Thank you so much for documenting this project! I've learned so much already. Superexcited to use this knowledge in working towards my own build, hopefully soon. You did an amazing job in this learning course. Thank you again!
Beautifully filmed, edited, written and narrated!!! I was curious as to how the different planes of each roof section were joined up as you can’t see that once the soil/living roof materials are in place. The build deserved a nicer skylight finish, but that was obviously not your issue! Hopefully they found a nicer solution by now. This series of videos has been outstanding!! Thank you!!!
Mud mud, glorious mud. Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood! So, follow come follow, down to the hollow, and there we will wallow in glorious mud!
Thanks for the video! This is a beautiful build! Just some small details seem to me like they're not gonna last more than five years, like the waterproofing (especially the installation of the drainage pipe), the glass roof or the open facial board. Which is a pity, since there has been so much effort put into the project and the longevity of it depends fully on staying dry! Saving money, of all things, on the waterproofing of one's clay building is something I would strongly advise against... Also when using natural logs it's always best to remove the bark because this is where insects will go first, but I understand it might have been too much work. Anyways - stunning result and I learned quite a bit from it :)
I've been thinking about this exact thing since years, not knowing what to call it or how to structure it. Just played around with it in my mind, i reallocate can't thank you enough for documenting and sharing this with the world. Now i know what to call it too and how to go about making my eco friendly domicile. Cheers 🥂
Thank you so much for these series of such quality videos, much appreciated. I will build my first cob house this year and information presented here is so valuable, in terms of technical information, getting some new ideas and feeling more confident that i can do it.
Sitting on the rafters is OK, but what about if a very strong wind comes up UNDER the overhang of the roof? I live where there are strong winds and tornadoes, so these type of winds are a concern.
Thanks for sharing this Home Building 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Such valuable videos! Thank you so much! 🤍💫
Thank you!! 🙏

great video... A tall Charlie stick and lowering the roof would be easier?
