@Stylish DY.D. or my other daughter who is my daughter who adopted herself as her daughter but doesn't know she's my daughter but they are my daughters who is my daughter.
That ending is so depressing because it means that all the efforts of the past 45 years have been for nothing, and the next iteration of Sigma has to do it all again.
Imagine being Sigma, travelling back through the chart because of the AB Project, working 45 years to make the project a success, then jumping back to right before the D-Com experiment...and going through the path leading to D-END 1.
When this song came on after Phi died in the incinerator, that hit me real hard. The combination of Phi being dead, Diana's reaction, the brooch and the memories of Luna (it being played in her ending in VLR) were just too much :'(
*With that gun there, you will be able to choose wether to kill me now, or allow me to leave. I promise, I won't use mind hacking on you, you are free to decide.* *Which shall it be? Pull the trigger, or let me go...The fates of you, me, and mankind are all on the line- This is the decision game.*
For every single death in this game, I was just kind of, "Meh, they're fine in another timeline." ...and then the cruel bastards decided to play this with Phi in the incinerator.
The moment I saw that, I felt bad for the game itself. This was like the saddest squeal of the 999 trilogy. I even wonder to myself did they lived off of booze and wine after running out of food? Damn if they did then this game deserves a 100/10 rating. Thats what I call a fucked up moment.
Definitely the most heartwarming, but at the same time, one of the bleakest endings. The relationship that builds between Diana and Sigma until it comes to a head is a masterfully written narrative that portrays the humanity of the characters that I've rarely seen in any game, movie, etc., and seeing the two of them so happy with their new healthy twins warms my heart every time; however, as soon as the image of the transporter sending Phi and Delta to the past fades out, one is left with the cold reality that, after that, the only thing Sigma, Diana, and their two children can do is starve to death, waiting for help that will never come. Never has an alternate ending shaken me so much, or made me feel so many emotions in so short a span of time. Well done, ZTD. Well done.
This game reveals our humanity. Shooting Sigma is the mathematically logical choice, but Phi didn't want to play the odds and was willing to sacrifice herself for the 100% guarantee Sigma lives. And not shooting Sigma hits you right in the feels.
I know it's technically blamed on the snail and Diana and stuff, but really, if Mira hadn't just... Randomly injected Phi with Radical-6, there wouldn't have been a pandemic. Same for her causing everything with her murder. I always find that Mira as a character is very hard to redeem.
Personally I think Mira is the least likable and redeemable character in the series. The actions of characters like Ace, Dio and Eric can be somewhat understood or redeemed, but Mira is just a serial killer.
I feel like... at least the beginning of Mira's murder spree can be justified, albeit not condoned or redeemed, in a very screwed up, roundabout way. Think about it. In the end (of the beginning), Mira was just a curious child who wanted to know what a heart was like.
People complain about ZTD overusing this song, and while I do agree it's used a bit too much, there's still something about it when it plays in the right moments that makes it my favorite Zero Escape song.
Definitely the same for me. At first I was like "oh I see, since they're the only ones left we're sure to see some bullshit love story. Yep. Huhuh. Seen that. Wait, it's actually well done. ... WHAT THE FUCK HOW DO YOU WANT TO CALL HER ?"

This melody somehow makes me remember everything that went wrong in my life. it makes me cry every time i hear it, but also fills me with hope for some reason.
*Spoilers* What's fucked up the most during the stranded pair ending, is that even after they send the twins to another history the physical copy remains. It's just heartbreaking to think that after they run out of food, all of them will die together in that timeline (both children and parents). God fucking dammit.
Thomas Pedder It should also be known that since Zero didn't bother to deactivate the shelter illusion, Sigma and Diana never knew about the *FULLY STOCKED PANTRY* in Ward C... there's no way Delta can justify this other than not wanting to prolong his alternate family's suffering in that timeline. He probably could have also programmed the Decontamination Room exit to open after 10 months (pulling a VLR-type "I never said the OTHER door would never open again") and let his alter family live in that timeline, since it no longer served any vital purpose. ...Hmmm, maybe he did and left a recording that was activated that we never knew about because Delta didn't bother to review the security footage beyond that point.
@@NotAGoodUsername360 Delta's is just a complete ass anyway. I really don't get why he even cares about saving humanity, considering he's shown little to no humanity.

