Breaks my heart to know that gentle old handsome boy was worked so mercilessly and then discarded when he couldn't go another step. And I hope all those who treat animals that way will equally suffer at some point in their life! Thank you for showing him respect and kindness.
I think so too - these people treat this old poor gigants so bad I can't understand. These people are not human - they are devil on two feet. I don't know things about the amish - I live in South West of Germany I'm not Christian but I know God will punish these devil.
Gravity is no friend to these gentle giants. They are so massive and have some specialized bodies with so much of their bulk is right over the front legs. Old age combined with past abuse really takes a toll on these magnificent horses. *GOD BLESS YOU. You're doing God's work.* I hope your hearts are feeling much better after the trauma of losing Amara. She touched my heart profoundly.
He says sorry for nearly causing you a heart attack. He really loves being there. Thank you. He is a lovey dovey giant. He is so thankful you rescued him. Me too.
Every time I watch this clip I am still amazed at how intelligent Liam is! He knows the vet is trying to help him when he stands so quietly for the steroid injections, which have to hurt in those tender arthritic areas of his legs and feet! It is SO apparent what love and caring attention have done for this horse! 'Brings tears to my eye......
Julie, I just realized why Liam wanted to "sit in your lap" during this video. Since he can't see anyone around while you are talking, he must think you are talking to him!

I have these same issues, in a place calledJemez NM up at the Soda Dam there is some hot water comes from the earth and since I was a kid people soak there feet in it, I gave it a try and for some reason works well for me and a lot of others , I'd build this guy a pool and get some of that water heat it up I bet he'd like it you never know, but he should talk to the vet and maybe up the dose on the meds to watch this poor guy walk around makes me hurt ! I had a dog that had leg injury and he got some hot swimming tank time helped him recover and I didn't have to bath him except for later started liking those hot baths too much you just never know what will help but he's a great looking guy and seems he has a good sense of humor!
Those eyelashes! He's such a good-looking horse... And such a character! He must have been full of beans when he was younger. And it's really good to see his hogged mane growing back in. He is clearly relaxed and enjoying himself at your Farm! Thank you for making a difference to these horses' lives 💛🧡❤️🧡💛
When I was a teenager I had this horse at the local stables. When I’d go to be with my horse, I noticed there was this older, big chestnut quarter horse who seemed really neglected in his stall. We got hold of the owners and I got permission to take care of him and exercise him. Billy had a lot of arthritis and inflammation, and he was stiff and limping. Our vet suggested a ground yucca supplement that was sold for just such a thing. Within 3 weeks, 95% of his limp went away. We could tell he was feeling good! I have no idea whether anything like this could help Liam, but I figured I’d mention it just in case. Best wishes to you and all of your amaaaaaazing gorgeous horses!!
Liam is such a cheeky character!. The way he leisurely investigated the barn after the surprise of finding the gate open😉😂 Its so lovely to see your smile back and enjoying the horses after the heart break with Amara. As always thank you for the love and care you give these retirees Julie Corey and the BHF Congratulations on 20K subscriptions
Liam is so good looking since he came to your farm. Thank you for helping him so much with all his medical treatments. I have arthritis and can sympathize with Liam and his pain and stiffness. He’s so beautiful. I thought he was very clever the way he kicked out his gate to escape into the barn. Bless you all 💗💗💗🙏🌠🐴
Liam is so funny and smart! I too have arthritis so I know what it can be like but I also know there are ways to manage it. Thank you for watching, we appreciate your support.
Julie said she has arthritis, too, and it seems like everyone has it nowadays. Julie, if you read my post here, I take Vit. D3 with Vit. K2 (MK-7 with Mena, 45 mcg) which together pull the calcium out of the blood stream and put it in the bones where it belongs. Our drinking water in Cali. has fluoride which actually gets stuck in the bones and causes the arthritis to start with.
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo Oh yes, Liam is very smart. Its so sad to me when the farmers who had these beautiful horses and worked them nearly to death then just disgard them. LOL knowing horses like I do, he probably leaned against the fence or the gate to scratch and quickly realized how "weak" it was LOL He knew just where he needed to hit to open it too lol why my dad built "the field" around a storage building my mom used for her garden supplies I will never know. Anyway, I had this horse who anytime he caught my mom in the building, he would go back up against the door and wouldnt let her out LOL I would have to bribe him with a treat to get him away from the door! One time I was in the pool and didnt hear her for like 2 hours!! LOL after that she'd come get me before she went in the building

Liam is such a big beautiful boy - I loved how he kicked that door open and slowly decided, well, if its open, may as well have a nosey around - taking his time 🤣🤣 he did leave it a bit devistated, but he needed that extra stimulation, so, he let you know. Poor boy, hobbles around just like me - I know how he feels. I hope the accupuncture works for him. Good he didnt fall down that hole, or that the other retirees didnt pick on him. Love his nose too. He ist just gorgeous 🐎💕💕💕. Great to see you smile again, even if he almost gave you a heart attack Julie, it was worth it. 💕

Liam has just blossomed since he's been with you and Cory, Julie! Who would have thought he'd have such a playful personality after all he's been through?! Its miraculous what you are doing for these beauties!
