Breaks my heart to know that gentle old handsome boy was worked so mercilessly and then discarded when he couldn't go another step. And I hope all those who treat animals that way will equally suffer at some point in their life! Thank you for showing him respect and kindness.
I think so too - these people treat this old poor gigants so bad I can't understand. These people are not human - they are devil on two feet. I don't know things about the amish - I live in South West of Germany I'm not Christian but I know God will punish these devil.

Yeah, he struggles to lumber along and carry his heavy body, but the steroid injections do seem to elevate his mood, he grooms with Dutch, and calls out to Julie for morning feed. Very young, I had the FM and the acupuncture actually got rid of it. Glad to hear Dr. Waggoner is going to try it, or was it MVP? Poor boy, hobbles around just like me - I know how he feels. I hope the accupuncture works for him. Good he didnt fall down that hole, or that the other retirees didnt pick on him. Love his nose too. My horse would ALWAYS put his two front feet in the water trough right after I finished cleaning it. I mean EVERY time. And he INSISTED on drinking from the hose and would do so as long as I let him. Some horses have so much personality, and Liam seems to be one. ❤

When I was a teenager I had this horse at the local stables. When I’d go to be with my horse, I noticed there was this older, big chestnut quarter horse who seemed really neglected in his stall. We got hold of the owners and I got permission to take care of him and exercise him. Billy had a lot of arthritis and inflammation, and he was stiff and limping. Our vet suggested a ground yucca supplement that was sold for just such a thing. Within 3 weeks, 95% of his limp went away. We could tell he was feeling good! I have no idea whether anything like this could help Liam, but I figured I’d mention it just in case. Best wishes to you and all of your amaaaaaazing gorgeous horses!!

Very young, I had the FM and the acupuncture actually got rid of it. Glad to hear Dr. Waggoner is going to try it, or was it MVP? By the way, acupuncture lasts a long time; it re-regulates the nerve connections which are dysregulated.
It’s possible he was looking for you because I think he bonded with you ♥️
Too funny. He really has his own personality. Thank you for sharing.🐴
LMAO oh noooooo I'm dying😂😂😂😂😂😂 I literally think that is the funniest and most cute thing I've ever seen! Apparently he thought he was still locked up LOL because he just didn't know what to do with himself that is so so funny I'm glad he's okay though that could turn really sour fast thank God his angels are looking out for him!🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴
Oh my gosh! I know! It's hilarious now but was terrifying when it happened. And the area around the house where he was at is not fenced yet! Thank goodness he stayed in the barn!
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo we had a little mustang mare when I was about 12...she should have been named Houdini lol
He's absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤
Thank you!
I adore every one of those horses. I vote Liam to be your Horse of the Year! He is such a clown and so nice. What a rep for your organization. Thanks.
Just one more comment LOL look at Liam looking at that camera like he's at his own personal photo shoot! I believe that I have found my favorite horse on the planet right now LOL LOL! I just love him.
Thank you! He is a ham when the camera comes out!
Liam is such a big beautiful boy - I loved how he kicked that door open and slowly decided, well, if its open, may as well have a nosey around - taking his time 🤣🤣 he did leave it a bit devistated, but he needed that extra stimulation, so, he let you know. Poor boy, hobbles around just like me - I know how he feels. I hope the accupuncture works for him. Good he didnt fall down that hole, or that the other retirees didnt pick on him. Love his nose too. He ist just gorgeous 🐎💕💕💕. Great to see you smile again, even if he almost gave you a heart attack Julie, it was worth it. 💕
Liam is such a handsome (and cute) boy. I just love his fluffy mane and those eyelashes!😮
Thank you so much for this update about Liam. After the time of grief about the loss of dear Amara it was so good to smile about this rascal who clandestinely went to explore the surrounding! He will be grateful for the comfy bed you made for him. And it is very nice to see the growing tails of the retired gentle giants on your pastures! 👍👍👍
Oh yes BIG Liam sure grew a nice tail!!❤
What a character Liam is❣️Thanks for taking care of him💋💋💋💋❣️☮️
He really is!
Your channel has brought me to tears with the help you've brought to all these lovely draft horses and other souls who have suffered so much abuse o ly to be retired to a slaughter pen. I can't take it. Even the part where the slaughter area was shown made me cry. I love your organization and how you design the videos for people to see the whole story and explain . I love Freya. What a lovely name to begin with. You know them all by just looking. It's amazing. Keep up your work I'd like to donate. Anything to help these beautiful creatures
Oh thank you so much! That means a lot to us! We appreciate your support. I really wish I could save every horse that ends up at the kill pens. It's just not fair for the horses. We will save the ones we can and give them the retirement life they deserve.
