I suggest waiting for Nitro+ version for 7600, premium cooling vs premium cooling it's only fair. Also another commenter said the 6000 cards are not reporting real board wattage, and I check Sapphire's official site, 6650 Nitro has 203 watts for power. So, take that into consideration. Also hearing RDNA3 cards (7000 series) will get huge new tech update/upgrade from AMD in the future. Will RDNA2 also get the same? who knows. Oh and I really recommend Sapphire for Radeon cards, very reliable in quality and cooling tech. I myself waiting for Nitro+ version of 7600. Oh forgot to add 7600 pulse wattage........ it's 185 watts haha, pretty much the same with the video!
This is basically the same performance, which isn't surprising. They have the same amount of cores, the manufacturing process is pretty much the same, and whatever small edge the new rdna 3 architecture gives is made up by the faster clocks of the 6650. Right now the value is probably going to be the 6600tx.
11:15 tdp 7600 shows 180+Watt but in specs i found info about only 165W at same time i see on screen 153W for 6650XT which has to be 176W in specs. SO maby you mess with results??
Power draw will vary depending on the program running while the max tdp varies per model. In this case the total board power rating of the nitro+ is 185w

Is it normal for the graphics card to make noise when it's running at 100% GPU usage? Thanks

Considering the 6650XT is using about %20+ lower wattage and fan RPM's are less than half on average for within 5% of the same framerate, for a lower price, the winner is pretty clear if that tiny FPS increase is not your definition of a win.
How did they even manage to get *worse* performance per watt gen on gen? The RX 7600 uses about 25W extra while having pretty much the exact same performance as the 6650XT.

Depends on case, and airflow in case and ambient room temp. My rx6650xt seldom sees above 60 DegC, but its in a giant case with several case fans and ambient here is 18-20 deg c. In my sons mini tower running the same games his Gcard is seldom below 70.
if you dont mind the noise use adrenalin to up your fan curve. I personally have a 46° on idle, but with standard curve on Steelrising (everything maxed except texture) it got up to 83°. I upped the fan curve just a bit, like 5%, and bam, no more than 74°. And since I use headphones the noise dont even bother me.

Even with a newer RDNA architecture isn't going to help the GPU at all. This card isn't future proof if it can't even run Ultra 1080p games at over 100fps, or close. Barely handle 1440p, and do NO 4K 30. Which you can still do with an Xbox One X (used) for like $230. lol. Now THAT's future proof...in many ways. This card wasn't very well thought out.
@@drummer7557 1. I was merely comparing these 2 GPUs together, what are you even on about? Parts prices have been shit for years and yeah consoles are a pretty solid buy, but I'm talking within the PC space. 2. Both of these cards are way out of the league of the Xbox One X. Any game with a decent PC port from 2017-2021 that actually ran at 4K on the One X can run way better easily at equivalent settings. And nearly all newer games don't even run at that, they barely push 1440p-1800p and their settings are turned way down. Saying these cards can't do 4K when they easily can in the same older titles and the One X itself barely even does it anymore is moronic. If anything the 7600 is close to the level of the PS5's GPU on paper. And even with its gripes, FSR2 at its Ultra Quality setting will give you extra performance while looking barely any different from native TAA, which is what the older consoles use. 3. Yes, the One X still holds up very well today, it's really a great machine. But literally on a conceptual level one product being future proof does not make a completely different product not future proof, that doesn't work like that. These cards are objectively more future proof than One X equivalent hardware feature wise. It doesn't make the One X less of a good machine for what it is, and vice versa.
My huge factor will always be power consumption as long as it can play more than 60 fps in single player and more than 75 fps in multiplayer / esports games there is no reason for me to buy a much more modern model.
Just bought RX 6650 XT in my country and it costs around 240$ while rx 7600 xt cost 300$. I dont think it is worth it to add extra 60$. It performs similar performance.
it's basically a 6700 xt, if only they managed to lower the power usage like they used to with newer graphic card, so far power consumption and noise are in the level of 6700 xt. Just hoping if the new architecture implemented RDNA 3 would get some boost in persay Smart access memory or rebar or better FSR perfomance/quality maybe.
Everyone needs to take stock of what is actually happening here. No more tests needed, no more benchmarks needed.....It is laughable. Nvidia and AMD both stock piled through whatever reason a mass of the gpus. We as the public grew a pair....we have said no to paying their prices for a year. The 4090 is the new tech...the 4070 and below has the unsold tech that they still want to make money on...they are bundling it up and selling it to you as new products. Trust me they have been working on the 5090 for over a year already
These tests are needed. Most consumers don't really care about the underlying tech. Hell, a lot of em just look at the brand. Who cares if its not the the latest tech. Who cares about generational improvement. Performance and price is all that should matter to a consumer. I'd buy and recommend Navi 10 if it was $100 any day of the week. You can be a tech enthusiast all you want, but don't assume everyone's needs are the same as yours.