Yeah, he struggles to lumber along and carry his heavy body, but the steroid injections do seem to elevate his mood, he grooms with Dutch, and calls out to Julie for morning feed. By the way, acupuncture lasts a long time; it re-regulates the nerve connections which are dysregulated.

Hello Cory & Julie I was wandering is there any kind of lake Liam could go swimming I thought it just help with arthritis in his legs ?? I loved the video he said I am tried of being in here , he speaks his mind Liam is a A gorgeous horse ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰
My horse would ALWAYS put his two front feet in the water trough right after I finished cleaning it. I mean EVERY time. And he INSISTED on drinking from the hose and would do so as long as I let him. Some horses have so much personality, and Liam seems to be one. ❤
Any animal who's rescued, knows it and is grateful. I laughed at him being a stinker wondering around the barn. Confirms you're doing a great job! Thank you!
@FletcherFarmsAmarillo We recently adopted a senior German Shepard from our local shelter. His personality has blossomed and makes us laugh daily! His favorite toys are squeaky toys, which he loves to play with. Maybe Liam could use a hanging play ball to bat around in his stall?? You all are the best!

Julie.....Thank you for the update on Liam. He and Amara are kind of my favorites (love everything on the farm, really!) .. Liam & Amara both have really white forelocks, manes & tails that look like they had permanents and more gold in their coats & taller than the others. Oh my gosh! I know! It's hilarious now but was terrifying when it happened. And the area around the house where he was at is not fenced yet! Thank goodness he stayed in the barn!
I walk like Liam sometimes so I feel his every step. I just love him so much. I have been around lots of horses but never one of this size. WOW! There is more horse to love. He is a stunner and it is so nice to see him walking easier. I dont remember how old he is but watching him get up after laying down...he looks so young and happy. Thank you so much for giving him that.
He's a beautiful horse, love his long white mane, he's such a sweet and affectionate horse, love the blond eyelashes!! Boys will be boys! ❤❤ thank you!
Love how Liam show his cuteness troublemaker side ( he needs to learn to do it safely), he all so shows his determination to do what he wants, just like the other Majestic Horses that are on the farm, I to have arthritis and know what the horses that are going through!!!
Aww bless him! He is stiff on those legs, poor sweet boy. I found devils claw very good; also r and a formula cod liver oil. I hope you have a good result with the acupuncture. It’s worth trying different approaches till you get something that works for your horse. He’s obviously enjoying life, despite stiff old joints. Bless you for looking after these lovely creatures.
I so love seeing young kind-hearted individuals winning the affection of these old hard-worked horses...bringing them back to a healthy weight and enjoying their last years together.
I love what you are doing with these beautiful giant horses. Thank you so much for this video and for the beautiful final pics of Liam's nose and his big hug. Really, really touched my heart.