Awwwwwlllll I NEED A BIG LIAM KISS TOOOOO LOL!💙💙💙💙He's so wonderful and sweet. Thank you for going the extra mile to help these guys!!
You are so kind! I will give him kisses for you! Thank you for watching!
Go Liam the big golden boy!
What a beautiful boy!
I love Liam's personality! Glad to see he gets out and about!
Us too! We were really worried about him when he first arrived here.
What a goofball. 😂😂❤
Such an enjoyable video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Love how Liam show his cuteness troublemaker side ( he needs to learn to do it safely), he all so shows his determination to do what he wants, just like the other Majestic Horses that are on the farm, I to have arthritis and know what the horses that are going through!!!
I have arthritis too so we both limp together some days 🤣
Smart boy he's so clever
He’s amazing! Thanks for the update 💕❤💕❤💕
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching!
Julie, I love watching your videos. Liam is a sweetheart, I loved seeing him hug you. Please give him a hug and kiss for me. When I seen him next to your tractor I was like holy horse, he's a big boy. He's also a smart boy. God bless you for saving him and taking care of him.
My horse would ALWAYS put his two front feet in the water trough right after I finished cleaning it. I mean EVERY time. And he INSISTED on drinking from the hose and would do so as long as I let him. Some horses have so much personality, and Liam seems to be one. ❤
Thank you for letting me start my day with this big sweet boy.
Any time! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
I am rather knew to your channel, and can hardly believe how his gait has improved ! WOW, poor big lug could hardly move with half of the grace he has attained in your care !! So impressive and wonderful to see his movement so smooth in comparison! Well done !! Love this guy, what a precious spirit. And his exceptional lashes on his soft eyes. Handsome fella !!
Such a beautiful horse, it is heart breaking that he has such a painful body.
He has a lovely streak of knowing what he wants and sticking with it!
I love his gorgeous blonde eyelashes....he is easily your most handsome horse. And while he IS walking better, it is still hard to watch him with those stiff front legs, poor guy!
How fortunate these horses are to have you; how fortunate you are to have them .
Liam's whole countenance has changed since his pain has lessened and he's getting such good care and love. I bet he would enjoy a big ball to play with.
YES! I need to add those big balls to the amazon wishlist. I think we have a few horses that would like them.
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo on it!!!
Oh Liam!!! You are blessed that your humans are arranging Accupuncture. It is a wonderful therapy! Have utilized it for arthritis (hands) and headaches for about 25 yrs. Liam-- you behave now. That gate kick was just tooooo well executed for this to be a first time adventure. Can t fool me. ❤😅
@@mj.merdian3497 He doesn't fool us! I think he had done it before as well. After Liams acupuncture I plan to try it myself! I have heard such amazing things about it!
I love what you are doing with these beautiful giant horses. Thank you so much for this video and for the beautiful final pics of Liam's nose and his big hug. Really, really touched my heart.
Thank you for watching! We appreciate your support and following our story!
I walk like Liam sometimes so I feel his every step. I just love him so much. I have been around lots of horses but never one of this size. WOW! There is more horse to love. He is a stunner and it is so nice to see him walking easier. I dont remember how old he is but watching him get up after laying down...he looks so young and happy. Thank you so much for giving him that.
Hysterical.
So happy with all ur care
Liam is looking great, Julie! Just basking in your love & kindness... what a work load he must've had in his former life, poor sweetie 😔... arthritis can be so painful, and probably most senior horses have it in varying degrees, just like humans.
The acupuncture (& some healing warm massages?) should work some miracles...💛🙏🍀
Yeah, they worked him till he couldn't move any longer. People should be required to have a license to own a horse, and not be allowed to abuse them like this.
@@virtualselfie6899I agree. Great to see your kind words here and with our Friesian loves ❤👍
@@Schiffon Yvonne's channel and Julie's channel stand out as the best in equine TLC, and vet, farrier and dental health. I've cried my tears on both channels because I never get used to the harm people do to all kinds of animals or the loss of innocent foals . Wouter's loss as well as Julie's losses of Lucky and Amara were overwhelming. So, I wholeheartedly support the horse girls and non-profit organizations who dedicate their lives to living in The Light of empathy and compassion.
I cant believe you have either the time or energy to milk goats. Julie has superpowers!
Get well, Liam. We are rooting for you.
Julie.....Thank you for the update on Liam. He and Amara are kind of my favorites (love everything on the farm, really!) .. Liam & Amara both have really white forelocks, manes & tails that look like they had permanents and more gold in their coats & taller than the others. Also have super sweet personalities Sure hope Liam gets to enjoy his retirement now that the steroid injections seem to be working. After his walk-a-bout he seems comfortable with the place & the routine! Thanks for all your updates....they are tremendousley enjoyed. God bless
What a gorgeous boy, he seems very content with his new life 🥰
Thank you!