I also thought Sigma wouldn't be as amazing as VLR since his consciousness is his old self but boy was I wrong. He was easily highly ranked in this game. The disappointing/pissed off thing was the small reunion once they knew each other. I would like to even see some small talk after that hug or what happens after the game true ending. But we will never know what will happens to them or any one else for that matters. I understand the game ending was trying to say "It's up to your imagination" or whatever but I wish we could see what happens to the characters.

Not gonna lie, from all the previous setup, what with all 3 games basically preparing me for it, I was expecting to hate Brother even more on sight, but it turns out that he convinced me enough to the point that I probably wouldn't fire. From what I gather, people didn't like ZTD as much, but I feel like at the end of the day it was really good because the character is pretty hard to judge.
"Have sex...make love to me... Don't you want me? I see...you don't have the balls...coward" Gawd this totally shattered me. Never imagined someone like Diana fall that low. This game series has been so enjoyable that seeing it come to a close legitimately made me cry. And I don't cry a lot at video games, but I'll be DAMNED if a visual novel/cinematic game ever comes close to this level or emotional impact ever again.
Because the transporter only sends copies, that means that the Phi that we have known for so long was a copy. Technically a copy of a copy. Is she even the real Phi?
That’s an important concept seen throughout the game. Like when they debate if they should all SHIFT at the end of the game - are the people in this timeline their “true” selves?

Nice version, but overused in ZTD. This has two truly good uses: one with Phi in the incinerator, one in D-END 2. There's also the "music box only" version where Diana gets the melody from in the locker room. Every other use of this was pretty pointless.

my favourite theme.
it feels so perfect in the times it gets used
d team has a lot of feels
Of all the OSTS I'll probably never forget this one
Not gonna lie, from all the previous setup, what with all 3 games basically preparing me for it, I was expecting to hate Brother even more on sight, but it turns out that he convinced me enough to the point that I probably wouldn't fire. From what I gather, people didn't like ZTD as much, but I feel like at the end of the day it was really good because the character is pretty hard to judge.
1:30
"Have sex...make love to me...
Don't you want me? I see...you don't have the balls...coward"
Gawd this totally shattered me. Never imagined someone like Diana fall that low. Even the most pure heart can get desperate >:
And yes I am sure I probably didn't quote correctly, but the main idea is the same
Well, she was desperate and about to go insane. I'm more surprised Delta had the mental fortitude to treat her properly all those months without a single pass at her.
LeonGun8 I don't think Delta feels anything at all lol
LeonGun8 Don't you mean Sigma?
Ah true, I meant Sigma. Guess I thought one name and wrote the other for some reason.
Nngh...
Well.. that was it.. no more escapeing..
Well in This Timeline!
I really hope they Start a whole new series, new ideas, new sick gameplay etc
Let them give a good conclusion to zero escape first.
Kessler Imagine a Prequel. Basically make Gordain’s Nonary Games Canonical
I hardly ever get emotional at games but D-end 2... I never thought a romance-centered ending would be so powerful
@@medmax5941 But that message gets kinda shattered when earler Carlos Shifts all over the timeline baicially becoming a mass murderer with all of his victims being himself
It’s kinda dumb how only “one” conscience of your various selves can just jump but not the other versions
@@EMICIMEhappened there and VLR
Ah the memories of not being able to hear the dialogue over 1:30
Wow I saw this image when I bought the game and had no idea what it was. Seeing it now made me realize what zero made diana do in this scene. wow
*Sigma's blood curdling scream in the background*
Zero, that was fucked up. Really fucked up.
Complex motives aside.
That's pretty hypocritical of you Sigma.
Like father like son ammirite?
well this Zero is more fucked up than the others
Hey man, don't be so down. Let me tell you something good. I killed your dog, he's back there.
*Gab....Gab's been...*
It's back!
ULTIMATE TEARS GO!
I feel VLR and ZTD were video game adaptations of the Saw movies... BUT WITH *FEELS*!
Life is simply unfair.... Don't you think?
There are moments when a single snail....
I cry every time. This has been the best zero escape game ever! I love the Decision Game!!!
This is The most beautiful soundtrack ever
This song is the definition of a love-hate relationship
Phi and 6 billion lives on the scale, which one weighs heavier?
Diana: Phi.
Me: Phi's gotta be Diana's daughter.
When you find out Phi Dyed her hair
This song is fucking beautiful.
This image is posted everywhere for advertisement of the game, but it's only important in one ending.
I listen to stuff like this and play Zero Escape games, and then I think about Keith Ballard... Really makes me wanna make my own Nonary/Decision Game.
Akai Hikari lol. I’m watching their play through now.
At first I disliked it because they were so negative but now that I’m used to it I’m actually starting to like it, even though I HIGHLY disagree with them lol.
@@anidiotthatreviewsmovies6242 I'm just not a fan of how they spend two hours per text box dicking around, saying "Dis gaem sux lol even tho i have nu vallid reezin y on behaff of my badd memree lol"
Hey listen
If you ever start your very own Nonary Game
I'm in
This shit makes me wanna cry :(
SPOILERS!!!!!!!!! That awkward moment when you realized you've been shipping a father and a daughter this whole time (Phi and Sigma).
I W NEVER STOPED SCREAMING AT MY SCREEN I WAS HORRIFIED. °^°
The song that plays when sad stuff happens in team D
*_Another season of Hardcoooooooore!_*
*_I'm stuck I can't get out!_*
*_Take the sword!_*
*_I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!_*
*_I'm dead!_*
*_Nooo!_*