Dear Julie and Corey presently i saw your way from the first - these little Jack - to now the big adventure with Liam he looks so great full. Please excuse my simple and bad English i learned it long years ago in school. I live in the black forest in Germany. In my mind i think about the old Grandpa - fighting against the colic - Amara lay down to die and the biggest heartache was the last way with poor poor Lucky. He went as like he was in a hurry with Corey and Dr. Wagner on his Side. Maybe he feels the pain will be ending. Always i think about that i have tears in my eyes and I have great heartache. Please don't stop your insert stay healthy and thanks. You are often in my mind
Your channel has brought me to tears with the help you've brought to all these lovely draft horses and other souls who have suffered so much abuse o ly to be retired to a slaughter pen. Oh Julie what a wonderful character Liam is...and an escape artist🤣.. I am so pleased you have posted this video..the last one with Amara absolutely broke my heart..for you and Cory and for Amara letting you know she has had enough.. but back to this guy..those blond eyelashes..heartbreaker material right there.. his is just so funny..especially in the water..what a goofball..poor boy is in pain..I have osteoarthritis so I know exactly how he feels..some days worst than others...watching his escape video slomo showed how stiff he is but that doesn't stop him from enjoying all that life has to offer..his has friends equine and human and fans galore!!!.. he is a very special boy..what an addition to your wonderful group of retirees.. I know a lot of people would say euthanize him as he is in pain but they'd be WRONG..he CLEARLY is enjoying his life to the MAX. . What you and Cory do for these wonderful animals is amazing Julie.. I look forward to seeing your updates to see how they all are getting on..I love them all..but I must say Liam is my favourite. .great about the acupuncture..I've seen it do wonders for horses in other videos..and it won't be as painful as those steroid injections into the bones. Take it from me. .they bloody hurt..but after a few days the relief they give you is worth it..take care of yourself. .🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏👍👏🐎🐎😃🇺🇸
The big boy looks gorgeous! And he is a character 😂 And an escape artist! So glad he didn’t get hurt on his stunt… Obviously Liam loves water! I was impressed how he gets up after rolling. It looks like he had arthritis going on for quite some time. So glad it is manageable for now and he can enjoy life now safe with you!
What a great pet Liam would've been, if he'd been born, or sold, into a different situation when he was younger! So intelligent and full of character, and a comfortable ride for someone, maybe an older person like myself, who would've been happy ambling around.
He’s such a beautiful big teddy bear of a horse. Such a curious, playful, happy fellow now that he’s getting pain control and lots of loving.
He is walking so much better. It is painful to watch the earlier videos. What a character.
He still has good days and bad days. But seems much better these days. When he’s tired he takes a nap.

Oh my gosh he is gorgeous. He has such a character. I wish I could kiss that beautiful nose 😊 I just love him. Please give him a huge hug from me. You are doing a fantastic job. Thank you so much all the way from South Africa. ❤
I love my (2) T-shirts.. Love the quality and color (yours & Blue)
What a goofball. 😂😂❤
Such an enjoyable video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
He has a lovely streak of knowing what he wants and sticking with it!
How fortunate these horses are to have you; how fortunate you are to have them .
It’s possible he was looking for you because I think he bonded with you ♥️
My horse would ALWAYS put his two front feet in the water trough right after I finished cleaning it. I mean EVERY time. And he INSISTED on drinking from the hose and would do so as long as I let him. Some horses have so much personality, and Liam seems to be one. ❤
Hysterical.
So happy with all ur care
Go Liam the big golden boy!
Awwwwwlllll I NEED A BIG LIAM KISS TOOOOO LOL!💙💙💙💙He's so wonderful and sweet. Thank you for going the extra mile to help these guys!!
You are so kind! I will give him kisses for you! Thank you for watching!
Any animal who's rescued, knows it and is grateful. I laughed at him being a stinker wondering around the barn. Confirms you're doing a great job! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
@@chrismack5908I have a 9yr old that came 2 me 6mo ago. Lost 2 homes to C19. About to send an update email to prev owners and tell them the good news is she feels comfortable enough 2b bad; the bad news is ..
Always a milestone. Usually takes a but longer. Initial casualties 1 banana stolen right out of the grocery bag, nicely peeled b4 being devoured and 3/4 of a pumpkin pie( thank God it was pumpkin ). Darn I was so looking forward to a piece of pie w my coffee.😊😅🤣😂
Just one more comment LOL look at Liam looking at that camera like he's at his own personal photo shoot! I believe that I have found my favorite horse on the planet right now LOL LOL! I just love him.
Thank you! He is a ham when the camera comes out!
He’s amazing! Thanks for the update 💕❤💕❤💕
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching!
I cant believe you have either the time or energy to milk goats. Julie has superpowers!
What a fun boy! Love to see them get into safe trouble. Imagine what a stinker he was as a youngster. Great personality!
ACCUPUNCTURE SAVED OUR DOG!! it was a miracle. I hope Liam's results are as dramatic as our were.
I have read so many things about it helping animals and I am hoping for the same thing!
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo make sure its an expert, not all practioners have real training in chinese medicine 😊
@@ellenmuseum Dr Hardy has been doing acupuncture for 7 years and chiropractic for 10. She was out yesterday and was amazing. New video on the appointment this week! 😉
Beautify boy. Love his eye lashes! ❤️
He is so handsome and curious and nosy ❤
Her is ever so cute and love his blonde eyelashes😊❤
Oh my goodness!!! Will you look at the gorgeous eyelashes of Liam's, they are stunning!!!!! He looks so much better.....
