I found this game thousand miles away from my home, when I was following my dad to do his Master's study abroad. Bought this random game at a car boot sale, $10, thinking it was just another game to spend my time with. Now, 20 years later, I found out I wasn't the only one who still thinks of this game (especially the soundtracks) from time to time. This song had me crying the first time tho 😂
the story and the impact of the OST is just pure bliss and honestly even till this day i can't find a sound track that makes me feel for the villain (imo evildoka didn't deserve what she got) and this sound track just draws you in and makes you feel so many emotions and full of joy and sorrow at the same time.
PS2 may have sold more, but PS1 will always hold my heart and childhood! So many hidden gems captured my imagination then. This, Jade Cocoon, Kingsly, Tai Fu, Granstream Saga. Those days will never come back because games these days are not special like they used to be!
Yes, always loved this as a kid. I was completely amazed that you could eventually use Ihadurca. I use her in my survival runs and I cleared the leaderboard. Highest score is 32. Cheers!
Setsuna: "I've been waiting for you." Danzaiver: "Now it is a somewhat happy ending...isn't it?" Kakurine: "I can only die once...I'm happy that you killed me." Shahal: "WELCOME MASTER." Gally: "Good wine, good woman, good music. This is wonderful!" Midori: "I wonder who's gonna fight me?" Keiya: "It's been a long time...Himika." Erel: "I'm home...right...Al?" Al: "Erel, from now on, I'll protect you." Ihadurca: "Just as you wished, Orsa."
Al actually says "Erel from now on, I'm gonna take care of you and protect you", Gally says and rather then having a third comma, Kakurine has 'you've' instead of just 'you' and Ihadurca starts her sentence with a 'hmpf'. Other then that it's pretty accurate.
I love this ending credits theme. Either you're waking in the early morning or getting off from school, college, or work going home while in the late afternoon sunset. The melody within this track sounds familiar to Chaka Khan's 1980s hit "Through The Fire," which is a very great song too.
i literally was searching for this music since 2004 and now im crying because i can see my childhood inside of me 😭😭😭😭😭😭 well love this shit forever ❤️❤️❤️
Evil zone is an amazing game, awsome characters and the music is awsome but this song is relaxing, i would lestin to these songs over nd over now i play 2 songs on drums i wish i had the other songs
I still have my game and the save file for it tucked away safely. An easy game to play but not always that easy to beat. For that time the graphics were great. I'd love to see more especially since there was room for it with the mention of Orsa. Thanks for uploading this song, I suddenly had the urge to hear it again.
yes! "through the fire"by chaka kahn.(which is a beautiful song within its self) if you noticed the people who composed evil zone's soundtrack made alot of the songs sound familliar(just listen to lie's song)
so sad.... which i guess is appropriate as most of the characters' endings were slightly sad (w/ exceptions to Danzaiver, who got everything he wanted, except when Yuri beat the shit outta him) Such a great OST for a great game. I kinda wish they either made an anime out of it or even an Evil Zone 2. :'(
+girindra pradhanika nugraha I have mistaken too.. but that was a long time ago.. when i was elementary hahaha.. but now ican say that they're not similar :3
It wouldn't surprise me if they did use Through The Fire as an inspiration for this. They all ready ripped off Just Communication from Gundam Wing. LOL.
I think the saddest endings are Kakurine, Lie, Setsuna, and Ihadulca: Kakurine cause she dies with her best friend Lea/Ihadulca: Lie cause his sword kills him: Setsuna cause she loses Karin: Ihadulca cause she inadvertently killed her best friend Kakurine and took her sadness on Evil Zone. What's your guys opinion with these endings?
Does Lie die? I thought the sword transported into a different world. Kind of assumed he got a major power boost after becoming the master of the sword but removed from around he gained the power from. Always thought he was just massacre in other people until somebody stops him.
@@theHedgex1 True. I actually don't feel bad for him now considering that this was an old post I made when I was 17 - 18. But, I'll still defend Kakurine, Satsuna and Ihadulca as having the saddest endings in this game.
Es mejor que este grandioso juego ahiga quedado así en una sola entrega es sublime y este este es el mismo caso que killer instinct arcade sublime único las posteriores entregas para olvidar los primeros serán los primeros
It is time for Yuke's to already sell this IP to some company who knows how to make mindblowing remakes and/or Fighting Games! I'm thinking of Capcom or ArcSys.
***** Well seeing as Ihadurca is dead and the song is called sorrow long day I thought it was kinda of obvious. Remember Ihadurca isn't evil in evilzone she's more of a victim. If I remember correctly kakurine fragmented her memory or split her up into multiple incarnations hoping that by doing so she/he could gain a clean slate and regain their relationship, it obviously failed. and now Ihadurca is trapped to protect the Evilzone while her mind now has a joker complex. ( To scrambled to know who she is ) In conclusion the reason why they cut between cut scenes is because it's supposed to represent that both have obtained peace. Ihadurca is released from her torment and the Evilzone and the protagonist gains his or her happy ending. At least that's always been my take on things.
***** Well each ending is different I mean I think lie's sword consumes his soul! and Danzavier well I would of punched that other guy in the face =p. Either way I was just generalising their endings. I still think the song plays and cut scenes fade in and out due to the fact both the player and Ihaduca had met their journeys end.
Ebonizer V That... could be it, but do they need to show it like 4-5 times? Once is enough I think, I meant, they could just replay some fights just like Tekken 3 did for example, or well, stretching the scene with Ihadurca "falling asleep"/"finding peace" a bit, so that you have like two different scenes going on there :)
+Evilriku13 It's probably to show that Ihadurca's true self Lea is back in her inter dimensional space, free from Orsa's control, or that Inahurca is sent somewhere beyond the Evil Zone.