God keep him safe. He is still smart. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for the prayers and watching our video.
What a fun boy! Love to see them get into safe trouble. Imagine what a stinker he was as a youngster. Great personality!
He is very cute and obviously enjoying his life with you all!
I have watched many of your videos about all the horses, but Liam is one of those who stands out
Liam has so much personality!
He is my favorite one what a personality. You guys are great!
Liam IS the most beautiful boy❤️🤗
Oh those eyes those great big beautiful eyes
They are! Thank you!
Aww Liam even in slow mo you can tell . Proud of him for the escape though lol I'm glad he's ok
What a big lovebug - he certainly enjoys the friendly interactions. He's so cuddly and adorable makes me just want to give him a big bear hug!
What a personality Liam has so cheeky and funny he has truly blossomed since being with you
He's a beautiful horse, love his long white mane, he's such a sweet and affectionate horse, love the blond eyelashes!! Boys will be boys! ❤❤ thank you!
Thank you so much!
Bless his heart he’s walking better
Her is ever so cute and love his blonde eyelashes😊❤
He is so handsome and curious and nosy ❤
The picture of Liam giving you a hug is so beautiful. It made me cry. He is obviously so grateful to you.
He knew exactly what he was doing to get out .😂 What a big stinker...❤ He has a beautiful tail.
He did! I really thought when I went into the barn that he would have destroyed all the gates but it was just the one and all the hay LOL
Oh my gosh he is gorgeous. He has such a character. I wish I could kiss that beautiful nose 😊 I just love him. Please give him a huge hug from me. You are doing a fantastic job. Thank you so much all the way from South Africa. ❤
Beautify boy. Love his eye lashes! ❤️
I love your great work!! The horses are so blessed living with you!! I love drafthorses, so big but so sweet and gentle! Loves from the Netherlands.
Thank you so much!
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo Thank you so much!!! The horses derseved it sooo much!
Liam made me laugh so much in this video! Thank you for saving these precious horses ❤️
Hello Cory & Julie I was wandering is there any kind of lake Liam could go swimming I thought it just help with arthritis in his legs ??
I loved the video he said I am tried of being in here , he speaks his mind Liam is a A gorgeous horse ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰
I so love seeing young kind-hearted individuals winning the affection of these old hard-worked horses...bringing them back to a healthy weight and enjoying their last years together.
Yay! Acupuncture!!! The ole' back kick to open a gate door. 😅. And a walk-about for Liam. What a personality on him! Awh, Horsey angels protected Liam on that pallet.
*******FYI:
Re-watched your video of Liam, and since you are researching, maybe ck out "AnimalEO" business- Crow River Animal Hospital since 2001. Dr Shelton is an integrative (holistic) vet, a Certified Equine Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist, creates Essential oils blends in adequate doses for animals with various issues. She'd be worth considering.
I’m so glad Liam survived his great escape. Since he didn’t get hurt we had a chuckle at the footage of his escape and aftermath. He’s so handsome and goofy. I hope the acupuncture works really well. I’ve always heard that light exercise is good for arthritis so it’s nice to see him out with the herd. Thanks for the update. We care! 💖🐴
OMG look at those lashes!
Oh Julie what a wonderful character Liam is...and an escape artist🤣.. I am so pleased you have posted this video..the last one with Amara absolutely broke my heart..for you and Cory and for Amara letting you know she has had enough.. but back to this guy..those blond eyelashes..heartbreaker material right there.. his is just so funny..especially in the water..what a goofball..poor boy is in pain..I have osteoarthritis so I know exactly how he feels..some days worst than others...watching his escape video slomo showed how stiff he is but that doesn't stop him from enjoying all that life has to offer..his has friends equine and human and fans galore!!!.. he is a very special boy..what an addition to your wonderful group of retirees.. I know a lot of people would say euthanize him as he is in pain but they'd be WRONG..he CLEARLY is enjoying his life to the MAX. . What you and Cory do for these wonderful animals is amazing Julie.. I look forward to seeing your updates to see how they all are getting on..I love them all..but I must say Liam is my favourite. .great about the acupuncture..I've seen it do wonders for horses in other videos..and it won't be as painful as those steroid injections into the bones. Take it from me. .they bloody hurt..but after a few days the relief they give you is worth it..take care of yourself. .🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏👍👏🐎🐎😃🇺🇸
Liam is one Gorgeous horse! His walking has gotten so much better! Thank you for saving this Gorgeous horse!
God Bless