He is such a sweet guy and I can tell he really likes you. ❤️❤️
Smart boy he's so clever
Julie.....Thank you for the update on Liam. He and Amara are kind of my favorites (love everything on the farm, really!) .. Liam & Amara both have really white forelocks, manes & tails that look like they had permanents and more gold in their coats & taller than the others. Also have super sweet personalities Sure hope Liam gets to enjoy his retirement now that the steroid injections seem to be working. After his walk-a-bout he seems comfortable with the place & the routine! Thanks for all your updates....they are tremendousley enjoyed. God bless
He is my favorite one what a personality. You guys are great!
LMAO oh noooooo I'm dying😂😂😂😂😂😂 I literally think that is the funniest and most cute thing I've ever seen! Apparently he thought he was still locked up LOL because he just didn't know what to do with himself that is so so funny I'm glad he's okay though that could turn really sour fast thank God his angels are looking out for him!🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴
Oh my gosh! I know! It's hilarious now but was terrifying when it happened. And the area around the house where he was at is not fenced yet! Thank goodness he stayed in the barn!
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo we had a little mustang mare when I was about 12...she should have been named Houdini lol
Get well, Liam. We are rooting for you.
Liam IS the most beautiful boy❤️🤗
He's a beautiful horse, love his long white mane, he's such a sweet and affectionate horse, love the blond eyelashes!! Boys will be boys! ❤❤ thank you!
Thank you so much!
Lil' stinker lol. Such an impressive and handsome horse!
He's absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love how Liam show his cuteness troublemaker side ( he needs to learn to do it safely), he all so shows his determination to do what he wants, just like the other Majestic Horses that are on the farm, I to have arthritis and know what the horses that are going through!!!
I have arthritis too so we both limp together some days 🤣
What a big lovebug - he certainly enjoys the friendly interactions. He's so cuddly and adorable makes me just want to give him a big bear hug!
I love Liam's personality! Glad to see he gets out and about!
Us too! We were really worried about him when he first arrived here.
It’s such a joy, to see all the horses coming up to you, looking for some affection❤✌🏻
What a beautiful boy!
I love what you are doing with these beautiful giant horses. Thank you so much for this video and for the beautiful final pics of Liam's nose and his big hug. Really, really touched my heart.
Thank you for watching! We appreciate your support and following our story!
Aww Liam even in slow mo you can tell . Proud of him for the escape though lol I'm glad he's ok
Dear Julie and Corey presently i saw your way from the first - these little Jack - to now the big adventure with Liam he looks so great full. Please excuse my simple and bad English i learned it long years ago in school. I live in the black forest in Germany. It's a matter of my heart to thank you and your husband for your great full mission to help this poor tortured horses.
I can't take it. Even the part where the slaughter area was shown made me cry. I love your organization and how you design the videos for people to see the whole story and explain . I love Freya. What a lovely name to begin with. You know them all by just looking. It's amazing. Keep up your work I'd like to donate. Anything to help these beautiful creatures
Oh thank you so much! That means a lot to us! We appreciate your support. I really wish I could save every horse that ends up at the kill pens. It's just not fair for the horses. We will save the ones we can and give them the retirement life they deserve.
Thank you for letting me start my day with this big sweet boy.
Any time! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
What a gorgeous boy, he seems very content with his new life 🥰
Thank you!
He is very cute and obviously enjoying his life with you all!
❤Julie you and your husband are really special people. That big beautiful horse really loves you.
God keep him safe. He is still smart. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for the prayers and watching our video.
He sure seems like a nice guy with lots of personality! It's good to see him moving around as much as he can.
What a big beautiful guy Liam is..God Bless you all at Fletcher Farms😊😊😊
Love watching you and your horses. Thanks for being their caretaker. Bought a Tshirt and a Hoodie. Hope it helps.
Liam is one Gorgeous horse! His walking has gotten so much better! Thank you for saving this Gorgeous horse!
God Bless
The big boy looks gorgeous! And he is a character 😂 And an escape artist! So glad he didn’t get hurt on his stunt… Obviously Liam loves water! I was impressed how he gets up after rolling. It looks like he had arthritis going on for quite some time. So glad it is manageable for now and he can enjoy life now safe with you!
What a great pet Liam would've been, if he'd been born, or sold, into a different situation when he was younger! So intelligent and full of character, and a comfortable ride for someone, maybe an older person like myself, who would've been happy ambling around.
What a stinker😮 I love his color I bet you before your arthritis and old age struck him he was magnificent but a handful