this 6650 has such a small rpm, I would have taken it and not the rx6600 asrock, which has minimum 1250 rpm and below it is impossible to do in any way.
Remember: AMD RX 6000 GPUs doesn't show the right value of Power Consumption. It seems to be a lack of hardware sensor or some kind of bug. Just add +30W to the final number and you'll get the real Total Board Power (as AMD likes to call it).
How do you know ? Can you send us the source of that please beacause im hesiting betwen these cards
Thanks for this vod! I'm kinda torn which to buy. RX 7600 is $15 cheaper than RX 6650 XT here in my country, but this vod makes the latter look like the better of the two? I would've bought the former right away if not for the power draw back & also high temp...
What app do you use for stat monitoring?
afterburner
11:15 tdp 7600 shows 180+Watt but in specs i found info about only 165W at same time i see on screen 153W for 6650XT which has to be 176W in specs. SO maby you mess with results??
Power draw will vary depending on the program running while the max tdp varies per model. In this case the total board power rating of the nitro+ is 185w
RX 7600: almost same performance, more power consumption.
VERY interesting results.. thought that 7600=6700 10gb but... anyway thank you, i never trust youtube "videocard testing" channels which didnt show me videocards - only numbers on screen lol. you are one of few channels which i trust (+hardware unboxed and prohightech). thanks again!
Thanks for the kind words! Cheers
What card gives the best fps the rx 6650 xt msi mech x2 oc 8gb or the rx 6650 xt gigabyte version?
Personally I would go with the XFX model. It's amazingly quiet, no coil whine, performant, and a properly designed and implemented heatsink. My XFX 6650XT Merc210 has shocked me with what it can do.
I just bought it, but in some games like GTA V, F1 2018, Assassin's Creed Origins... with everything on ultra settings, the fans get really loud at 2500 revolutions per minute or more (80% speed), but the graphics card doesn't get hot, it stays at a maximum of 70 degrees. Is it normal for the graphics card to make noise when it's running at 100% GPU usage? Thanks
usually depends on the model, some versions have louder fans than others
what 7600 brand did you get?
Can you upload the configuration you are using for on-screen measurements? This doesn't look like MSI Afterburner, what is it?
its afterburner bro.
@@JegsTV It looks customized, you did a good job. Can you upload your Profile/Config files if it's not a hassle? Its a pain in the ass to configure the damn thing
Are these games running on updated Version of the game ? Because in my version of God of war the fps fluctuate
how would this be with a 7600XT though?
Considering the 6650XT is using about %20+ lower wattage and fan RPM's are less than half on average for within 5% of the same framerate, for a lower price, the winner is pretty clear if that tiny FPS increase is not your definition of a win.
thankyou soo much for this comparision
the 6650 xt is a keeper...😎
How did they even manage to get *worse* performance per watt gen on gen? The RX 7600 uses about 25W extra while having pretty much the exact same performance as the 6650XT.
take note that the RX 6000 series only reports chip wattage while the 7000 series displays board wattage. the rx 6650 xt is pulling around 170-180w
Owned 6650xt and wow i'm impressed. Most of the game the gpu usage was 99% and sometimes going down to 96% why is it? And some games the fps is slightly better. Now I just need to upgrade to am5 7000 series.
7600 Power allways at 181 W ???
1st mistake, I'm a computer technician and I bought an Ibuypower. (even though I can upgrade it a lot). 2nd MISTAKE-I bought the one with the RX 7600 Radeon 8gb, and the Ryzen 7600 CPU. 3rd MISTAKE that was a big help-I watched all of these videos after I bought it. RECTIFYING my actions, I'm taking it BACK because of TH-cam videos and it was $952 with tax. I already own a Series X, PS5, Steam Deck, Old 360, and older gaming PC. Guess what? PROBLEM SOLVED. haha
AMD, 1 question
How tf does power efficiency get WORSE going from RDNA 2 to RDNA 3?
Performance being the same is whatever, these cards go for almost the same price with a sloght edge to the 6650xt, but how, in the ever loving god, does the 7600, a lower class product, draw MORE power
Hey i have the same pulse rx6650xt but my gpu temps are high. How do you maintain the temperature even at the high gpu usage.