More than 20 years later, this ending still feels so sad and beautiful !
This game and its music are so underrated
Evil Zone deserved a sequel IMO. Such a great game.
Xehanort10 still deserves that x_x besides, there is SO MUCH backstory going on just by reading these chara bios and stuff o.o"
I agree with both of you.
Yes totally agree. It would be great if with each game they released a movie or a mini series.
Yeah it did
I would go to sleep to this song in highschool... people rave about the PS2 but the original PlayStation had many great hidden gems.
Yo..... Me too lol

This song always reminded me of being alone, walking around a city while it was raining. Really sad yet lovely song.

Last 15 seconds hit you right in the feels
Bruh u ain't never lying...its like a tragedy turning into a happy ending typical anime story..lol
I remember putting the game in and going straight to this track to listen to.
As a Muslim you should not be listening to music it is haram😀

DESPERATE NEED for a remaster. Holy God what an unsung hero of nostalgia

I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed the Chaka Khan Through the Fire sounds
🤯🤯🤯
The end of this song is liquid gold! Top stuff.
i literally was searching for this music since 2004 and now im crying because i can see my childhood inside of me 😭😭😭😭😭😭 well love this shit forever ❤️❤️❤️

(2018) Just finished my night shift and while I'm driving so tired to home I said "OK Google, play evil zone ending"
This is still my fav song from all the games I've played over the years, I still play this game from time to time just to listen to this song.
I'm glad I randomly walked into that Spec's store and picked this game up years ago. This game was truly fun and worth it.
I still have my game and the save file for it tucked away safely. An easy game to play but not always that easy to beat. For that time the graphics were great. I'd love to see more especially since there was room for it with the mention of Orsa. Thanks for uploading this song, I suddenly had the urge to hear it again.
Ive been waiting in like FOREVER! Please someone!! Make ERETZVAJU into animee!! 😭
Amo este canción
Uno de los mejores endings de un video juego como amo ese temazo como llore en ese momento T_T .
Unforgettable. Still here after 20 years! Still with a teardrop ready to shed.
Unforgettable Evil Zone. ❤
Played this game in 1999. This track makes me yearn for the 90s again.
Takes me back to talk shows, browsing cable late at night and when anime would air in syndication on weekdays and weekends. What a time.
so agree
This theme got me in the feels!
Fantastica theme song. Triste e dolcissima
y fuerte en algunas partes
Anche nostalgica aggiungerei
yes! "through the fire"by chaka kahn.(which is a beautiful song within its self) if you noticed the people who composed evil zone's soundtrack made alot of the songs sound familliar(just listen to lie's song)

This Is magic!

