not great but not terrible although probably much better in the winter and Spring.
What, you think theres only one coconut sales person? Do you realize how many peaple live in Pinellas County?? Tourists go to beach not down town. Locals know where to go.😅
I am a Floridian and trust me, there are some bizarre towns here. I lived in Sarasota for awhile but it's become insane crowded. Longboat Key is NOTHING like it used to be. There were even some ok surfing spots along there that are no longer there. Lived in Cocoa Beach and it was just a nice town, summer and winter. We lived just north of Orlando for many years but now it's way too crowded and prices of everything, like taxes and utilities are now out of reach, never mind the noise. Now I live in another county where it's more affordable and still somewhat rural. I don't miss the horrific crowds, but even this place is getting full. The Villages threatens to eat up every bit of spare land, however, and that is not good. The summer USED to be vacation season for Florida residents but no more. Floridians don't get a break on anything anymore and some are leaving. The ones coming in aren't particularly welcome.
Clearwater used to be a nice town. The beach at Clearwater is kinda nice. And ever since the Scientology took over all of Clearwater it has gone down hill. I used to live in Spring Hill Florida until 2019 and used to go to to Clearwater until the Scientology ruined it.
Two things- Screw the hipsters ideas of good food! I want a burrito that looks like a burrito, not a $22.50 sushi burrito or a $17.99 cheeseburger burrito! I’m soooo over all that! If I want fried chicken I am not going to Pretty Bird, I will go to the grocery store deli and get some fried chicken, potato salad, chips and beer!

dude it's illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk in some FL cities and highly UNRECOMMENDED BTW, you're smarter than that, bikes have almost all the same rules as cars. That said riding on the wrong side is illegal. Hope that helps. Oh and there's a three foot rule when passing them.