NOOOO!! The feeels!!!
Its this song that reminds me of some old romance movies.
and that one game called "Typing of the dead" dunno the real title i forgot.
Song is amazing and all that, but they use it too often in ZTD. That is why it hits hard in VLR since it was used only once.
and in quarks letter too
and Alice's story
oh right, sorry i forgot about these
Yeah, it kinda turned from "Luna's Theme" into "generic sad stuff happening song"
Well, it turned from "Luna's Theme" to "Sad stuff happening to team-D". It still belongs to the VLR characters.
I think you're right but it's not too bad, I mean, you don't hear it when Junpei or Q or Carlos are sad.
i’mmnot crying you’re crying
dav pretty much sums up most of my feelings when I went through this series.
*spoilers*
the first time i cleared the incinerator, i tried to save phi and actually succeeded (as in, you shoot sigma with a blank), and continued on as normal; then when i had to backtrack -- i played this alongside a replay of vlr and just got over luna's ending -- and got this song playing with phi in the incinerator, i lost it, and just started sobbing out loud. my mum came in asking me why i was crying, and i just pointed to my ds saying "I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH WHY"
The greatest one

Guys, I am late to the feels express, but can I please still get a ticket? I have a full bucket of feels that needs to be emptied...
Just finished the game and it was a masterpiece. Simply loved how Phi ended up Sigma and Diana's daughter. And Delta's plan? It was too complex for me to say how I'm impressed like his motive does. Thank you for whoever created this perfect novel. Waiting for the fourth game!
Hopefully you won't spoil anybody with your comment
My opinion and appreciation are no different from other comments that have more likes than mine. If you don't want to be spoiled on this late game ost, just don't check the comments 😅
@@knighthart Uhm... if this was about me I wouldn't have written "anybody", you know?
How much did phi know when she told Diane to let stigma live?
Nice version, but overused in ZTD. This has two truly good uses: one with Phi in the incinerator, one in D-END 2. There's also the "music box only" version where Diana gets the melody from in the locker room.
Every other use of this was pretty pointless.
What about Sigma's death when Mira killed him after the button, when he thought Diana was Luna in his last moments.
when they opened the force quit box and remembered
Loving 1:31 and 3:55 but can't shake of the certain feeling of melancholy :(
D-team is the best team
Here, I said it...
It is possible Delta set them free after the transportation was successful.
Edit: Q team died in that timeline. I can only wonder if he set the door to open on midnight the next day, but somehow I doubt that.