Love this song
Merci Bob de m'avoir fait découvrir cette merveille... And Danzai-burst.

Brings back memories.

Great ending theme!
This Game~
This brings back memories.
"It's been a long time, Himika."
Q.Q
I for one think keiya's ending ways the saddest. This song just made me break down. Kakurine's ending being the second saddest.

"Through the fire... "
Wish this game would get sequel. Cant deny that when i heard this song, i could hear the inspiration from Chaka Khans "Through the fire" at 1:25 lol.
@dannihot :( yeah !! its so beautiful

Setsuna ..................
so sad.... which i guess is appropriate as most of the characters' endings were slightly sad (w/ exceptions to Danzaiver, who got everything he wanted, except when Yuri beat the shit outta him)
Such a great OST for a great game. I kinda wish they either made an anime out of it or even an Evil Zone 2. :'(
Idk. Midori's ending was a happy one. It was a very comedic ending but still like I said it was good.
That fretless bass
best part of beating the game
whose here in 2022?
2024
is it just me or this song really has a similar melody with Chaka Khan's Through The Fire?
+girindra pradhanika nugraha I have mistaken too.. but that was a long time ago.. when i was elementary hahaha.. but now ican say that they're not similar :3
girindra pradhanika nugraha i thought the same. It's very similar
It wouldn't surprise me if they did use Through The Fire as an inspiration for this. They all ready ripped off Just Communication from Gundam Wing. LOL.
girindra pradhanika nugraha yes, I thought the same thing!
girindra pradhanika nugraha It has more of a Kenny G feel to me.
Super smash bros U the arcade game ending theme: our last goodbye
Geeks channel 😻❤️
Is it only me but I used to fall a sleep listening to this song
I think the saddest endings are Kakurine, Lie, Setsuna, and Ihadulca: Kakurine cause she dies with her best friend Lea/Ihadulca: Lie cause his sword kills him: Setsuna cause she loses Karin: Ihadulca cause she inadvertently killed her best friend Kakurine and took her sadness on Evil Zone.

@Black Chandelier Mirage That's true 😃.
Does Lie die? I thought the sword transported into a different world. Kind of assumed he got a major power boost after becoming the master of the sword but removed from around he gained the power from. Always thought he was just massacre in other people until somebody stops him.
@@theHedgex1 Lie does die as he dissappear and a new person picks up the sword.
@@93SuperSonic that sucks but it's not like i'll shed tears for the guy. he was taken by a greater evil.
@@theHedgex1 True. I actually don't feel bad for him now considering that this was an old post I made when I was 17 - 18. But, I'll still defend Kakurine, Satsuna and Ihadulca as having the saddest endings in this game.
i still own a copy of this EPIC game!!!!!
@kageroninja i dont think its a real song but it reminds me alot of Kenny G
i don't know why i feel like i'm at a lobby of a hotel when i hear this lol... good song tho...

essa música é linda
I promised myself I wouldn't cry...
😭😭😭😭😭♥️
this reminds me of a real song that i heard somewhere
Your latest tricks dire straits
I need to find my copy of this game :
What instrument and genre is this? Saxophone, Clarinet? Smooth Jazz?
Smooth Jazz. If you want more similar to this, the Smooth Jazz mixes on TH-cam are in abundance. Thank me later.
It is time for Yuke's to already sell this IP to some company who knows how to make mindblowing remakes and/or Fighting Games! I'm thinking of Capcom or ArcSys.
I.. never got why between the cutscenes for each character, this floating image of Ihadurca is shown o.O Kind of irritates me tbh o:
***** Well seeing as Ihadurca is dead and the song is called sorrow long day I thought it was kinda of obvious. Remember Ihadurca isn't evil in evilzone she's more of a victim. "both"? But Setsuna has found sadness in her ending somewhat instead of "peace".

dos motivos para llorar 1 por la cancion y 2 por no tenerla en el celular, que alguien me pase esta cancion no sean malos
