In the 60s and 70s. There used to be houses on south side of alligator alley west of L28 cut off canal. In late 80s. The state bought and demolished houses. Also airplanes used to drop their suitcases out of planes. If you know what i mean.. lol

The army Corp of engineers removed those homes and reclaimed all that land. It’s all now part of the picayune strand. A lot of folks go back there to shoot off their guns.

Very informative video. What's interesting about that region of Florida is that only Belle Glade has a population over 10,000 people in the Everglades, compared to the coasts which are jammed packed with millions of people. The South Florida inland region between I-75 and I-95 is just a completely different world. Almost hard to believe sometimes that they are both part of the same region in the same state.

They pay cash or steal them. They get drug money and money from their stolen goods....some sell them at flea markets or trade them with friends. They also do dog fighting and make bets. They get large amounts of $$ on the dog fights. They will steal ppls dogs to use for bait dogs. A cop told me this here in Central Florida....we had some rude, mean, illegals move in and they were taking cats and dogs from yards.

Family and friends would come out there on the holiday and take the swamp buggies out and hunt,no neighbors and no electricity, o home I remember those days, our house was near the range station back there ,haven't been back, only on Google maps brings back so many memorys.

Let's talk about Clewiston. Belle Glade. More Haven. I took umbrage to your content, but that's ok. You got me to engage....as a content creator, you won the day. But, young man, If you ever decide to come down here and spend some time on Lake Okeechobee I'd gladly come down from Tampa and we can stay in C town. Truth. Honestly friend, you nailed it pretty closely. I love working though my feelings while I'm typing. It's rough down there. It's hard seeing your home portrayed a certain way. My sister and nephews lived in Montura in the late 90's. It's just hard to hear from an outside perspective. Keep hustling, keep making content, and this is what you want......do enough to get people riled up......but, don't go so overboard that you piss people off. Reasearch everything. You may never read this and this post is all in vain....... If it is not, and you read this. I wish you all the success in the world friend.

I remember when my dad and his friends bought a bunch of lots in Montura Ranch back in '86 or '87. We used to visit a few months out of the year. There was a clubhouse with a pool, but I recall a tragic incident where one of the kids drowned, which made all the parents wary of letting us swim alone. We also had ATVs, which we called three-wheelers back then. Those were fun times.
I recently went back to the area, and it's disappointing to see what a dump it's become. It's funny because my dad and I were reminiscing about this over the weekend. He mentioned that they were offered lots in Cape Coral and Montura too, but they were told a new airport was being built in Montura, so they chose to buy there. They built a few houses and sold everything off in the '90s. We laughed because who knows what the Cape Coral lots and house would have been worth by now

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Seriously. Just like gangs, who have grown, and migrated into areas, blending in with honest every day folk, so have cartels. It's not like they are going to come up, and shake your hand, and id themselves.
They have infiltrated every state, and Florida is not exempt.
Every crime you can imagine, and some that may surprise you, like online dating scams, usually with wealthy older men and women. I really try and warn people about this.
Although it is another state, a really sweet, kind lady I knew was recently scammed. They (yes, cartel members) got into her home, tortured her in brutal ways, stole from safes, stole her vehicle, and dumped her body. The investigation continues.
Do NOT bother to ask for intimate details. They aren't for your channel. I am simply pointing out how bad its gotten, and no, unless you're rich, the feds don't give a rats ass. I've gone toe-to-toe in the past with the feds...local law enforcement depends...in this case holding back a lot.
A little FYI. I worked in forensics before retirement, due to military service connected illness, so I saw a lot over a many year span.
Long before people paid attention to the influx, I lived by the border; spent a lot of time back and forth, and worked there for a time. I also lived in a state that had a lot of "transfer" houses...the worst of the worse blend in.
I always tell folks to just be careful. You go everywhere in the state, so keep doing what you are doing and be safe.