Depends on case, and airflow in case and ambient room temp. My rx6650xt seldom sees above 60 DegC, but its in a giant case with several case fans and ambient here is 18-20 deg c. In my sons mini tower running the same games his Gcard is seldom below 70.
this is not a pulse it is the nitro which has way better cooler than the pulse
if you dont mind the noise use adrenalin to up your fan curve. I personally have a 46° on idle, but with standard curve on Steelrising (everything maxed except texture) it got up to 83°. I upped the fan curve just a bit, like 5%, and bam, no more than 74°. And since I use headphones the noise dont even bother me.
for new build, 3060ti or 4060ti? if both has same price
of course 4060ti IF both has the same price. If not, still prefer 4060ti IF it's new build
In Philippines rx 6650 xt is $45.99 cheaper compared to rx 7600. I'm planning to build PC these are my selections below, but I'll probably end up with 6650 xt.
-Gigabyte RX 7600 8GB OC ($340)
-Gigabyte RX 6650 xt 8GB OC ($294)
-Gigabyte RTX 3060 12GB OC V2 ($385)
All triple fans.
Goods na yan.
Rx 6650xt will be your best choice. Will also be discontinued after this month (September).
The little card that could 😢
(may i suggest) Sapphire is the go-to brand for Radeon cards, I can vouch for it. Personally waiting for 7600 Nitro+, i want that huge ARGB Light Bar lol, it looks sick(on other 7000 series Nitro+ cards). A while ago I bought 5600xt pulse but then saw Nitro cards has customizable colors for it's LEDs, instant regret as I'm stuck with boring red LEDs only haha.
Oh not to mention the premium cooling tech from sapphire in Nitro cards vs just basic for pulse cards.
Gigabyte for me great for MBs since drop in quality of Asus due to too rapid growth, going into laptops, monitors and etcs. Jayz2cents made a good video on why he dropped Asus.
im savin to buy one of these 2 cards and now i know what should i get thanks men for the video👍
mura na 6650xt sa lazada tapos sa shopee meron 30% less pa(1200cap) pero gusto ko sana asrock sa phantom gaming or xfx quic sana magkastock soon sa pinas bnew hehe
Thanks paps. Try mo kumuha this july paps para ma avail mo promo ni amd. Libreng starfield when you purchase amd gpus. Worth 3.5k din yun
The 6650 XT does come a just little cheaper than the 7600 now, but the 7600 is just a little more futureproof and has better RT and AI performance.
@@drummer7557
@@drummer7557 Well you talk about consoles, there are so many games that isnt on console and never will be. Enjoy both.
What would you recommend that is 4070 level for an AMD GPU?
6800xt
even 6800 good too
thanks guys.
6800/6800xt and youre from PH right? there are alot of 2nd hand units on these models currently on sale you can get them ranging from 20-27k
@@JegsTV sige salamat 😁
it look likes the Cooling System of Nitro+ are better than Pulse but the performance look the same
My huge factor will always be power consumption as long as it can play more than 60 fps in single player and more than 75 fps in multiplayer / esports games there is no reason for me to buy a much more modern model.
Help!!! In TLOU i have frame drops from 60 to 14 fps with mi RX6700XT is a driver problem or is the game like that? :(
Disable ReBar in driver when playing TLOU.
in my country RX 6650XT is cheaper by $22 than RX 7600. What Should I buy 6650xt or 7600? I want to be my pc future proof for at least 6 - 7 years.
Buy 7600
@krexilinmixiling why? Reasons?
@@LORDxMafia new technology so is more future proof it have rdn 3 and rx6650xt have rdn 2
@@krexilinmixiling thanks for info.
Just bought RX 6650 XT in my country and it costs around 240$ while rx 7600 xt cost 300$. I dont think it is worth it to add extra 60$. It performs similar performance.
Turn down some settings to medium/high, and you got some decent 1440p entry level gpus.
The 7600 - while not a *great* card - deserves more love than it gets.
it's basically a 6700 xt, if only they managed to lower the power usage like they used to with newer graphic card, so far power consumption and noise are in the level of 6700 xt. Just hoping if the new architecture implemented RDNA 3 would get some boost in persay Smart access memory or rebar or better FSR perfomance/quality maybe.
It's not a 6700xt at all man , what are you talking about it's not even reaching 6700 performance
@@flushfirethats the 6700 though not the 6700 xt which they were talking about. The xt is the better 6700 xt is the better card
"Trust me they have been working on the 5090 for over a year already"

