Everyone knows that, here at CBR, we’ve been making predictions about Avengers: Endgame since...well, since the second we finished watching Avengers: Infinity War, but we don’t mind admitting that there were a few moments that took us by surprise. Everyone knew that Captain Marvel was a bit of a wild card going into the movie, but there’s one aspect of Carol Danvers we weren’t quite expecting. Sure, we had guessed the movie would involve the Quantum Realm and time travel, but we definitely weren’t ready to see Tony Stark and Scott Lang bungle their interaction with Loki so badly!
And when it comes to the Mad Titan Thanos, he’s known for surprising us, but we did find his fate, or should we say fates, pretty shocking. We knew someone was going to meet their end on Vormir in order to retrieve the Soul Stone, but we definitely didn’t expect to see this particular character meet their end. There were many of us who suspected Steve Rogers wouldn’t make it through to Phase Four, but we were still surprised to see who became the new Captain America.
There’ve always been tons of fan theories circulating throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems like few movies generated as many as Avengers: Infinity War. Yeah, that was the worst part of this movie for me (other than Hawkeye becoming a killer). Also she didn't get to fight in this movie. R.I.P. Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow💐😢

What broke my heart was that Peter finally called him Tony while he was dying
I cried every time I saw Peter Parker on that screen. Over the course of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, I started to grow an emotional attachment to not only Peter Parker/ Spider-Man but also Tom Holland.
I believe Tony also said his name when he went in for the hug. He said something very quiet before Peter said, "Wait, what are you-", and with how short it was, it was likely Peter's name. Buuuut that can't be confirmed until the transcript is released.

I honestly felt it would have been more impactful for Clint to have died, confirming a theory that there was an unrequited love on Nat’s part - and also breaking typical female stereotypes of sacrificing herself by instead her offing her greatest love for the greater good.
But that moment when all the ladies came together was a battle cry in my soul. I loved it. ❤️
When thanos tried to snap at the end some guy in my theatre yelled out “PYSCH!!!!” I totally lost it 😂😂

They didn't include a lot of Captain Marvel because it wasn't her story. They were wrapping up the original casts stories. She'd take the focus off of who they wanted the story to be about.

I think they didn't hold a funeral for Nat because her body and soul were taken away. Tbh that's a really dark ending when you think about it, at least everyone witnessed Tony's death. Nat's body is in the middle of nowhere. Such a lack of justice to her character to the point where I refuse to believe that she won't be resurrected at some point. She's been in over 7 films...

Fuhj i would find that unlikely, i know the deal was “a soul for a soul”, but I don’t think it’s just a deal where they can just borrow it for a while, use it to change the universe, then hand it back and completely invalidate the price it demanded. Actually, keeping Tony Stark alive is the key. That's why Dr. Strange sacrificed the Time Stone to save Tony. Even if the rat push the right button and save Antman but Tony Stark is already dead during Infinity war...without him (Tony) there will be no time travel and finger snapping.

Cap was able to lift mjolnir the whole time. The hammer works in absolutes, either you are worthy or you're not. When cap got it to wiggle, he realized that he WAS worthy but kept pretending like he couldn't to not embarrass Thor. That's why when he does lift it in Endgame Thor exclaims "I knew it!" Because he knew cap could actually lift it. Hence why Thor looked so worried when he saw it wiggle.

it's clever how they introduced Captain Marvel, they had her at key moments without stealing the thunder from the original avengers, Endgame is the original Avenger's swansong, so it's only right that they have the main focus before handing the torch to the "young blood" as what was mentioned by stark to Danvers

The best scenes in Endgame were when Cap lifted Thor's hammer and he said "Avengers Assemble".

Loki is off on another timeline, but remains dead in the current timeline. Gamora, yes, she is alive because she came to the current timeline but was never sent back

Steve’s ending was beautiful. As for Captain Marvel, it would have been wrong to use her more. This had to be the original Avengers.

@@iii1298 I liked how she was introduced late in the movie again. They already knew from the start of the movie, that the "snap" releases huge amounts of energy. So Danvers must've felt it when Hulk used the gauntlet.

I honestly thought it was really sweet that Steve got to live the life he’d always dreamed of with Peggy. Plus, he finally fulfilled his promise.
So does that mean Chris Evans is going to retire? For all I know they can use that Machine they used on antman that made him into a baby or the older version of himself and use it on Captain America to give him the strength back, but since he gave the shield to falcon, i dont know.

I cried it’s so bittersweet, like he got to live his happy life but returned to his old family old, with no more to give without Peggy and not with his family for years.
Here's the problem: in the movie it was clarified that you were going into a different realities past rather than *your* past, which makes sense, because in your past, future you wasn't there. But if that's true, how did Cap reappear at the end of the film through the natural passage of time? And if he was in the actual past, with the butterfly effect his presence would have affected and changed everything... major problem they made there

Endgame was the best mcu movie ever (even better than infinity war for me) , fan-service was great and 11-year story built finally had a well-deserved conclusion. Going forward to phase 4 it is very difficult to imagine any mcu film beating endgame. It will stand out and will be talked in future for being a spectacular masterpiece. I am very glad I am in this era to witness this greatness.

Both the Mjolnir and Thor have the powers of Thor. Odin even says when he puts the spell on the hammer "Whoever shall be worthy to wield the hammer, shall gain the powers of thor." The hammer helped thor control his powers, but the hammer grants his powers to whoever wields it.

My theory is that in AoU Cap knew he could lift the hammer and kept quiet about it. His lift was fake, he tried not to lift it but didn't realise how light it would be and slid it accidentally. Out of the goodness of his heart he didn't want to out-do Thor. Would explain why he knew he could lift it in Endgame.
I am more concerned in the alternate Thor universe, how will he fight if the Drunken Thor took Mjolnir to the current timeline.
Also I am surprised that Thor is more emotional seeing his mother alive a few minutes before the Dark Elves killed her than reuniting with Jane Foster

Mia Ndlovu No, because in the mcu, time travel dosent work like that. There are billions of different timelines so in another time line, nebula would still be dead but not in the mcu timeline. So basically in the mcu, if u change the past, it dosent change ur present. It changes another timeline.
