Captain America is one of Marvel's most popular superheroes - and he's become more popular than ever since Chris Evans started playing the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2011.
By now, pretty much everyone knows the basics of the character - the fact that he was a World War II soldier who had his physical attributes enhanced to the peak of human potential using an experimental serum - but there's actually a lot more than that to the man otherwise known as Steve Rogers.
In this video, we'll tell you why Captain America is far more powerful than you ever thought he was.
You see, Captain America may have already demonstrated that he has greater willpower than Thanos.
Remember when he stopped the Mad Titan in his tracks, just after he arrived on Earth in Avengers: Infinity War? That might have been because Cap's willpower gave him a greater control over the Infinity Gauntlet than the prune-chinned intergalactic despot!
But Cap also has more superpowers and abilities than most people know about, such as super-eyesight and immunity to all diseases and toxins.
But his true superpower might be his insistence on not changing who he is. He wasn't compromised by physical power. He's more focused on changing society than he is on changing himself.

When Cap stood all alone in front of the entire Thanos Army, when he picked up the hammer, AND obv when he finally said "Avengers Assemble".

Yeah that was kinda lame.. because when Cap said "Avengers, assemble", they were already assembled and ready to go to war.
It was him securing his shield with sheer determination in his eyes despite him being hurt with a broken shield. That scene was fantastic.

@Rafael Vargas That was a great callback to Winter Soldier, but the Russo's also wrote and directed that film, so it was essentially patting themselves on the back which is somewhat less impressive - kinda the opposite of Cap himself to be so braggerdly.
I love how before cap knew that he'd have backup he still strapped his shield and readied himself for a battle against thanos and the chitauri army all by himself. That man has courage

Cap again reminded me why he is my favorite. His fight with Thanos was my favorite part of the movie+ when he stood courageously all alone in front of the whole Thanos army. Nothing could beat that.

The superpower of Captain America is Steve Rogers Himself!!
The amount of good he has inside, knowing that he is a lean guy who will be beaten up badly but still has the courage to stand up again and again...knowing that his physical conditions don't allow him to but still wants to serve his country by joining army, He hates bullies and most important and all this is before the serum..
And after the serum...that guy is same as he was before....not even a 1% boastfulness of him being one of the strongest humans on the planet...stopping a helicopter with his bare hands,fighting ironman with his suit on and friday confirms that he can't beat Cap in hand to hand combat!!

Actually no one knows how long he has been walking on the earth when he went back and return infinity stones and mjolnir. The serum might just slowed down the aging so much, he might actually been living more than hundreds of years on the other universe, before he came back to the main universe looking old.

He stands up after getting thrown by Thanos, prepares himself to fight Thanos and his entire army which is huge, he plans on fighting them by himself, he is worthy of mjolnir not because of his strength. He holds Thanos fist when Thanos contains 5 stones, and though Tony snapped, I bet that if Cap was there it would’ve been him who snapped, same with vormir if he was the one who went to vormir instead of Natasha he would’ve jumped without taking a second to think through it. He stood up to bullies even though he was half their size.
No cap wouldn't snap because he isn't that selfless. But Iron man is. He won't snap. He doesn't know how to snap. There is only 1 possibility to win. He won't jump the cliff. HE ISN'T THAT SELFLESS.

Cap had the best trilogy of the Big 3, imo.
Civil War is not really fair though. It’s more of an avengers movie than a captain American movie. The Iron Man trilogy had very little crossover heroes in his films only black widow. Thor basically got a whole movie with hulk. Cap had solo movie, A movie with black widow, and a movie with pretty much everyone other than hulk and Thor.

Steve Rogers said "I can do this all day" even before taking the serum, so it wasn't exactly the serum that made him "practically immune to fatigue".
The serum 'enhanced' his endurance and his [already] indomitable will... so that he truly could "do this all day."
I never cared for cap when the mcu started.. now he's one of my favorite marvel heroes and one of the best . Pure will and heart
They needed to create a super-soldier serum to finally make Steve's outside match what is already inside.
It's what annoys me about people who use the "everything special about you came from a bottle"-line. Steve was given the "bottle" BECAUSE he was special.

There's a HUGE character evolution bomb waiting to go off on Captain America. They touch on this in the video. The serum also enhanced his brain to the point that it's essentially an organic supercomputer. He has a photographic memory and the ability to think hundreds of times faster than a normal human. This is the secret to why his shield always returns to him after he throws it. In the moment he throws his shield, he performs dozens of complex calculations to determine how to throw it (angle, spin, speed, etc.) to get it to bounce off of everything in the room (including moving objects) and return to his hand at the end.
So, how does this make a character evolution bomb? Well, with Steve's brainpower, he could literally walk into a physics library and learn EVERYTHING in an afternoon if he wanted to. Give him a week to study all the latest trends in science and engineering and he would have Tony Stark level skills. Give him two weeks and access to a few advanced alien artifacts (which he DOES have access to) and he'll be the galaxy's most advanced engineer.
ALSO, as we learn from reading Dr. Strange, magic isn't necessarily an in-born ability. It can be LEARNED as a skill. Give Steve access to the Sanctum Sanctorum and a couple of weeks studying under Dr. Strange, and Steve will be the new Sorcerer Supreme!
Now we're talking about a person with Super Soldier stats with gear BEYOND Stark Tech and wielding BEYOND Dr. Strange levels of magical power. He would be the good-guy equivalent of Dr. Doom, but so much more powerful than Doom that Doom would look like a lad playing with his first magic trick kit. He would be a Universal Threat level character on par with the Celestials and the Cosmic Beings.

Two weeks out of the 1940's and Steve went from "It appears to run on some form of electricity," to brushing the dust off his hands in completion real quick.
It's his humility: the fact that a team is a more effective force mulplier than and his overall 'less is more' philosophy that doesn't even make him consider becoming a single 'master of all trades'.
Chris Evans was perfectly cast as Captain America. Will miss him!!
Captain America's greatest power? Badass attitude whenever he walks on the scene! His entrance in Infinity War to save Wanda and Vision had the movie theater audience cheering. Even his entrance in Thanos' home in Endgame (yes, Thanos' HOME) was cocky (in a good way). But him yielding Thor's hammer and beating Thanos' ass with the shield and hammer - that was just inspirational.

One minor correction: Cap can indeed dodge bullets. On many occasions he's dodged automatic machine gunfire from multiple sources at once. He's dodged single pistol fire with ease and has even dodged a shotgun blast at point blank range (which makes Batman tagging him with a batarang in Marvel vs DC utterly laughable). He's said it himself; he sees faster than the bullet.
I will miss Steve Rogers but Sam Wilson will make a great Captain America.

4:08 “his aging is practically halted” seems to be quite the wrong assumption, if you have seen the ending of Endgame.
"Practically" he's about 70 in endgame so even after he does his thing it falls in line.

MCU is its own universe separate from the comics. MCU stays as true as they can to the source material, but they decided to age Cap.
A good point to bring up in regards to cap's artistic skill is that its a great measure of his visual recall and spatial ability. Something that is obviously a huge assest in strategy and combat.
Finally, a vid that displays Cap’s other ‘powers’ that puts him at least on the same level as Iron Man! Captain America has been slowly been developed from a Batman level Super Hero, to a much more powerful Super Hero over the years! The MCU was very careful to slowly show his abilities in each and every film that he’s in. Captain America is the heart of the MCU! No. 1, no question!
