Painting Our Wood Burning Stove

We gave life to an old wood burning stove! This will be providing the heat for our tiny house. Using a wire brush to remove the old rust on it to get it smooth and paintable. We also used a bead of fire stop sealant around all the cracks to make sure there is no chance for the smoke to creep through. The paint went through a curing process where it smokes on the first 3 fires. It was a lot of smoke and we had to get out of the place because it smelled bad. After it cured, everything is good!

Maybe for folks doing this, recommend putting a few fires outside in it before bringing it inside. Was this high temperature spray paint?

Glad you painted it before you did alot of work inside.That smoke looked dark.😳 The stove looks like new and the gray color is great. ❤🤍💙