My next card for sure. Hard to beat at the price point

rx 7600 seems to have a higher power intake no?
it need undervol and no problem
6650T, 55 degrees at 1000 fan speed. 6700 is 70 degrees at 1600 fan speed. You can buy 6650 just because it is quiet.
please make a video on rx 6650 xt ryzen 5 5600 (non x) combo
There's many videos on this combo, it's really good: th-cam.com/video/uUA0lGLbhkQ/w-d-xo.html
Difference between 5600 and 5600x is pretty much nonexistent anyways.
a closer comparison would have been 7600 vs 6700 and even then i would have gone with the 6700 cause it requires less watts. this current amd genenration sucks just like the nvidia 40 series. the previous one could give nvidia 30 series a run for its money
There is no 6700 in his region. It is not a widely available card, much less at the price everyone thinks it sells for.
Get a 6750xt for the gpu or downgrade the cpu to an i5 12400f or i5 13th
6650xt cost 25 usd cheaper at my place
That was the msrp price! Is silly compared today prices vs msrp of the 7600 thats is unfair! Has to be msrp vs mrsp

Same ish performance with 6650 less hot and less power, could oc easillyy
Problem again with the VRAM though, on most of the games 7gb is used and higher resolution or one year will cause 8gb
U're wrong
Same performance, but 7600 consumes around 20 watt more
In india 7600 is cheaper than 6650 xt. Tell me what to buy
Which ever is cheaper tbh the difference in fps is so slight also the 7600 uses more power so you might have to get a slightly better power supply as well if you go with the 7600 I chose the 7600 for my build tho
How much psu you used
@SKULLDEMONn1093 I’m getting a 7500f as my cpu so I’m going with a 750 watt but i kinda depends on your cpu as well I would say 750 watt to be safe but if you have a lower end cpu you can prolly get away with a 650 watt go to google and type your cpu and your gpu and ask what wattage and google should recommend a decent psu
Rx 7600 consumes more electricity than it does performance
after undervolt is super 120 - 140 watt only and 1-10 fps loss only
